Fagar tugged at Ruby's sleeve, pulled her aside, squatted down to help up the fallen monster number two, and said without even looking at Ruby, "Did you upset Ellen again?"
What does "again" mean?
Ruby was displeased upon hearing this, puffed out her cheeks, put her hands on her hips, and said, "I'm very well-behaved, okay? I was just trying to set you two up!"
Upon hearing this, Fagar paused, glanced at Ellen, and saw that her face was still flushed, her lower lip was tightly bitten, and her eyes were darting to the side. She didn't dare to look at Fagar at all.
"That looks like you deserve it."
Fagga lowered his head again, grabbed the arm of the second demon, and hoisted it onto his shoulder.
Good stuff, high-tech.
Take it back and study it!
"Hey, what is this? No, Fagga, you're being unfair!"
Seeing that Fagga had somehow managed to pull out this thing, Ruby was immediately curious, and all her previous grievances and sadness disappeared.
It turned into big, bright eyes and looked up and down, even poking at her with its finger.
But when Fagga turned his gaze over, Ruby immediately remembered that she should still be angry, and she immediately changed her expression to one of indignation, accusing Fagga of favoritism.
However, Fagga rolled his eyes and casually remarked, "Is your heart located in the exact center?"
"Favoritism is normal for people."
Upon hearing this, Ruby froze on the spot, blinking her eyes in confusion for a long time before finally emerging from Fagga's logical trap. She quickly ran a few steps to catch up, shouting:
"Hey, who's talking to you about biological favoritism!"
However, this time no one paid any attention to her.
Even Ruby herself was stunned and stood still.
Because she saw, right in front of her, that Fagga had dropped the demon corpse from his shoulder, wrapped his arms around Elaine's waist and back, and gently embraced her.
Ellen froze, dumbfounded, holding Fagga's coat between the two of them, her mind blank from the sudden tenderness.
The sun is now setting, old and weary. Having witnessed another day of petty squabbles, it has finally chosen to shed its sharpness and gently look down upon the earth, witnessing poetry and love along with the gentle breeze.
At some point, Ruby took out her phone, turned off the flash, took several photos, and then switched to video mode.
I was completely focused; I've never held my phone so steadily in my entire life.
Watching Fagga whispering in Elaine's ear not far away, Ruby muttered, "I'll beat you both until you're bankrupt from this video and these photos!"
"If I can eat Ai Lian out of house and home with hot pot once, I refuse to believe that eating it every day will make her poor! I'll make sure that Little Fish can't even afford her dowry!"
"Oh no, did this line get recorded?"
After talking for a while, Ruby finally realized what was happening and quickly checked.
If the video has flaws, we'll have to sell dozens less hot pot meals!
Meanwhile, on the other side.
Fagia whispered, "Did that old lady say something strange to you?"
"Um."
Eileen hummed softly, so softly that it was almost inaudible.
She knew who "Auntie" was; that girl with the flirtatious tongue, Fagga called her Auntie, and she turned around and recognized Fagga as her nephew.
"That guy speaks very boldly, without considering whether people can accept it."
"Yes, I know."
Ellen gently bit her lower lip, pressing her forehead against Faga's chest, feeling Faga's heartbeat while listening to the wind beside her ear.
The wind whistles like a flute, each note sending chills down one's spine.
The more nervous Ellen became, the more chaotic her mind became. She knew exactly what she wanted to ask, but every time the words reached her lips, she would back down.
Dilemmas and fears are like tangled balls of yarn; the more you struggle, the more you become bound within them.
The once calm and brave dried fish now lacks both the composure to untangle the tangled yarn and the courage to cut through the mess.
"but..."
However, just like the two ends of a narrow bridge, if they want to come together, someone always has to take the first step.
