"Don't you even know who your master is?" Ghost Face swaggered over proudly, boasting, "Do you know what people call my master in our original world? The God of War! Fighting is like eating for him, it's a piece of cake. If your numbers were more than a third of those demon armies outside, my master could lead you to slaughter them like dogs!"
"God of War! So that's how it is!"
"No wonder Young Master Shang's troop deployment is so impressive, he's a war god!"
"I'm truly impressed!"
"I worship you!"
The twenty powerful demons, who initially distrusted Shang Xiye, now hate him so much that they have to flatter him to the skies.
Shang Xiye pursed her lips, wanting to pour cold water on these carefree and oblivious guys.
Thinking about it, I decided against it. Being able to have a good time before they die, and to die with hope, would be a blessing for them.
The rounds of flattery have been exhausted.
The twenty great demons, feeling satisfied with the defeat of this wave of enemy troops, excitedly asked, "Young Master Shang, what do we do now? Continue patrolling, wait to regroup, and annihilate their next wave of scouts?"
“They’ve already lost two waves of scouts and suffered two losses, they won’t fall for it again.” Shang Xiye turned back and said confidently, “The next wave will be a probing attack from them. Go back to your positions and inform the vanguard to prepare to meet the enemy’s first attack within two hours. Tell everyone to conserve their strength as much as possible; it’s not time to fight to the death yet.”
"Alright, alright, we'll do as Young Master Shang says!"
The twenty great demons now obeyed Shang Xiye's every word, attacking wherever he was told.
Outside.
Suhe waited for more than an hour, but not a single scout or even a common bird returned.
Tong Lie lay half-reclined on the back of his mount, striking a muscular and flamboyant pose.
He would occasionally glance at Su He with a mocking look, the meaning of which was self-evident.
Two hours later, there was still no movement in the dense forest, not even the monsters deep in the forest made a sound.
Suhe's face had turned as black as the bottom of the pot.
"So, Suhe, are you going to keep sending scouts in to their deaths, or should we just keep waiting?" Tong Lie finally couldn't hold back any longer and spoke up, chuckling at Suhe as he spoke.
"Fine, let's fight!" Su He glared at the good-for-nothing brute and said irritably, "Since you're so eager, then you can lead the 200,000 demon troops to the front!"
Tong Lie immediately stood up from his mount, his thick eyebrows furrowed, and said, "Su He, are you serious?"
"What, you're afraid? Afraid of being struck by lightning?" Su He sneered without any mercy, saying, "If you're afraid to go yourself, then don't just talk and order others around. You don't care about other people's lives, but as the commander-in-chief of this mission, I have to consider the lives of every member of the demon army. Without them, we're just the two of us commanders alone, and we still can't do anything."
Tong Lie was furious at Su He's retort, but he was speechless.
Because Su He's words clearly garnered the support of all the magical beasts and demonic cultivators around him.
He completely lost his stance on mocking Su He.
"Fine, I admit it, I chickened out. Who here wouldn't chicken out when faced with tribulation lightning? You, Su He?" Tong Lie retorted defiantly, his neck stiff and his breath coming in ragged gasps. "If you're not chicken out, then go for it!"
"Tong Lie, do I have to summon His Majesty before I can shut you up?" Su He was also furious.
