Chapter 58 Not a Good Person

Chapter 58 Not a Good Person

Yokohama in late April was slightly warmer than Sendai, especially at night. Yuzuru Hanyu sat on a swing in a deserted residential park, scraping his heels against the ground as he pushed the swing back and forth. His jacket sleeves were rolled up high, his elbows hooked on each rope, and he stared intently at his phone in both hands.

The video screen shifted, and the fluorescent light reflected on his face also shifted from time to time. If it weren't for the lateness of the night, there would be no one else in the small park. A man wearing a black tracksuit, a black hat, and a large mask, sitting there in the night, watching a video of a female dancer on his phone, definitely didn't look like a good person.

The music ends, and the picture freezes at the moment when Le raises his eyes. His half-smile seems to be hiding the secret deep in the sea.

"It's so late..." He turned off the screen of his mobile phone, jumped off the swing, climbed to the top of the slide in the middle of the sand pile, and looked at the path next to the small park from a higher position.

This was Le's only way home, and he'd already been sitting here for half an hour. It was almost 11 o'clock, and the dimly lit amusement park looked like a lonely island in the quiet night. Lying on the fence, Yuzuru Hanyu looked like a lonely sailor, waiting for the mermaid princess.

He hasn't come back yet... He leaned against the railing and clicked on the video in his hand again. Because it had been played repeatedly, the video loaded almost as fast as a local video, without the recurring loading circle on the Shinkansen. This time, the video was not even halfway through when a beautiful figure appeared on the path.

Yuzuru Hanyu happily slid down the slide, brushed the dust off his butt, tugged on his backpack's straps, and followed. Like a hunter who has spotted his prey, he cautiously followed Le, his steps unconsciously matching hers.

Her back looked thinner, the heavy bag she carried weighing down her shoulders. She resembled the girl he had seen in his dream. However, the girl in his dream had a light and energetic step, while Le's current steps looked a bit tired, which made Hanyu feel distressed. He couldn't help but quicken his pace, wanting to help her take the heavy bag.

Strangely, as his pace quickened, Le's pace also quickened. She fumbled in her bag as she walked, and finally seemed to pull out her phone, pressing a few buttons quickly. Just as she was about to put her hand to her ear, she lowered it, pressed the buttons again, and finally put the phone to her ear.

"Hey, honey, are you at the door yet? I'll be right back. Do you want to come downstairs and meet me?"

Her voice was deliberately loud, and Yuzuru Hanyu, following behind her, could hear it clearly. The word "dear" was so sticky that it was grating. He took a long step, wanting to get closer and listen carefully to who this "dear" was, but Le's pace was even faster, almost jogging.

"I'll be home soon, don't worry! I'm already running!"

On the other end of the phone, He Jiu had already realized something was wrong and had already turned around and ran towards Le's apartment. The noise of Le's running and her tense yet relaxed voice in the receiver made his mind uncontrollably think of various possibilities, until he suddenly heard her scream and the call was hung up.

The phone was called again, but was hung up again because it was not connected.

"Damn it!" He cursed and continued running towards Le's apartment.

Downstairs in the apartment building, Yuzuru Hanyu was holding Le's phone in one hand, his leg against the door, and with the other hand, muffling Le's screams from behind. The familiar smell and the energy stone bracelet on his wrist made her realize who was behind her, and the tension of resistance finally relaxed.

bite--

The elevator light in front of them rang, and before the door opened, Le made a quick decision, grabbing Yuzuru Hanyu's wrist and shoving him into the emergency stairwell. In her haste, she was so focused on not exposing Yuzuru Hanyu that she completely ignored his low mood. Only after she quickly opened the door and dragged him inside did she breathe a sigh of relief.

She flung the bag from her shoulder into the hallway, the bag landing with a thud that drowned out the sound of the door locking behind her. She took a deep breath and turned around.

"Why are you here... um!" The rest of the words were blocked in his mouth.

You know what big eyes mean!
