Chapter 65: Our Own People

Chapter 65: Our Own People

The noise outside the room made Le unable to lie still. He sat up from the bed quickly, tied up his messy hair with the hairpin on the bedside table, and pushed open the door.

"Xiaojie is here? Good morning~" She just walked out of the room and waved to Xiaojie who was sitting at the dining table.

"Good morning..." Xiaojie raised his hand, but before he could wave, he saw Yuzuru Hanyu had already stepped between them, grabbed Le's wrist, and shoved her into the bathroom. With his hand still raised awkwardly, he coughed lightly, changed the direction of his hand, and scratched his hair.

"What are you doing?"

Suddenly being shoved into the bathroom, Le looked bewildered, like a sleepy little animal. His question wasn't answered directly; he simply reached out and rubbed her head, then leaned over and gave her a resounding kiss on the cheek.

"You wash up first, I'll go get you some clothes." He then left and stuffed a simple set of home clothes into her pocket. "Come back out after you've changed. I'll go take care of the guests."

Le looked at the home clothes in her hand. The simple smile on the clothes revealed Yuzuru Hanyu's childish thoughts, which made her feel a little amused and helpless.

"You want to make breakfast? I don't want fried dumplings for breakfast..."

"You're so noisy!"

He Jiu sat on the sofa, rubbing his temples with his eyes closed. There were only two people in the kitchen, but it was very noisy, and one of the noisy people was actually complaining about the other.

"Why bother? I've finished two bottles of red wine, I'd be surprised if I didn't have a hangover." Le said leisurely, holding a mug. She sat cross-legged in front of the coffee table, placed the cup on the table with a clang, and pushed it towards him, indicating that it was for him. "Can you really not leave me any?"

He took the cup and took a big sip. The sweet honey lemonade moistened his dry throat and was very comfortable. He looked up and noticed Le's clothes, and squinted his eyes.

"So many Poosangs, isn't that too childish?"

"What do you care..." Le rolled his eyes at him.

"If you don't go to the kitchen to help, aren't you afraid that the big star will blow up the kitchen?"

"It's not as exaggerated as you say. He can cook simple dishes. He even made this honey lemonade~" Although he only came to help out of curiosity, Le shrugged and said it nonchalantly.

"Cough cough cough——" He didn't spit it out, which was considered worthy of the glass of water.

The interaction in the living room captivated Morimoto Kosuke, who was just watching. He watched the two people in the living room from the kitchen, then turned to look at Yuzuru Hanyu beside him. The lively conversation in the living room didn't bother him, as he remained absorbed in frying eggs. Hanyu Yuzuru was as calm as if he were on the court today. Just when he was happy, he'd even suggested she bring a glass of honey water to someone with a hangover.

I don’t understand. It’s really hard to understand.

This incomprehensible emotion turned directly into embarrassment during breakfast.

There is a small square table in the dining area of this room. Today is the first time that people are sitting at all four sides. I didn’t expect such a combination and such silence.

Morimoto Kosuke sat across from Raku, observing the bizarre scene before him. To his left, his childhood friend, who had just met him, ate in silence. To his right, Hanyu Yuzuru, who was also surprisingly quiet, ate. And in the middle, Raku seemed completely unfazed. She tilted her head, studying the documents beside her, while slowly scooping up the yogurt and nuts from the bowl and bringing them to her mouth, chewing them slowly.

The silence had lasted from the moment they exchanged the basic greetings. Aside from the clatter of chewing, the silence was truly awkward. Morimoto Kosuke was itching to pull out his phone and play some music to break the silence.

"Right!" Le was the first to break the deadlock. "When you came here, you seemed to be talking about something at the door. Who were you looking for?"

"Ah, yes!" He also remembered this matter. Just as he was about to speak, he glanced at He Jiu who was sitting next to him, felt something was wrong, and retracted his excited body. "It's okay, we can talk about it privately later, privately."

"It doesn't matter, we are all family. Are you attracted to a girl in our group?" She winked at him gossipingly.

One of us? Xiaojie raised his eyebrows uncontrollably when he heard that. He glanced at Yuzuru Hanyu without disguising his feelings.

No reaction, expression normal. But for now, let's change the subject... Can someone help change the subject!!!

Xiaojie called out frantically in his heart, and Hejiu actually spoke for some unknown reason, which made him want to remove the label of inconsiderateness from his childhood sweetheart in his heart.

"You're a sports therapist, right?"

"Uh-huh."

"That's perfect, Le. Didn't you say your ankle hurt yesterday? Let him help take a look." He Jiu picked up the coffee in front of him and took a sip. His tone was flat. He deliberately looked away and didn't notice Le's glare.

"Does your ankle hurt?" Yuzuru Hanyu, who had been eating quietly, frowned and joined in.

