"Parents, please gather at the gymnasium."
"To reiterate, all parents, please gather at the gymnasium."
An announcement came over the loudspeaker, and all the parents in the class looked up.
The homeroom teacher on the podium seemed to have anticipated this. He walked over to the front door of the classroom, met everyone's gaze, and said with a gentle smile, "Dear parents, please follow me."
Since the teacher said so, the parents didn't hesitate and got up to walk towards the door.
"Eileen, I'm going too."
A furry wolf-man dressed in a suit stood up and habitually patted his chest, even though there wasn't a speck of dust on it.
"Okay, Lykan, take care on your journey."
The girl, whom the Wolfish called "Ellen," was slumped over the table, weakly raising one hand in response.
“Even when you’re not working, you should still be mindful of etiquette, Ellen.”
After saying that, Lekahn slowly left, following the many parents out of the classroom. Under the teacher's direction, they lined up in a long queue and left in an orderly fashion.
"Okay, okay, this is so annoying."
Eileen muttered to herself as she reached into the drawer and rummaged around.
No matter how she touched it, her slender fingers searched through all the books in the drawer, but she still couldn't find what she wanted.
Eileen immediately sensed something was wrong. She pushed off the ground with her toes, pulling her chair back a short distance, and quickly looked down into her drawer.
But no matter how I looked, I still couldn't find what I was looking for.
"If you're looking for your lollipop, please look down. You knocked it to the ground ten minutes ago."
Suddenly, a lazy voice rang in Ellen's ears.
She looked over at the sound and saw her deskmate, a boy with a handsome, even somewhat effeminate face who often wore dark clothes, which made his complexion appear slightly pale.
There was an umbrella hanging next to the boy's desk, with the three characters "Kunmu Tu" engraved on the handle.
He disliked socializing so much that Eileen knew nothing about him except that his name was Fagga and that he was an orphan.
"Thanks."
Eileen politely thanked them, bent down to pick up the lollipop, peeled off the coating, and put it in her mouth.
Phew! I finally got to eat some candy! I couldn't even get candy at the parent-teacher conference, I was almost fainting!
As Eileen thought this, she stretched comfortably.
Without noticing, Ellen glanced sideways and noticed that Fagga was staring intently at the job postings in the newspaper.
So, Eileen asked curiously, "Are you looking for a job?"
"Um."
Fagar responded with a sound of agreement, then sighed softly, “The shop where I used to work was emptied a week ago, and the whole street was affected.”
My boss has disappeared, and he's probably on his way to being reborn. But I don't want to be reborn, so I need to find a new job.
"Oh, I didn't realize you had such a good sense of humor. I thought you were a quiet, taciturn person."
Eileen slumped back onto the table, resting her head on her side and staring blankly at Fagga.
The lollipop was swirled around in my mouth by my tongue, occasionally making a soft popping sound as it collided with my teeth.
"Thank you for the compliment."
Fagga put down the newspaper filled with job postings and said calmly:
"You're quite the comedian too. I'm curious, what species does a Wolf-Syman need to mate with to produce a Shark-Syman?"
After saying that, Fagar slowly shifted his gaze, glancing with a hint of curiosity at Ellento's long shark tail behind him.
"It's none of your business."
Eileen muttered to herself, then turned her gaze away in a huff, a faint sense of fatigue suddenly washing over her.
Tsk!
Eileen clicked her tongue in surprise, complaining inwardly, "One lollipop is definitely not enough. I should have brought more."
It's okay, I should be able to make it home from school today.
Eileen comforted herself with these words and slowly closed her eyes.
Take a nap and save some energy.
In a daze, she seemed to hear Fagga talking to himself beside her.
"I really don't want to go to school. Can't you let me go to work sooner?"
Pshaw, does anyone actually enjoy working?
A smile played on Eileen's lips as she drifted off to sleep.
boom!
Suddenly a loud bang startled Eileen, who was already lightly sleepy. She jerked her head up and sprang up from her spot as if she had been electrocuted.
But no one was surprised by her unusual behavior, because the other students in the class were even more outrageous than her.
Many people are so terrified that they are at a loss, like frightened birds.
Whoosh!
