Chapter 21 Returning to Rescue the Beauty

Ji Zhuo raised his hand and yanked open the door. The plump village woman outside came into view. He glanced at her coldly, then brushed past her and strode away.

When the village woman first saw Ji Zhuo's handsome face, she was stunned and stood there dumbfounded. Her eyes were drawn to him as if by a magnet, and she couldn't help but take a few more glances. It wasn't until Ji Zhuo's figure disappeared around the corner of the alley that she came back to her senses and remembered the "important mission" she had to take today.

She snorted coldly, her fleshy face trembling, and strode into the house. Upon seeing Lin Xihe, she immediately launched into a tirade: "I only went back to my parents' home, and you, you little hussy, can't even stand the loneliness? My family is determined to offer ten taels of silver to marry you. Isn't that enough sincerity? And yet, you go and seduce Doctor Ye's family, and now you have a wild man hiding in your house. Do you really think you're some kind of celestial being descended to earth, able to do whatever you want?"

As she spoke, she took a few steps to stand in front of Lin Xihe, her massive body like a small mountain, completely blocking Lin Xihe's path.

"Get lost, I don't have time to deal with you right now." Lin Xihe's eyebrows furrowed, and she pushed the village woman with both hands, but her frail body was like an ant trying to shake a tree, and the village woman did not budge.

"You little slut, how dare you speak to me like that?" The village woman glared, rolling her eyes, and spat viciously.

"I don't have time to argue with you, get out of the way!" Lin Xihe raised her voice and shouted angrily, exerting force again, but still couldn't budge him an inch.

“I told my family when I went back to my parents’ home that my Tiedan must get married this year. Since you are so unchaste, you can forget about the ten taels of silver. But my Tiedan marrying you is a done deal. You have to come home with me today.”

After saying that, the village woman stretched out her large, fan-like hand and grabbed Lin Xihe's collar. The force of her grip gradually increased, causing Lin Xihe's neck to ache.

Lin Xihe was extremely anxious and hurriedly shouted at the top of her lungs, "A-Zhuo!"

They could only hope that Ji Zhuo would hear their cries for help.

Upon hearing this, the village woman immediately sneered: "Hmph, you still want that adulterer to save you? No way! Now you'd better come back with me obediently."

The village woman tightened her grip again, and Lin Xihe, who was already weak, was now completely powerless to fight back. She could only cry out helplessly, "Azhuo, save me."

Just as Lin Xihe was about to be dragged out of the door by the fierce village woman, a series of hurried footsteps came from outside. It turned out that Aunt Li had heard the commotion and rushed over.

Upon seeing this commotion, she quickly shouted, "Tie Dan's mother, what are you doing? You'll be going to jail for this!"

Aunt Li frowned, her face full of worry, trying to stop this absurd behavior.

"Why would she go to jail? Once I bring her home and have sex with my son, she'll naturally behave and be obedient."

The village woman yelled at the top of her lungs, showing no remorse on her face. Her fleshy muscles trembled with each word, giving her an unreasonable and shrewish appearance. She dragged Lin Xihe with undiminished force.

"Tie Dan's mother, what you're doing is too outrageous! How can you force someone like this? You're going to ruin this girl's reputation!" Aunt Li stomped her feet angrily and tried to persuade her.

"What's wrong with that? She's a lonely woman wandering around outside. Even if my son doesn't marry her, she might still be taken advantage of by someone else someday. I'm actually doing a good deed!"

The village woman pursed her lips, arguing irrationally, her eyes flashing with a fierce glint as she continued to drag Lin Xihe toward the door.

Lin Xihe was dragged along. Her ankle, which was almost healed, now felt like it was being burned by fire. Waves of excruciating pain struck her, causing her to break out in a cold sweat.

The village woman's grip was extremely strong, causing her chest to ache and making it difficult to breathe. She could only struggle desperately, but to no avail.

At this critical moment, Ji Zhuo suddenly appeared.

Immediately afterwards, the burly village woman was kicked hard. With a cry of "Ouch!", she was thrown off balance like a heavy sack and fell heavily to the ground. She couldn't get up for a long time, groaning and moaning.

Lin Xihe, who was originally staggering, suddenly fell into a firm embrace.

She frantically looked up at Ji Zhuo, her eyes instantly reddening. She gripped Ji Zhuo's arm tightly and cried out in a sob, "A-Zhuo, save me."

"Weren't you very capable just now?"

Lin Xihe looked at the village woman without saying a word.

Seeing Lin Xihe's pitiful state, with her clothes torn and tattered, Ji Zhuo couldn't bring himself to say anything to scold her.

"Can you still walk?"

Lin Xihe bit her lip, shook her head, and tears welled up in her eyes: "My feet hurt a lot."

Upon seeing this, Ji Zhuo picked up Lin Xihe without saying a word, walked over to the village woman who was still groaning on the ground, and looked down at her.

"If you dare to bother me again, I will make sure your whole family is killed. You can try if you don't believe me." The voice was not loud, but it was filled with a chilling killing intent.

Upon hearing this, the burly village woman trembled with fear, not daring to lift her head. The cries of pain she had been making abruptly ceased, and she dared not even breathe, cowering on the ground, shivering, yet not daring to utter another word.

Ji Zhuo carried Lin Xihe and turned to walk into the courtyard. Lin Xihe was afraid that she would fall, so she instinctively hugged Ji Zhuo's neck tightly with both hands and dared not move.

As Lin Xihe passed by Aunt Li, she forced a smile and said in a voice that sounded somewhat calm: "Aunt Li, this is my brother. I'm fine. You can go back now. Thank you for today."

His words were polite and reassuring, hoping to put Aunt Li at ease and stop her from worrying about him.
