Chapter 200 First Encounter with Pompey (1/2)

There are two sides to the story.

Just as the son of Caludon was listening to the enthusiastic Lucy arrange everything in an orderly manner, Fagga finally drove to another different town.

Wow~ Is this really a city that exists on the outer ring road?

Ruby pressed herself against the window, the magnificent sight before her beyond her comprehension.

At the end of the road connecting to a soft sandy area, a neat asphalt road suddenly appeared in their view. After traveling at a speed of 120 miles per hour for ten minutes, they finally saw a magnificent town.

No, it shouldn't be called a town, but rather a flower struggling to grow upwards in the desert, just one step away from finally growing into a delicate "city"!

Looking around, this "half-city" that is "above town, not yet a city" has no city walls, and pedestrians weave through both ends of the streets.

It's midday now, lunchtime.

They emerged from the high-rise buildings and settled in various street restaurants. Some went alone, but most went in groups, chatting and laughing as they enjoyed their rare lunch break.

Fagar drove leisurely, no longer displaying the same exhilarating speed he had at 120 mph on the road. Instead, he shifted into first gear and crawled along at a snail's pace of 20 mph.

It wasn't that the SUV ran out of gas, but rather that Fagar glanced out of the corner of his eye as he entered the town and suddenly noticed that the speed limit within the town was 20.

When he first saw it, Fagar was stunned, especially when he saw that no matter how fast the other gangs' cars were before entering the city, they had to obediently tuck their tails between their legs and reduce their speed to 20 miles per hour after entering the city. Fagar was even more surprised.

There's still order on the outer ring road?

It's not a tacit agreement between gangs, but in reality, anyone with enough strength can step on someone's toes.

Instead, it is an order specifically designed by an absolute ruler, one that is absolutely authoritative, absolutely transparent, and absolutely effective!

"Isn't that amazing? This is what Pompey the Triumphed One accomplished after being the outer ring overlord for several years."

The squad leader rested his chin on his hand and looked out the window.

Outside the window, many children were laughing and playing. Some children clung tightly to the clothes of the adults next to them, hugged their legs, and cried and screamed, demanding to buy the toys in the shop window. But the adults were unwilling to let them, and dragged the children forward.

It's a happy kind of trouble.

Fagha was moved.

While most people in the city remained indifferent, some struggled desperately in the harsh desert, allowing hope to blossom.

only...

Fagga narrowed his eyes slightly, seemingly lost in thought.

Suddenly, he heard the squad leader's voice.

The squad leader seemed to have spotted something, his eyes lighting up slightly. He called out, "There's a parking space up ahead, Fagga, go park there. I see Pompey's car!"

oh?

Phaga was surprised and looked ahead.

On the street where the squad leader pointed, there was a loud and flashy motorcycle with a huge engine. It was hard to imagine how loud it would be when it started.

Soon, Fagar found a parking space, not too far from Pompeii's motorcycle.

Unexpectedly, just as the off-road vehicle was turned off, two burly men in awkward uniforms walked over.

Fagar frowned, opened the door and got out of the car, while simultaneously opening the rear door of the SUV.

With a quick movement, Eileen landed on the ground, placing her hand on the car door, leaving a small gap that Ruby couldn't squeeze through.

"Eileen, take your hand away."

The naive Ruby, without any wariness of strangers, let Ellen open the door.

Eileen pretended not to hear and continued to watch the two burly men who had suddenly appeared with vigilance.

The squad leader opened the door and got out of the car, walking towards the two burly men as if nothing had happened. Then, as if he heard a commotion behind him, he turned around and looked back.

At first glance, the squad leader was somewhat puzzled, raising an eyebrow slightly; but after glancing at the two burly men in suits beside him, he immediately understood, waving his hand and saying:

"It's alright, don't be so nervous. These two are Boss Pompey's bodyguards."

After saying that, the squad leader glanced back at the two burly men in front of him and chatted casually, "Amur, Kui, how's the Overlord doing lately?"

"Young Master, you've finally arrived! I've been so worried about you these past few days, my boss's even grown some gray hair. But who are these gentlemen..."

The burly man named Amur immediately displayed a completely different enthusiasm than he had shown outside when he saw the squad leader get off the bus, only showing a slight doubt when he saw Fagga and his group walking towards them.
