Chapter 211 Are You Sure You Want to Keep Him
Time passed quickly on the island.
The only change from summer to winter is a thicker layer of clothing, and there is still no snow this year.
After dinner, Moros noticed that Ning Yan's hair seemed to have grown longer.
Worried that his hair might be pulled by his opponent during training like before, Moros picked up a pair of scissors and trimmed the ends of his hair.
Ning Yan sat on a small stool, crossed her legs and swung back and forth, looking at the hair falling on both sides. Suddenly, she turned her head and asked him, "Should we give K a haircut too?"
Moros straightened his shaking head. "Me? You want me to die?"
"I'll cut it, I'll cut it. You don't need to do it. Just accompany me." Ning Yan said immediately.
"No."
"Why?"
"He's going to hit me."
"That's because you're a bad mouth! You always scold him!"
"What about the first time?" Moros stopped fiddling with his hair and tilted his head to look at him, frowning. "The first time you asked me to open the door for him, he rushed up like a madman and beat me up the moment I opened the door."
Ning Yan immediately retorted, "But you didn't say at the time that you were going to untie his chain!"
"I was patting his head and he was so well behaved, looking at me without making a fuss. If you suddenly went over and touched him, he would think you were going to hurt him, so of course he would be angry!"
"Didn't you see all the injuries on his body? He must have been locked up and tortured, so he's experiencing stress."
Moros glanced at him with a nonchalant expression, "Anyway, I'm not going. It's not my dog. Whoever has it can go and see it."
"Your words are so harsh." Ning Yan frowned and emphasized, "I already said he's not a dog."
"Have you ever seen anyone named K?"
"I've never seen a dog named K. That's a code name. Do you understand code names? I'll give him a new name later, something more serious."
Moros frowned, raised his eyebrows, and sneered, "Code name? Do you really think he can stay and train with us? If you hadn't begged your instructor, he couldn't even leave the basement. You still want him to train like us? Daydreaming."
"Why are you daydreaming?" Ning Yan turned around and looked at him. Knowing that he was going to be angry, he smiled and said, "Have you forgotten that you can't beat him?"
Moros looked at him expressionlessly, and the scissors in his hand suddenly moved, making a few clicks.
Soon, Ning Yan jumped up from the small bench.
He grabbed the two strands of hair on the ground and stamped his feet in anger, "My hair! I worked so hard to grow it this long! Who told you to cut it so carelessly! Do you know how to cut it?"
Yes, but I just don’t cut it properly.
The final price was that Ning Yan picked up the scissors, climbed onto Moros' head, and gave him a dog-chewed hairstyle.
Both of them were angry and ignored each other for several days.
Moros is arrogant and won't play with anyone except Ning Yan. After a quarrel, he spends all his time training.
On the other hand, Ning Yan has too many friends.
Even if he doesn't play with Moros, he can play with other kids. Anyway, anyone can play with him.
Especially without Moros saying bad things about K in his ear every day, Ning Yan went to the basement more and more often. Apart from training, eating and sleeping, he spent his little rest time on K.
I was planning to cut K's hair that day.
A few months passed and my hair, which was a little long at first, has now grown to my shoulders.
But when Ning Yan picked up the scissors to cut his hair, he suddenly found that he was grabbing his hair and looking at it.
Touch it gently and carefully, not daring to mess it up.
Ning Yan was stunned for a moment, then reacted and asked him with a smile: "Do you like long hair too?"
K looked up at him and nodded lightly, "Yeah."
"Okay then, I won't cut it short for you, but I'll trim it. We can grow our hair long together."
In the following time, Ning Yan went to see his instructor Kaiser more and more frequently.
I told him what I had taught K today, and that K learned very quickly and well, and that K's emotions were becoming more and more stable, and he would no longer hurt others randomly.
After saying this, Ning Yan asked Kaiser expectantly, "Instructor, can I take him out of the dungeon and let him live with me?"
Cather had just come back from outside. He opened his suitcase and took out a small strawberry rubber band he bought for him.
Then he asked Ning Yan to turn around and face away from him.
As he was tying his hair, he asked him with a smile, "Did you have a fight with Moros?"
"How do you know?" Ning Yan asked curiously, then explained, "He always said bad things about K. I didn't like it, so I fought with him."
"Moros is doing this for your own good."
"Why do you say that?"
"Mr. Grant called a few of us to a meeting, and Moros hid on the roof and eavesdropped. He heard a lot of secrets."
"secret?"
"Do you know where your K comes from?" Cather asked him with a smile.
"I don't know. I asked him, but he didn't tell me."
After tying the hair, Kaiser tested the tightness and sat back in the chair when he felt it was okay. He said to Ning Yan who turned around, "The Northern Continent Royal Guards have lost a child."
Ning Yan used to live in the capital. After being abducted, he moved to Continent M. He has not left since he went to Rose Island.
This was the first time he had heard the name Northern Continent. He asked in confusion, "Where are you talking about, Instructor?"
"Rose Island, where we are now, is located between the neighboring countries across the sea from Continent M."
"What about the Royal Guards?"
"It's a department that trains special guards for members of the royal family. There are many, many children your age there, and they undergo the same day-in-day training as you do, but their training is a thousand times more rigorous than yours. People die there every day, many, many deaths."
No matter how outstanding Ning Yan was, he was still just a child. He was stunned when he heard this and felt a little scared. "People die every day? Why do they die?"
"They're killing each other." Kaiser was worried that he was frightened, so he walked over, put his arms around him, and continued, "They're just like you. They need to train and fight in competitions, but if you lose, you leave. If they lose, they die."
The body in my arms stiffened slightly.
Kaiser steadied his body, looked into his eyes, and asked him softly, "If nothing unexpected happens, K might have escaped from there."
"Escaped?"
"Yes." Cather asked him, "In that case, do you still want him to keep him?"
Ning Yan immediately said, "Why not? If we send him back, wouldn't he most likely die? After all, who can always win? But if he loses after returning, wouldn't he die?"
Kaiser explained, "The children of the Northern Continent Royal Guard have been in training camp since birth. They are different from you. Many of them only follow orders and have no emotions."
Ning Yan immediately thought of K.
Yes, that's what he really seems to be.
He is always cold, expressionless, and unable to express himself. The only thing he is good at is fighting.
No wonder Moros always said K looked like a dog. It did look like one, but it wasn't the kind of pet dog you keep at home to guard the house or play with for fun.
He is more like a ferocious wolfhound, hound, or even a Tibetan mastiff with a very high risk level.
They have no ability to think too much and only obey their masters.
——Ning Yan is his current master.
"Are you sure you want to keep him?" Cather asked him again.
Ning Yan thought for three seconds, nodded heavily, and said seriously: "I'm sure! I will teach him to be a good instructor. I promise that he will become a very good person!"
Seeing the determination in his eyes, Kaiser was stunned.
Then, he smiled and touched Ning Yan's head, saying gently: "Xiao Yan, it seems that I was not wrong. You are an excellent and kind child. I believe you will teach him well."
