Chapter 1757 Absolutely Must Not Be a Burden

One of the demonic cultivators secretly glanced at Ji Fenghua.

Ji Fenghua's eyes shone brightly, and she looked furious, seemingly unaware that she had become the Venerable One's disciple.

The other demonic cultivators also glanced at Ji Fenghua and exchanged glances with each other.

The leader then tentatively replied, "Young Master, you need not worry or be angry. Ji Fengxiao is not dead. His Majesty simply took him out and imprisoned him in another place."

"Really?" Ji Fenghua was both surprised and delighted, yet somewhat disbelieving: "But that great demon that day..."

When she thought of and spoke of that great demon, Ji Fenghua's voice suddenly softened and gradually fell silent.

What happened?

The moment he thought of that person, all the anger in his heart suddenly disappeared, replaced by a feeling of special warmth and respect.

He used to only have this feeling when he thought of his father. How could he have this feeling for that big...that person?

Could it be because that person really didn't kill Feng Xiao, because he was actually a kind-hearted person with a fierce appearance?

Ji Fenghua's small face was contorted in a grimace; he felt he was becoming very strange.

He knew perfectly well that the person was a great demon, and that all demons were extremely wicked.

But he couldn't control himself, and his heart instinctively made all sorts of excuses for him, and even wanted to get close to him and see him!

"Oh no, how did I end up like this?" Ji Fenghua's face turned pale, and she clutched the blanket and huddled in bed, stunned.

"Young Master?"

Seeing that he didn't speak, several demonic cultivators looked up and called out to him in a requesting manner.

Ji Fenghua originally wanted to yell at them, but the words that came out before she could finish were: "You all go down first, I want to be alone for a while."

He was stunned as soon as he said it. Why was he being so polite to a few monsters? What was wrong with him?

"Yes, young master," the demonic cultivators replied respectfully as they withdrew.

Before long, they brought Ji Fenghua a lot of delicious food and pastries, and quietly brewed him some fragrant tea.

Ji Fenghua was both surprised and bewildered.

He wondered if they might poison his food and tea, but his body, true to its nature, ate until he was stuffed.

Seeing that these demonic cultivators were treating her so well, Ji Fenghua tentatively walked to the door.

The demonic cultivators stopped him, still speaking with utmost respect: "I'm sorry, young master, the envoy instructed that you cannot leave without His Majesty's orders."

"What if I insist on going out?" Ji Fenghua asked tentatively, "Will you kill me?"

"No, no, please don't make things difficult for us, young master," the leading demonic cultivator said with a bitter face.

Alone in the enemy's lair, and having just learned that Ji Fengxiao was still alive, Ji Fenghua naturally wouldn't be so foolish as to provoke them.

He bit his little fingernail and went back into the cave, completely baffled.

Why did he feel goodwill towards these monsters, and why were these monsters suddenly so respectful to him?

What happened while he was unconscious?

Will his changes affect the rescue operation by his father, brother, sister and brother-in-law?

"No, I absolutely cannot become a burden to my father, brother, sister and brother-in-law. If anything happens to me, then I will..." Ji Fenghua clenched her small fists tightly, her face full of determination.

Although he was young, he was extremely intelligent;

Because of their youth and naivety, their thoughts were simple, and their resolve was even stronger than that of many adults.