"It's just a little discomfort, nothing serious. It doesn't hurt when I walk, but my ankle hurts a little when I stretch my foot. I know it well." Le explained briefly, met Hanyu Yuzuru's eyes, and immediately changed the subject, saying to Xiaojie sitting across from him: "But since Xiaojie is here, it's a hassle~ It saves me trouble~ Hehe~"

Her smile was a little awkward, and it was obvious that she was trying to hide her guilty conscience. Her face was filled with distress signals, and Xiaojie couldn't ignore it.

"Yes, it's OK. Yuzuru, you don't have to be too nervous. Le said it won't hurt to walk. She's retired now and she's no longer an actress, so there's no need for her to stretch her legs while dancing. I think she'll be fine after a while, so there's no need for you to worry so much."

Xiaojie's persuasion made Yuzuru Hanyu pause with his hand holding the toast. He was silent for a long time before he hummed.

"You're a sports therapist..." He Jiu said leisurely, leaning back in his chair, sipping coffee from his mug in one hand. The words hung there in a mysterious way, and Xiao Jie quickly realized that he had said something inappropriate just to break the previous situation.

"No, I mean, Le isn't in such a rush to go on stage right now, so he can have some time to recover. I'm not..."

"It's okay. We know." Le interrupted him with a smile, "You shouldn't be nervous. I'll help you get in touch with the girl you like. We can chat privately later~"

"I'm done eating. I'm going to study today's topic. Xiaojie, I'll leave Le's ankle to you." Yuzuru Hanyu stood up and put the dishes into the sink. He came over and patted Xiaojie on the shoulder before going into the room.

The table became quiet again. Xiaojie and Le looked at each other and sighed at the same time.

"Retirement is something athletes of his age absolutely have to consider. The more cautious you are, the more likely it is to go wrong." He Jiu directly brought up the subject, earning a hard slap on the back of the head from Le. The passive impact brought back the dizziness from his hangover. He held his head and frowned at Le. "Am I wrong? 27 is considered a veteran among athletes, right? He hasn't considered retirement?"

"He needs time too. Also, we agreed not to mention the ankle incident, you traitor!" Le said the word "traitor" with gritted teeth.

Xiaojie had never seen such a vicious look on his face. In his impression, Le was more calm and gentle, and his occasional mischievousness was only when he was with Hanyu Yuzuru. He had never seen him playfully fighting like a high school student like this.

"Yes, yes, go and coax your big star. I'm leaving now. Sports therapist, do you want to stay here and be a light bulb? Little girl, maybe I know more than Le about what you want to inquire about." He put his arm around Xiaojie's neck and helped him stand up. "I'll help you get rid of the light bulb as an apology. Now I'm leaving."

As the door closed, the house returned to silence. Le was still sitting at the dining table, her yogurt still half-finished. The nuts soaked in it were still softened, losing their crispness and her appetite. She pursed her lips, slapped the table with a resolute gesture, and stood up. She quickly cleared the dishes from the table into the sink and tiptoed to open the door.

Yuzuru Hanyu was leaning against the bed, lost in thought, holding a book. The sound of the door opening made him raise his eyes. He didn't move even as Le came over to sit next to him, looking apologetic.

"They're all gone."

"Did your ankle hurt last night and you woke up?" He wasn't going to answer her. Last night, he was half asleep when he felt some movement next to him. He opened his eyes halfway and found Le sitting up, rubbing his ankle and calf. "When I asked you last night, you said you had a nightmare about your injured foot, so you woke up to check it out."

He held her in his arms and coaxed her for a long time, and then they both fell asleep.

"I'm not lying. I really was dreaming." She sat cross-legged in front of him. "I was practicing dancing yesterday when I suddenly got a cramp. I felt like my ankle couldn't be twisted back, and no matter how I moved, it hurt. And stretching my foot hurt. Maybe because I was thinking about it, I dreamed last night that I went to the doctor."

The doctor told her she would never dance again, and she woke up with a start. She stared at the ceiling, then quietly turned her ankle under the covers. The pain in her ankle made her wonder if the dream was real. Only when she sat up and touched her feet did she feel it was real.

She frankly shared her dreams and feelings with Yuzuru Hanyu, her calm recounting bringing a blush to his face. With a mixture of helplessness and amusement, she pinched his nose. "What's wrong? There's nothing to cry about. I told you this morning when I was exercising, it just clicked and healed. Now it doesn't hurt at all, see." She stretched out her feet, resting them on his lap and playfully twisting her ankles to prove it to him.

He still didn't say anything, but just put down the book in his hand and opened his arms slightly.

She slipped in, hugged his waist, rested her face on his chest, and listened to his heartbeat.

"I love dancing, just like you love skating. I will protect myself and try to prolong the days I can spend dancing. You should trust me, too. Just like I believe you will protect yourself. Got it?"

"Yeah." He stroked her hair gently, "But next time, tell me if you get hurt, okay?"

"Okay. You too."

"Um."
