Chapter 199 The Sons of Calydon Hold a Meeting (1/2)

"No... I don't know him. I just thought the child looked familiar and assumed he was someone I knew from before."

Bell's eyes darted around, trying her best to avoid Wright's gaze.

Although she didn't know why Ke Lin pretended not to know her,

"Yeah?"

Wright was still somewhat skeptical. He rested his chin on his hand, scrutinized Colleen in front of him, and asked, "But why do you two seem so nervous?"

"Hmm, the two of you?"

"That...that's because..."

Ke Lin and Ling immediately broke out in a cold sweat. One twisted her fingers, while the other turned her head to look to the side. Both of them were covered in cold sweat, and their brains were working at high speed.

Finally, unable to bear the torment any longer, Kelin came up with a desperate, half-hearted solution and shouted at the top of her lungs:

"Because Uncle Wright is very handsome!"

"Huh?" Ling exclaimed in surprise.

Wright was even worse off; his sunglasses slipped off his head, revealing a strange face with blank, childlike eyes.

That guy...is very handsome...

Was I praised or scolded...?

However, Wright soon realized that if he continued to look surprised, he would lose even his "cool" advantage.

So he quickly pushed his sunglasses back up on his nose, took a step to the side and stood with his back to the wind, letting the wind blow his red scarf high, which actually made him look quite dashing.

Wright coughed twice, then waved and walked away: "Good taste, just remember to call me 'brother' next time."

Colleen nodded her little head like a quail and said earnestly, "Colleen will remember, Uncle Wright."

puff!

Wright felt a sudden pang of pain in his heart and almost tripped and fell to the ground. Even as he walked past Lucy, he couldn't help but clutch his heart.

Lucy happened to see this at that moment, so she ignored the problem children and turned to ask, "Wright, what's going on?"

"It's nothing, it's just..."

Wright initially intended to walk away, but upon reflection, he realized Lucy wasn't much taller than Corinne, and they were probably around the same age, perhaps even sharing similar views.

"Lucy, do I look old?"

But to everyone's surprise, Lucy frowned the moment Wright finished speaking and said impatiently, "Huh? You're having an episode too?"

"Go away, get out of here, don't spoil my mood... Wait, come back here, we still have something to discuss."

Even Caesar had to endure being reprimanded by the organization's head steward.

What could Wright do but sigh and obediently go back as Lucy told him?

Miss Lucy's orders must be obeyed.

"And another thing, the new guy over there, you come along too. You're one of my key talents, how can you not listen to the meeting? You're someone I went through a lot of trouble to recruit from the city... cough, recruit."

Lucy almost let it slip; her face flushed slightly, and she coughed twice as if to make it clear.

"Oh. Here it comes."

Hearing someone call her, Kelin quickly came over.

Seeing Corinne like this, Caesar couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, bend down, and whisper in Lucy's ear:

"This height... Lucy, did you kidnap this child?"

"Yes, she's not very tall... so why are you bending over to talk to me!"
