Chapter 39
The warm sunlight shone on the front gate of the Minamino residence.
The luxury car came to a smooth stop.
As soon as Nan Ye Xiu got out of the car, he immediately went around to the other side and opened the car door.
Sakura gently cradled Kiichi, who was wrapped in a baby swaddle, in her arms. Her face showed slight fatigue, but her smile was gentle.
"Welcome home," Shuichi said softly, taking the baby care bag from her hands.
His gaze fell on her and her son, his eyes as gentle as when they first met.
The villa door opened, and the maid and butler had been waiting for a long time. The living room was filled with exquisite baby decorations.
"Welcome home, Madam and Young Master!"
Sakura nodded her thanks somewhat shyly.
But before they had taken more than a few steps, Xiao Hui in their arms burst into tears.
"Oh."
She immediately stopped and gently coaxed her son.
"What's wrong, Huiyi? Is your diaper wet, or... are you hungry?"
Minamino Shuichi walked over and frowned slightly: "I had someone prepare a changing table, do you want me to check it?"
"Hmm." Sakura gently shook her head, carrying her son as she walked towards the master bedroom.
"Let's go check the room first; I bet they're just hungry."
She carried Xiaohui into the bedroom and carefully checked to make sure the diaper was clean.
The baby was still sucking on his little fist, crying intermittently, clearly with hunger in his voice.
"I was really hungry..."
She sighed softly, gently closed the door, and then sat down on the recliner by the window.
With practiced yet gentle movements, she pulled the loose-fitting dress down to her chest.
Xiao Hui immediately smelled the scent of breast milk, stopped crying, and instinctively moved closer to the warmth.
Sakura gently cradled his little head, letting him take her mouth into his mouth.
Sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating her profile and the baby in her arms.
It created a quiet and sacred scene.
A short while later, the door was gently pushed open.
Minamino Shuichi stood quietly at the doorway, watching the scene unfold.
The person immediately fell silent.
She sat by the window, her child quietly nursing in her arms.
She cradled her son in one arm and gently patted his back with the other.
Her eyes were gentle, her lips curved into a smile, and her features were as soft as spring breeze melting snow.
He almost held his breath, feeling his heart beating faster than ever before.
This is his wife, the mother of his children—
She's so beautiful, you can't take your eyes off her.
She seemed to notice his gaze and turned to look at him.
Those sea-blue eyes held a hint of mischievous laughter.
What are you doing standing there?
Minamino Shuichi cleared his throat and walked in.
But his gaze couldn't help but linger on her chest.
Even though he was trying his best to control his gaze.
"I just... came to see you all."
"Look at us?"
Sakura blinked, her smile deepening.
She looked down at Huiyi, who was nursing, then looked up at his awkward expression.
Suddenly, a charming smile curved her lips.
"You wouldn't be—envious of your son, would you?"
Nan Yexiu paused for a moment, his ears burning.
He wanted to explain, but he saw that she had an expression that said she already knew what he was thinking.
She raised her hand to gently cover her lips, hiding her laughter, and playfully began to speak:
"You can't steal Huiyi's food."
"I didn't..." He stammered, then after a long pause, he said in a muffled voice:
"I just think you're...so beautiful right now."
"Um?"
"Just like... when you were pregnant with Huiyi, you wanted to cherish every single glance."
Sakura's cheeks flushed slightly, but her smile became even more charming and captivating.
She looked down at Huiyi in her arms and gently patted the baby's back.
"Then let's work hard and talk about it again after our son is weaned, Dad."
Nanno Hideichi smiled, walked over, and squatted down beside her.
He gently placed his hand over hers, which was holding Huiyi's hand.
"No matter what, you and he will always be the treasures I want to protect most in my life."
She leaned gently on his shoulder, her voice as soft as a feather falling to the ground.
"I know."
At that moment, the world was quiet, but my heart was pounding.
A breeze outside lifted a corner of the curtains, letting in slanted sunlight.
Gentle light and shadow were cast upon them.
And a new life for this family of three is quietly unfolding.
