Ji Zhuo, however, seemed somewhat reserved, only responding with a faint smile.
His heart was full of love, but he dared not express it freely, fearing that his overly passionate feelings would scare Lin Xihe away again.
In his view, even just silently staying by her side was better than her suddenly disappearing into the vast sea of people and never being seen again.
"Sit here," Lin Xihe said, pointing to the low stools next to the cradle.
Ji Zhuo sat down as instructed, and Lin Xihe poured a cup of tea and gently placed it in front of him.
For a moment, the atmosphere in the room became somewhat awkward.
