Wuhen took Xique's hand and saw that Xique did not immediately struggle away as usual, and his heart pounded like a drum.
With a quick glance, he led the magpie to another spot.
The two were walking quickly.
Suddenly, the magpie heard a line of neat footsteps crunching through the snow as they approached. It quickly grabbed Wuhen's hand and pulled him back.
Without realizing it, Wuhen was pulled back by her and stumbled; he leaned back and rolled into the bushes behind the artificial hill with the magpie in his arms.
"Ah—Ugh!"
The magpie instinctively cried out, but was immediately silenced by the lips that pressed down on it. The man's undeniable masculine aura, along with the biting cold, filled the nostrils, making one both sober and flustered.
Despite both being dressed in thick black clothing and separated by two layers of black cloth, the soft touch of their lips meeting sent a strange, electric-like tingling sensation through them, making their hearts beat even faster.
A tiny, extremely faint glimmer of cold light against the backdrop of the snow.
When Xique saw that Wuhen's young and sparkling eyes seemed to be burning with the most intense flames in the world, it melted her usually carefree heart and made it soften in an unusual way.
Wuhen was even more excited. He slowly reached out and pulled down the two face towels, then whispered close to her face, "Que'er, I like you. I've liked you for a long time. Will you be my wife?"
Xi Que had seen the son-in-law and daughter loving each other, but she never thought that she would have such a day herself.
At this moment, Wuhen suddenly pressed her down and said these words to her;
Her mind went blank as if a firecracker had gone off.
A strange, fluttering feeling welled up inside her, leaving her unsure how to react.
Instinctively, she wanted to tear off Wuhen's clothes and beat him up, but Wuhen gently embraced her, lowered his head and covered her lips with his. A soft kiss and a promise fell together: "Be my wife, and I will listen to everything you say from now on. All the money I earn and I will be yours. I will only marry you in this life, and I will never take concubines or maids as my second wives, okay?"
The magpie was bewildered, only feeling its face burning as if on fire.
Instinctively feeling that she had been bullied, she subconsciously bit Wuhen, and the taste was quite nice.
Taking advantage of Wuhen's pain and dazed state, she flipped him over and pinned him down, grabbing his collar with a bandit-like air: "You dare to bully your grandma? You're asking for trouble! Miss said we bandits can eat anything, but we can't suffer a loss!"
After saying that, it let out a "woof" and started biting Wuhen.
Wuhen: "..."
Your Highness, your parenting is excellent. Please teach the magpies more in the future.
The two teased each other so much that they compacted the snow behind the artificial hill, almost forgetting what they had come there for.
Fortunately, she accidentally bumped into a bush while rolling, and a clump of snow from a branch fell into the magpie's collar, bringing her back to her senses and finally reminding her of tonight's mission.
Clutching her loosened clothes, Xique got up from the man and said fiercely, "I have a mission today. If you dare to bully me again, I will never let you get away with it, hmph!"
Wuhen, with a fawning smile, was as obsequious and servile as a husky, helping her brush the snowflakes off her clothes and hair.
Inner monologue: Little magpie, you better not let me off the hook next time!
You must punish me severely!
When the two were leaving, Wuhen shamelessly grabbed Xique's hand again.
The sparrow struggled twice but couldn't pull out. He was pinched twice more but still couldn't let go. So, blushing, he obediently stopped making a fuss.