As night deepened, the lights at the Minamino House became soft.
The air was filled with a faint scent of milk and the sweet fragrance of garden roses.
In the bedroom, Sakura, wearing a soft light pink nightgown, leaned against the headboard, gently patting Kiichi in her arms.
The baby doesn't seem to be used to the new environment yet; he keeps frowning and pouting.
Its tiny appearance is so cute it melts your heart.
"Shh—Huiyi, keep your voice down, Mom's here."
Sakura gently coaxed him, her tone as gentle as a breeze across a lake.
Not far away, Minamino Shuichi had already changed out of his coat and unbuttoned his sleeves.
He walked to the bedside, looked at the little one in his wife's arms, and smiled slightly.
"It seems the young master is going to cause quite a ruckus tonight."
"It would be strange if he didn't cry." Sakura smiled helplessly and indulgently.
"He's only a few days old, so he's still unfamiliar with the world."
Hideichi Minamino reached out and gently took his son.
"Come on, let Daddy hold you for a bit, and Mommy can rest too."
Sakura nodded and handed the baby to him.
Shuichi Minamino moved very carefully, while Teruichi, whom he held in his arms, blinked his little eyes.
Seemingly sensing a familiar presence, the crying gradually subsided.
"See?"
He smiled smugly.
"Dad's hugs are also very helpful."
Sakura smiled and said, "If Huiyi cries in the middle of the night, Daddy will hold him until he falls asleep."
"make a deal."
He looked down at the tiny life in his arms, his eyes so tender they were almost transparent.
"However... I never imagined that something so small would make me so afraid of hurting it."
Sakura paused for a moment, then chuckled softly, "Because he was created by you and me together."
Her words softened Minamino Hideichi's heart completely.
He sat down on the edge of the bed and let Huiyi lean on his shoulder, patting him gently.
“Huiyi,” he whispered gently.
"Remember, your mother is the bravest and gentlest woman in the world."
Sakura was taken aback, then smiled with reddened eyes: "Why did you suddenly say that?"
“Because I was just thinking about it,” he said, turning to look at her, his voice soft yet earnest.
"I used to think that marriage was a responsibility, but I later realized that it was actually about peace of mind."
With you at home, I feel that no matter how tired I am, I can always walk back through this door.
Sakura's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she raised her hand to stroke his face.
"Me too." She smiled slightly.
“I used to tour alone and perform in other places.”
Every time I see the empty backstage after the curtain falls, I think—
"If only I could have a home, and someone waiting for me."
She looked at him, her eyes as gentle as water.
"Now, I have you and Huiyi. Thank you, Shuichi."
Shuichi Minamino lowered his head and gently kissed her forehead.
"I should be thanking you."
He murmured,
"Thank you for turning me from a lonely man into a husband and father."
Huiyi seemed to be affected by their tone, and his little mouth moved slightly, letting out a small "hmm".
The two looked at each other and smiled.
"Look, he's agreeing with you too," Sakura chuckled.
“Of course.” Minamino Hideichi patted his son’s back gently.
"My two little angels are very well-behaved."
"two?"
"Yes, one is in my arms, and the other is in my heart."
Sakura was taken aback, her cheeks slowly turning red.
She reached out and gently tapped him.
"When did you learn to say such mushy things?"
"After we get married," he said with a confident smile.
"This is a skill upgrade after marriage."
As time slowly passed, Huiyi's breathing gradually became steady, and he slept soundly.
Sakura leaned against Minamino Shuichi's chest and gently stroked her son's little fingers.
"That's amazing."
She murmured, "So happiness has a sound."
What was that sound?
"It's his soft breathing."
Shuichi Minamino smiled and reached out to put his arm around her.
"And your heartbeat."
The lights inside the room gradually softened.
The breathing of the two people, one big and one small, mingled in the night.
Minamino Hideichi gently patted his wife's back.
"Sleep well, Sakura. I'll watch over you tonight."
The breeze outside the window gently rustled the roses in the garden.
The night was quiet and gentle, almost melting away the passage of time.
