"Da da da!"
The sound of high heels clicking softly on the steps rang out. Wen Xiu, dressed in a sharp suit, slowly stood up and looked at her younger sister who was walking down the stairs.
His eyes were filled with murderous intent. He had been sent by his family to Hangzhou to develop the coastal market, and was considered a local warlord.
But unexpectedly, his youngest sister suddenly came to Hangzhou to compete with him, and the rest of the family turned a blind eye to it.
Left with no other choice, he sent his men to exchange blows with Wen Wan both openly and secretly, but to his surprise, they suffered repeated defeats.
He came to Wen Wan's residence today to try and ease the tension between the two sides. If he couldn't make peace, he might as well declare war directly.
“My dear sister, it’s been so long, and you haven’t even come to see your brother.”
Wenxiu pretended to go up and greet her warmly, but Wenwan stopped in her tracks.
"Shut up."
"You..." Wen Xiu was speechless for a moment, and an angry look appeared on her face.
"In short, I want Hangzhou."
When Wen Wan uttered those words, she was like an empress ruling the world, and her cold eyes sent a chill down Wen Xiu's spine.
He had seen that look before. Several years ago, Wen Wan had shown that look once, and a Kyoto catering tycoon who had opposed her went bankrupt and lost his family a month later.
Unlike before, when he stood behind her, now he stands on the opposite side.
This was no ordinary pressure; it felt like my very soul was being crushed and cracking.
"Why should I? My family sent me to manage the Southeast market! You have no right to kick me out."
Faced with such an imposing aura, Wen Xiu was unable to utter the words she had prepared beforehand, and could only resort to invoking her family's name to defend herself.
Wen Wan slowly walked up to Wen Xiu and held up two fingers.
"Get out of Hangzhou, or I'll drive you out of here."
Upon hearing those few words, Wen Xiu turned pale and involuntarily took a step back.
"Are you crazy! What are you trying to achieve? You'll kill a thousand enemies, but you'll also lose eight hundred of your own. You won't feel good about it!"
The thought of Wen Wan's terrifying wealth and connections made him wonder if he could really withstand her if she were to fight him to the death at any cost.
Even if you win in the end, what will you have left?
As for Wen Wan, does she even care?
No! This woman is insane! She doesn't even consider how much money she'll lose!
The Kyoto tycoons and their heirs who have fallen to her over the years are the best proof of this.
This woman always acts swiftly and ruthlessly; no one can keep up with any of her moves!
Wen Wan looked coldly at Wen Xiu, who was filled with fear, but her mind was not on the matter at all.
Her mind was filled with Chen Luo's image; she really wanted to see him right now.
It's been almost an hour since I last saw him. I miss the scent of his neck so much; I'm afraid I won't be able to resist the urge to nibble on it.
At that moment, the notification sound from her phone rang again. Wen Wan picked it up and glanced at it. The next second, her eyes flashed with murderous intent, and the killing intent emanating from her body seemed to solidify into a tangible form.
The temperature in the air seemed to drop a few degrees as Wen Xiu met those eyes that were filled with murderous intent.
This crazy woman is serious! She's trying to kill me and ruin my family.
Lifting her long skirt, Wenwan took a step forward and passed Wenxiu.
At this moment, Wen Wan glanced at her assistant, and without lingering, walked towards the door.
Just as her assistant picked up her phone to dial, Wen Xiu cried out, "I'm leaving! I'm leaving! I give up!"
Wen Wan didn't look at him again, walked straight out of the villa, got into the Maybach that had been waiting for her, and sped off towards Hangzhou University.
Watching Wen Wan's departing figure, the assistant felt an overwhelming sense of respect.
In just a few words, he defeated the Fifth Young Master, who had been in charge of the southeastern coast for several years. Such ruthlessness and decisiveness are rare in the world.
Wen Xiu walked out of the villa, looking dejected, muttering to herself, "Where is she rushing off to? Does she even think it's unnecessary to mock me, a defeated general?"
The assistant picked up his phone, glanced at it, sighed, and couldn't help but feel a bitter smile.
Fifth Young Master, my young lady is really in a hurry; she's going to snatch her little puppy.
Who would have thought that Wen Wan, who was decisive and ruthless and remained calm even when Mount Tai collapsed before her, would care so much about an ordinary college student—or rather, be infatuated with him?
The assistant looked at his phone. People monitoring Chen Luo usually send two messages, one to himself and one directly to Wen Wan.
Just minutes earlier, Wenwan's phone had also received the same message.
Tang Xiwei is about to arrive at Chen Luo's dormitory building; her purpose is unclear.
...
Ten minutes ago, at Hangzhou University, in girls' dormitory number 8.
"Bang!" The phone slammed heavily on the table, and several cracks appeared on the tempered glass screen protector.
A pure-looking female college student dressed in a fairy-like short skirt sat at the table with an angry expression, her eyes seemingly spitting fire.
"Chen Luo, you bastard! How dare you insult me! I will never speak to you again!"
Tang Xiwei, who had just been scolded by Chen Luo and had her phone hung up on, was practically spitting fire in her eyes. She was so angry that her small, flat chest started to heave, showing just how furious she was.
Tang Xiwei has always been the center of attention since childhood, with almost all the boys around her doing their best to make her happy.
She always felt that she had treated Chen Luo quite well; at least she gave him hope and told him that as long as he could become more outstanding, she would still consider him.
But Chen Luo actually gave the flowers he was going to give to him to a complete stranger.
This stranger looks much prettier than me!
How could this be? How could someone else take the fish from my pond!
"Xiwei, don't cry. Anyway, Chen Luo isn't your boyfriend, and you didn't accept his confession, so you haven't lost anything. Don't be sad."
Dorm leader Fang Lin walked over and gently patted her on the back.
"No! No matter what, he can't treat me like this! Can't he just stand his ground?"
"Can't he become better? Can't he earn more money to please me? I've already promised him that as long as he meets my standards, I will accept him."
This series of questions left Fang Lin bewildered, and she could only mutter, "What if someone even more outstanding than him is also pursuing you?"
"Then I'll definitely choose the better one. I can't compromise myself for him, can I?"
Fang Lin was completely baffled by this theory and didn't know what to say for a moment.
“I think Xiwei is right. People should be realistic. Why should they waste their youth to suffer with a man?”
Lin Tingting, who was in the bed next to Tang Xiwei, spoke up, clearly agreeing with this theory.
"Xiwei, if you ask me, you should just ignore Chen Luo. I heard that Liu Feng, a sophomore, said he'd drive his dad's Mercedes to pick you up for a drive. He's a real catch."
Upon hearing this, Tang Xiwei's expression softened, but she still felt she had nowhere to vent her anger.
"Let's keep Liu Feng hanging for now and see how sincere he really is... Tingting, come with me to find Chen Luo. I'm determined to get an explanation from him!"
