Chapter 73

Chapter 73

Yueming went to look at the wound on his waist again. The tattoo had not yet fully developed, and the redness and swelling had not subsided, and it was also ulcerated. The whole waist was a horrible sight.

She felt distressed and angry at him for not taking care of his body. She couldn't help but scold him, "What the hell are you doing? You have a wound and you still want to take a shower. How dirty will it get if you don't wash for a day?

Yun Kai turned his head slightly and looked at her: "I know I was wrong. I feel very uncomfortable now. Please don't scold me."

Yueming pursed her lips tightly and used the needle tip of the syringe to prick the abscess.

If there were only one or two boils, Yun Kai could have endured them by gritting his teeth, but the boils on his waist were all connected. When Yue Ming opened the largest boil, his body violently convulsed, his brow knitted in pain, and tiny moans escaped through his clenched teeth.

Yueming knew he was in pain, but at the moment she had no way to relieve him. She could only comfort him softly, "Just bear with it a little longer. I'll be fine soon."

Yunkai was in so much pain that the two shoulder blades were pressed against each other and his whole body was shaking. When Yueming finally said, "It's okay," these two words were like the sound of nature. All his strength was drained away by the pain. He lay paralyzed on the bed with his arms and legs spread out. He was afraid of pulling the wound on his waist and didn't even dare to breathe hard.

Yueming used a cotton gauze dipped in strong liquor to wipe Yunkai's skin, which was covered with sweat from the pain. As the liquor evaporated, his body became cooler. The wind blew in through the open window, and Yunkai shivered involuntarily. Yueming quickly closed the window.

Seeing her so busy, Yun Kai buried his head in his arms and sneered, "You must be cursing me in your heart, saying that I am vindictive. I took care of you when you were sick before, and now you want to make up for it."

Yueming sat back down on the bed and reached out to brush his hair. Normally, it was combed neatly with hair oil and wax, but now it was all hanging down, stained with sweat. Yueming said softly, "Why are you making up stories about me? How could I not come and take care of you when you're this sick?"

Yunkai had been smeared with liquor, and the heat from being burned by the fire had faded somewhat. He half-closed his eyes, his thin lips slightly parted, and looked drowsy. Yueming saw this and prepared to go and tell Yintai outside.

Just as she stood up, her wrist was grabbed. Yun Kai's eyes, dark from the high fever, were misty. He looked at her with a pleading expression, "Where are you going? Can you stay with me tonight?"

Seeing him lying limply on the bed, Yueming's heart could no longer be hardened. She placed her hand on the palm that was tightly holding her wrist and whispered, "I'm not leaving. The mistress and the master are still waiting outside. I'll go tell them and come back to be with you right away."

Yunkai let go with peace of mind. Yueming went out and told Yintai and the others about Yunkai's situation. Master Han was a little worried and wanted to go in to check, but was stopped by Yintai.

Yin Tai said to Yue Ming with a pleasant expression, "Good boy, I'll have to trouble you to take care of him tonight. I can feel more at ease with you here. This kid really scared me tonight."

Yueming was already at a loss as to how to ask to stay. She was a young woman, staying in a grown man's room late at night, even if it was for medical treatment. Yintai gave her a way out.

Yin Tai dragged Han Tusi away. Li Yang gave Yueming a meaningful look without saying anything, then left calmly with his hands behind his back. Yueming saw Feng Xiaosai still clutching his chest while he spoke, and knew that he had been badly kicked by Han Tusi. He asked Ai Ye to take him home and get some white medicine to take.

Feng Xiaosai didn't dare to leave. He leaned down and said to Yueming, "Miss Yueming, don't worry about me. I have some medicinal wine in my room to treat injuries. Just go back and rub yourself."

Yueming frowned and lectured him, "Don't argue with me. Your young master is still lying in bed. How can you serve him if you don't heal your injuries quickly?"

Feng Xiaosai left with many thanks. Yueming turned back to her room, and Yunkai asked her to lie down on the bed.

Yueming bit her lip and retreated to the end of the bed, telling Yunkai not to look back. Yunkai agreed, his eyes fixed on the white wall. The shadow of the girl undressing was clearly reflected on the wall.

Suddenly, he heard a snap, and he turned quietly. It was Yueming, climbing onto the bed and kicking off her shoes. After a gentle rustling, Yueming threw back the covers and lay down beside Yunkai. Enduring the pain from the wound on his waist, he struggled to turn sideways and reach out to pull Yueming into his arms. Yueming's body, still cool, pressed against his heated chest, and he sighed in relief.

Yueming buried her head in his chest, inhaling his alcoholic body odor and said in a humming voice, "You'd better lie down. If you fall asleep and turn over and press on the wound, it will be no joke."

Yun Kai whispered in her ear: "I have missed you a lot these days, do you miss me?"

Yueming wrinkled her nose and exposed him: "You miss me? You miss me so much that you want to go shopping?"

Yun Kai stroked her forehead with his chin: "I am mad at you. I send you things every day, but you ignore me and even send the raccoon slave back."

Yueming raised her head from his embrace and looked at him suspiciously: "So you deliberately made yourself sick so that I could come to see you?"

"How could I be that stupid?" Yun Kai stared at the girl before him, his hot breath hitting her forehead, blowing her wispy bangs to the sides. The girl's cat-like pupils, widened in anger, reflected his face. His heart ached suddenly, and he complained in a wronged voice, "Your father is back, and you have someone to back you up, so you don't remember me anymore, right? You don't even like my cat anymore."

Yueming's voice was even more aggrieved than his: "No, it was my senior brother who frightened me and told me the story of the Pu Si ghost. I was scared, so I returned the raccoon slave."

Yunkai opened his arms around her, closed his eyes and said sadly, "Look, you always have so many reasons to block me. I'm so sick, and you won't even try to comfort me."

Seeing that he was a little sad, Yueming quickly reached out to hold his shoulders and gently admitted her mistake: "I was wrong. You were obviously thinking about me, but I was so petty that I kept arguing with you for not coming to see me in person. I won't do that again. Can you forgive me?"

Yun Kai closed his eyes and ignored her. She bit her lip, pouted, and kissed him on the lips. The warm touch made Yun Kai open his eyes. He was happy in his heart, but he said, "Why are you doing this? Aren't you afraid that I will pass on my illness to you?"

Yueming curled his lips in his heart. He was already sleeping face to face, and he was still worried that you would catch your illness? Besides, you have a high fever caused by inflammation, not a cold. He would be furious if he said that. Yueming gently held his face and coaxed him: "It's okay, if you catch your illness and give it to me, we can lie down together and recuperate."

She had been using sweet words to flatter him for a long time, telling him that if he followed her wishes, he was the good brother, and if he didn't, he was the second-in-command. Yun Kai refused to believe her. He laughed bitterly at himself and said, "Just lie to me. Don't I know you? If your father took you back to Kunming tomorrow, you wouldn't even sleep to pack your luggage."

Yueming looked at him in a daze. She finally understood what he was doing. He was really afraid that she would abandon him.

Her arms wrapped around his neck again, Yueming snuggled softly in his arms and promised firmly, "I won't leave. Even if I leave, I will take you with me. I won't leave you alone."

Yun Kai still didn't believe it. He put his arm around her slender waist, closed his eyes and murmured, "Little liar!"
