The studio is open and transparent in all aspects of its script solicitation. There is no intentional operation of withholding scripts. Moreover, the prize money for this script solicitation is very generous, far higher than the market price of ordinary scripts.
The conditions for the call for submissions were clearly stated at the outset: the entire script needed to be submitted at once. This was clearly stated in the call for submissions.
Everyone sent all the scripts at once, not just part of them. But this person ignored the request and sent part of it. Yan Mofei was not going to indulge him.
What surprised Yan Mofei was that after a while, the studio's mailbox received all the contents of the script, but the account number was not the same.
The signature at the beginning also changed.
It's really interesting that one script was written by two different people.
Yan Mofei read the content of the script and found it to be really good, better than the script he had received before.
The story tells about the protagonist's first time going out to sea with others to fish, but they encountered a sudden fog, lost their way on the boat, and were attacked by a school of sharks at sea.
Just when everyone thought they were doomed, an unnamed island appeared in front of them.
Several people came to the island to repair the ship, but they were attacked by various monsters on the island. In the end, they found that the entire island was actually a sleeping monster.
The hero leads the others in a desperate struggle for survival, only to discover that the monster is indestructible no matter what they do. Everyone sacrifices themselves, and the hero relies on the shark's power to escape the island, only to find that the road ahead is once again blocked by fog, making life or death uncertain.
This open ending seems to allow for a second season.
This script has a lot of action scenes, and the monsters on the island and the sleeping monster at the end are all tests for the filmmaker and special effects production.
It’s quite difficult to take a picture of it.
And Yan Mofei likes this kind of challenge.
Yan Mofei immediately made a decision and asked his subordinates to contact the author of the script for discussion.
The location is in Yan Mofei's studio. Since he bought it, he has hardly used it and it has been idle.
However, Yan's will take over this place, and someone will come to clean it regularly. You can just go in and use it directly, it won't be messy at all.
Yan Zhen sent a few people to accompany him, just to pretend to be working so that the studio would not look too shabby.
Yan Mofei did not refuse this.
The person who came was a young man dressed very simply and wearing black-framed glasses. He looked to be in his twenties.
There are still a few pimples on her face, and she looks very shy.
When I was brought to the office, I was even a little at a loss and very nervous.
Facing the hand extended by Yan Mofei, he wiped his hands on his clothes several times before quickly shaking hands with Yan Mofei.
"Hello, I'm Yan Mofei."
"Hello, I'm Lin Po, the author of 'Misty Mystery Island'. I know you. I've seen the TV shows you acted in, and your acting is very, very good. You, you are my, idol."
Lin Po was not only nervous, but also a little excited.
He carefully took out a notebook from his pocket, which contained a photo of Yan Mofei.
"Can I ask my idol to sign an autograph for me?"
He stuttered, but his attitude was very pious.
"Of course." Yan Mofei generously signed for him and then invited him to sit down.
There are fruits and vegetables on the table, all of which are the freshest and most delicious.
Yang Xiaoli brought two drinks and asked, "You're not allergic to any fruit, are you?"
"No, I'm in good health. I haven't had any allergies."
"Then it's a good opportunity to try my new fruit drink."
Lin Po quickly stood up and thanked Yang Xiaoli: "Thank you, thank you Sister Xiaoli."
Yang Xiaoli smiled and sat next to Yan Mofei, her eyes shining as she asked, "Do you know me?"
"Of course."
"Don't be nervous, we are all very good and we don't eat people."
Lin Po took a sip of the drink, took a deep breath, and calmed himself down.
"Sorry, I'm just too nervous to meet my idol. I really enjoyed the variety show you two did together. You two make a great couple."
"I never thought that my script would be chosen by my idol. I am so happy."
He never dreamed that one day he would be able to have such close contact with Yan Mofei and Yang Xiaoli. He even had an autographed photo of Yan Mofei.
"There's no doubt that you're quite talented at scriptwriting. The monsters on the island you described, as well as the experiences of the hero and his teammates, are indeed quite fascinating."
"Thank you for the compliment, idol."
Lin Po's nervousness dissipated a lot. He took another sip of the drink and squinted his eyes happily.
Just then, there was a commotion outside. Yan Mofei looked up and saw a slightly plump man with a greasy hair standing at the office door.
He was wearing a leather jacket and his shoes were polished to a shine, but his face was filled with anger.
"Okay, Lin Po, I knew you were here. How could you plagiarize someone else's work and then come to discuss cooperation with them?"
Lin Po was so frightened that he stood up instantly and shouted to the person who came: "Manager Ma."
Then he continued to explain in a panic, bewildered manner: "I, I didn't. I wrote the script myself, I didn't plagiarize."
He was so anxious that his face turned red, and he looked at Yan Mofei with an extremely helpless look.
Ma Mingbin ignored him, walked into the office with a smile and nodded to Yan Mofei.
"Hello, Boss Yan. The script for 'Misty Mystery Island' that you chose was actually written by me. I didn't expect that when I just asked him to edit the manuscript, he would have the audacity to submit it as his own work."
