Chapter 2 Can't You Be a Little More Aggressive? (2/2)

Fagar withdrew his gaze, ignoring everyone's sighs and despair, and said coldly, "My opinion is that we should stay here and wait for rescue."

Tick-tock! Tick-tock!

Time slipped away like raindrops, and fear drove people to restlessness and unease, eroding their reason. Unbeknownst to them, they began to gravitate towards Fagga's conservative plan.

However, another rational person questioned the conservatism.

Ellen took a step forward and pulled Fagga's arm to the side.

She realized that only the two of them could decide the course of events for everyone. Only the two of them possessed the strength to protect others.

So, Eileen put one hand on her hip and said, "But what if some classmates don't have enough resilience to hold out until rescue arrives? Besides, staying in one place might lead to..."

"When it's raining, which gets you more wet: running fast or walking slowly?" Fagar suddenly asked a strange question, interrupting Ellen's words.

Ellen's expression froze for a moment. Although she didn't know what Fagga was talking about, she still replied, "One deliberately ran into the rain, and the other was soaked for a long time. Who got soaked more depends on how long the rain lasts... and how far they are from home."

As soon as she finished speaking, Ellen's expression suddenly changed drastically. She suddenly realized and understood Fagga's logic.

Unlike their usual routine of having a clear route home, they now know absolutely nothing about the structure of this empty space.

Wandering aimlessly, not even knowing if you'll make it out, but of course, if you do, everyone's happy.

But he'll definitely get a beating, and who knows, he might get hit on the temple at any moment.

So let's just stay here.

Fagar glanced over and saw Ellen nod slightly, knowing that Ellen was almost convinced.

Then Fagga added, "Unfortunately, we don't have a rope maker, otherwise..."

“Yes!”

Suddenly, a familiar voice drifted into the ears of both Fagga and Ellen at the same time.

Both of them simultaneously widened their pupils slightly and suddenly turned their heads.

Immediately, Fagga and Ellen realized that Ruby had somehow gotten behind them and was listening to their conversation.

Ruby was a little embarrassed, her face flushed slightly, and she tapped her two index fingers together in front of her chest: "Um... I'm here as an apprentice rope maker."

Eileen is like this; in situations like this, Fagga only needs to say "oh." But as Ruby's friend, Eileen has much more to consider.

Eileen looked aggrieved, all her former arrogance and languid demeanor gone. She blinked her eyes, looking somewhat dazed, and murmured, "Ruby, you're an apprentice rope maker, why didn't I know?"

Ruby quickly came over to comfort Eileen: "Everyone has secrets, you know. I knew Eileen could fight, but this is the first time I've known she's this good... Besides, the rope maker is breaking the law."

"That's right."

Eileen gave a blank "oh" before realizing that rope making was an illegal profession.

Given this, Ruby's concealment is understandable.

rustling!

Suddenly, Eileen heard an unusual sound beside her and instinctively turned her head.

Seeing that Fagga had just left his spot, he suddenly shouted at the students in the hallway, "The plan has changed. Prepare to break out!"

The class monitor's face lit up with joy. This meant there was hope for the students in the class with poor resistance!

"Hey!"

Eileen was immediately confused and hurriedly said, "But you just said something about getting rained on?"

Fagga turned around, his lips slightly parted. For some reason, Eileen immediately noticed his unusually sharp canine teeth as she listened to Fagga speak:

"Can you fight the same way if you have a rope maker and you don't?"

"Are you just going to sit here and wait for rescue, watching your classmates turn into corpses? Can't you be a little more radical?!"
