Chapter 158 The Will of the People (2/2)

ha?

Fagar was stunned when he heard this, and Billy next to him was equally astonished.

They acknowledged Fagga's vampire identity, but did not allow him to rejoin his race.

What does this mean?

Fagga frowned: "Why?"

Although Fagar didn't want to return to that damned vampire clan, he was still very curious about the reasons behind it.

"Because of civilization!"

Kovi spoke slowly and deliberately, his expression unusually serious:

"The vampire race has its own civilization, while you grew up in a human environment. There are significant differences in ideology between you and a proper vampire."

"Therefore, even if you are a pure-blooded vampire, or even have a higher bloodline, we do not recognize you as a member of the vampire race."

"The elders define you as: [a human with vampire blood]."

...

Am I...human?

The airship had landed, and Fagar was back with everyone.

But he still stared at his palm, pondering the identity definition the vampire clan had given him.

"I'm telling you, you're already so tired that I have to carry you, can you please stop thinking about weird things and wasting your brainpower?"

Eileen said irritably, then weighed the fagar behind her and found a more comfortable angle.

Soon after, Eileen muttered again:

"Besides, what's wrong with humans having vampire blood? I'm a human with shark blood!"

"That's true."

Fagar couldn't help but smile, then nestled comfortably against Ellen's back.

I've figured it out. From now on, I'll be a vampire!

But Eileen suddenly blushed because Fagga's breath was all over her white neck.

Warm, humid, and conducive to daydreaming.

The temperature on Ellen's pretty face rose rapidly, and her tail thrashed wildly at the ground, creating several deep craters.

"Hey, wait a minute, don't fall asleep yet!"

"At least turn your head around, your breath is blowing all over my neck!"

"Hey, Fagha, Fagha!!!"

Lycahn glanced at the commotion coming from Elaine's side and couldn't help but sigh.

Never mind, let's put it aside for now.

Then he turned to Billy, the only two conscious survivors on the airship, and said to him:

"The police will be coming to investigate, and I'm sure you already have a plan in mind."

"Yes, I'll say I did it all!"

Billy gave a thumbs-up to show he knew the market.

"Yeah, very good."

Lykan nodded slightly, then greeted Lina and Corinne.

Lina and Corinne came over immediately after seeing this, while Lycaen turned around and walked away.

"In that case, Victoria Housekeeping looks forward to the next collaboration with Rabbit House."

"Colleen, Lina... and Ellen, stop playing and get ready to go home."

Twenty minutes later, Billy scratched his head, looked at the Victoria Housekeeping vehicles that had long since disappeared into the distance, then looked down at the people lying on the rooftop of the Ballai Building, and couldn't help but sigh:

"The effects of this smoky drug are really strong. I wonder when Nicole and the others will wake up."

He shook his head and was about to stand up.

Suddenly, he seemed to hear a huge roar.

It seems... it's coming from behind?

Oh no, an airship!

...

"Haha, that stupid robot and that injured vampire didn't even notice that I woke up ahead of time!"

Inside the airship's cockpit, a short, stocky man was laughing proudly and smugly while deftly maneuvering the airship.

His arrogant and conceited remarks would have made him easily recognizable as Perlman if anyone else had been there!

Suddenly, he looked down through the windshield and saw Billy, wearing a red jacket, running desperately toward the airship.

"Hmph, idiot! Flying is faster than running, right? You think you can stop me?"

Perlman curled his lip in disdain and then pulled the lever.

Whew~

Instantly, a large cloud of scorching air burst forth from around the airship, forcing Billy to stop and reach out to block it.

When he opened his eyes again, the airship had already flown far away, and Billy could no longer stop it!

"Ha ha ha ha!"

Perlman burst into laughter, a joyful atmosphere filling every cell of his body.

"I really am a genius! Even TOPS Finance can't kill me!"

"Just wait, one day I will definitely get my revenge!"

"Really?"

Suddenly, a faint voice drifted over.

"certainly."

Perlman was oblivious, still lost in his own fantasy:

"Once I escape this time, I'll use the intelligence I have to launch a media offensive. Hmph! TOPS Financial Alliance wants to kill me? Sooner or later, I'll make their CEO kneel down and talk to me!"

"Wait, who are you...?"

Perlman finally noticed that there had been someone standing behind him all along.

But just as he was about to turn his head, he suddenly felt a tremendous force coming from his brain, and someone pressed his palm against the control panel.

"What...what are you going to do?"

"It's nothing, don't worry, I'm not going to kill you."

Covey stood behind Perlman, watching him coldly.

At this moment, the veins on his hands were bulging, and his strength was so great that Perlman could not resist at all and was pressed firmly onto the table.

"How...are you so strong?"

Perlman had already woken up.

It was only because he woke up that he realized how humble Kovi had been in front of Fagga at the beginning.

"As a half-vampire, I simply lack the powers that pure-blooded vampires are born with. But that doesn't mean I'm not qualified to acquire other powers through hard work."

Covey stared coldly at Perlman; up to this point, everything was still within the vampire clan's plan.

Soon after, he said:

"Don't worry, in a sense, I still have to help you escape from TOPS Financial Alliance, so I'll consider you my companion for the foreseeable future."

"Oh? You're asking why?"

"Of course, it's for the supreme ambitions of the vampire race!"
