Chapter 85

Chapter 85

Before Yueming could even wipe the water off her face, she heard a burst of unbridled laughter. She forced her eyes open and saw Yunkai standing in the water with his hands on his hips, laughing so hard that he was bent over backwards.

She calmly wiped her face and smoothed the damp bangs that clung to her forehead. She had spent the entire afternoon meticulously dressing up, looking so good she couldn't help but pause in front of the mirror to admire her. But then, his sudden spit of water ruined it all. She finally understood: the "pooh" in his telegram wasn't a phonetic word, but a verb. He was just waiting for her to come back and spit in her face!

Yueming narrowed his eyes and said grimly, "Did you learn this trick from Zhao Chang?"

Yunkai stood in the water, the water clinging to his thighs, his hands folded across his lean waist. He spoke arrogantly, "Two people need to be together to live happily. I came back to make you happy, but you ran away, showing no remorse at all. Is this how you treat your future?"

Yueming silently took off her lace-up high-heeled shoes, pointed at him with the toe of her shoe and asked: "Do you believe in shoes (evil)? If not, I will make you believe it tonight." It's okay if you don't have enough fighting power, the key to victory is to say harsh words in a unique way.

The little one was wielding a weapon and baring his teeth and claws! Yun Kai snorted and grabbed her wrist. Seeing the malicious smile on his lips, Yue Ming realized his intention and shouted, "This dress is silk, we can't..." Before she could finish her words, Yun Kai pulled her into the water.

Holding his neck tightly, Yueming, who was soaked all over, even wanted to die with him.

Before she could get angry and curse, Yun Kai let him go and turned to walk towards the waterfall. He stood under the rapids for a while, brushed all the scattered hair on his forehead back, leaned against a huge rock and stared straight at Yue Ming.

Standing in the water, Yueming hugged her soaking chest and stared blankly at the smooth, strong back and the slender waist and hips wrapped around Longji under the water curtain. Did he call her here just to watch him take a bath?

The moonlight was bright, and the shadows of the trees by the pond fell on his face and chest. The breeze blew, and the shadows flickered, making it difficult for her to see Yun Kai's expression. She could only vaguely hear over the sound of the running water: "Yueming, come here."

Women's natural vigilance made her afraid to follow his words. She bit her lip and asked, "Are you still angry that I went back to Kunming?"

Yun Kai stretched out his hand towards her: "Of course I am still angry, but anger is just anger, it doesn't mean I don't love you anymore, what are you afraid of?"

She couldn't say what she was afraid of. She turned her head to look at the green plants by the pond. A bunch of banana trees were in bloom, and a bunch of plump flowers were hanging among the leaves.

The soaked cheongsam clung to the girl's curves, and every rise and fall made Yunkai's heart beat faster. Every pore on his body screamed with desire for her. Mei Zihong's bare skin shone coldly in the moonlight, and she only showed him half of her cheeks, so red they looked as if she had been smeared with rouge.

He called out again in a hoarse voice, "Yueming, come here." His tone left no room for doubt.

The unmistakable lust in his voice frightened Yueming. They'd been accustomed to kissing and touching each other privately, but today he was clearly exploring newer, deeper realms. She turned and tried to climb ashore, grabbing hold of a rock by the pool. The moss on the rock was wet and slippery, and she, forgetting she was only wearing one shoe, couldn't even stand steady, slipping and falling into the water with a plop.

She tried hard to open her eyes, but all she saw was darkness. She was not afraid and she did not struggle. Her mind was full of the scene when Yun Kai threw her into the pond.

This time he was the one who pulled himself into the water, and he was the one who pulled himself out.

His solid chest pressed against her soft, slender form, his dark eyes gentle and affectionate. Lying on the hard, cold boulder, Yueming realized that he had lost his youthful immaturity. His dark eyebrows, thick eyes, and dashing demeanor had somehow become steadfast and profound. Though his actions today were anything but calm and profound, she knew this side of him was revealed for her. From now on, only she would witness the uninhibited and irreverent side of him he no longer wished to display to the world.

Yun Kai murmured softly in her ear: "Do you know that since ancient times, the clouds and the moon have always been the most compatible and have never been separated."

"Light clouds cover the moon, making the sky white; distant waters grow cooler as night falls."

"A green curtain covers a clump of brocade. Before the vase, a pale and deep crimson appears. Light clouds and moonlight are verdant."

He unbuttoned a pearl button with each sentence he recited. Yueming was apprehensive and curious about how he could recite so many poems. She tried to stop him, but she was no match for his nimble fingers.

"A beautiful bird sings among the branches, and the branches sway as it flies away.

In the night after, we will play with the clouds and moon, and look forward to waving our hands at the blue sky. "

By the time she finished chanting this, Yueming was completely stripped naked. Yunkai threw her cheongsam back, trying in vain to grab the hem of the plum-red dress, but he grabbed her and pinned her to the stone.

He slowly lowered his head and murmured softly, "Don't be afraid."

Her knuckles and palms had formed thin calluses from horseback riding, and they spread all over her body, igniting fire everywhere. Yueming choked with fear, the unfamiliar sensation in her body causing her to tremble uncontrollably. Her entire body trembled, and she felt her soul flying out of her skull.

The pond surrounded by trees should have been quiet and cool, but the startled birds flying up from the grass made the air ambiguous and hot.

He triumphantly enjoyed her clinging and dependence, watching her howl of pain slowly turn into a gentle melody, her face misty, her eyes blurry, and she slowly lost her soul.

The scent of heather wafted through the air, and Yunkai gasped for breath.

A pair of small hands touched his exposed shoulder blades, her eyes were full of water, and she said in a delicate voice that seemed to be both resentful and angry: "You are a bad person."

Yun Kai's breath was still a little rapid, and he laughed: "Before the rainy season comes, the bad guys want to take you to Siam, do you want to go?"

Speaking of Siam, Yueming thought of Burma, and then of her cousin. She turned her head away and said angrily, "No."

Yun Kai turned her face back, grasped her chin with his slender fingers and laughed softly: "What are you doing now?"

Yueming gave him a stern look and said, "Take your cousin with you. I won't join in the fun."

Yun Kai was startled at first, then recalled the recent rumors circulating in the mansion. This kind of thing was difficult to explain, and only by taking action could he prove his innocence.

The water rippled, and Yueming's moans, which seemed neither to cry nor to laugh, became more gentle. A touch of plum red and a touch of dark green drifted down the waterfall, tangling together in the pounding waves, floating up and down in a vortex.
