Lin Xihe kept an eye on the commotion outside. Not far from the window, two more vendors set up their stalls.
Lang Feng glanced at Lin Xihe, then turned his gaze to the two vendors.
Lin Xihe immediately understood; these two were also Lang Feng's men.
Fortunately, vendors were everywhere on the streets of Nanzhao, and the two unfamiliar vendors did not attract Mu Ruoyan's attention.
Lin Xihe sipped her tea, her eyes drawn to a fruit vendor outside the door. She would occasionally peek out, pretending to be curious about what the vendor was selling.
After a while, Lin Xihe put down her teacup and said, "Mu Ruoyan, how come you have no sense at all?"
"What's wrong?" Mu Ruoyan smiled helplessly.
"Didn't you see me staring at that vendor for a long time?"
"It's my fault, I'll go buy it right away." Mu Ruoyan finally realized what was going on.
Just as Mu Ruoyan got up and started to walk out, a soft voice called out from under the window next to Lin Xihe: "Miss, do you need me to take you away now?" Lin Xihe glanced quickly and saw it was the same vendor selling wild game from earlier.
"How many of you came?" Lin Xihe asked in a low voice, glancing warily in Mu Ruoyan's direction, but he didn't turn around.
"one hundred."
"At midnight three days from now, set fire to the house to provide cover. Let's go," Lin Xihe said quickly.
In just over ten seconds, Lin Xihe transmitted the crucial information, and everything returned to its seemingly normal state.
Mu Ruoyan squatted down in front of the vendor, lifting the hem of her long robe, and carefully selected the fruit. When she looked up into the house, she saw Lin Xihe smiling at her, without a trace of anything unusual.
Mu Ruoyan bought loquats and cherries and asked the waiter to take them away to wash.
Mu Ruoyan sat down again.
Lin Xihe spoke first, her voice soft and sweet: "Since the Third Prince personally chose it, I will definitely eat more."
Upon hearing this, a hint of pleasure flashed in Mu Ruoyan's eyes, and she said softly, "If you can eat more, I can go out and buy it for you every day."
Lin Xihe lowered her eyes, a perfectly timed smile playing on her lips.
In her heart, her obedience was nothing but a pretense, and Mu Ruoyan's so-called deep affection was nothing more than a show she put on when she had nothing better to do.
But as long as the escape plan can be successfully implemented, she doesn't mind continuing to act with Mu Ruoyan.
Before long, the clear breeze outside and the two vendors by the window gradually disappeared into the crowd. Lin Xihe remained calm, as if nothing had happened, her every move natural, as she calmly dined with Mu Ruoyan.
Although having someone to meet her would definitely improve her and Gu Qinghuai's situation, the sudden arrival of a hundred people made Lin Xihe uneasy. She felt that with Mu Ruoyan's shrewdness, she might not be completely unaware of this.
However, since things had come to this point, the escape plan was imperative. She no longer cared too much about whether Mu Ruoyan had noticed anything, and only secretly strengthened her resolve in her heart.
