Chapter 240 Military Minister? You idiot! (2/2)

Caesar widened her innocent, somewhat naive eyes again, then a smile played on his lips. He placed his hands on his hips, confidently tilted his chin up, and slowly closed his eyes as the waves before him rose and fell…

That's just too much confidence!

Lucy pouted, waved her hand helplessly, and said coquettishly, "...Fine, I can't be bothered with you!"

"hey-hey!"

Seeing this, Caesar immediately knew he had gotten away with it, so he went behind Lucy and put his arm around her shoulder:

"Oh, Lucy, don't be so angry! This guy is already the strongest. Who else could he be but the Minister of War? Even if Wright came, he might not be able to beat him!"

Caesar closed one eye and playfully stuck out his tongue like Bernice, but instead of Bernice's charm and madness, he looked rather silly.

Seeing this, Lucy shook her head and silently pried Caesar's hand off her.

"It's better for a notorious idiot to keep quiet. If Wright hadn't been unable to withstand the explosion, I would have really sent him over... But as things stand now, he's practically the Minister of the Army."

"Who's the idiot! Lucy, even if you become the overlord, you're still a member of the Sons of Calydon. Call me boss!"

Lucy didn't answer, but her eyes flickered slightly as she fixed her gaze on the military minister's left arm, letting out a soft "Huh? Is this a technological creation of the rebels?"

Lucy took it off the military minister and examined it carefully for a moment. Suddenly, she noticed that there was an LCD screen on its back, which was about the size and shape of a finger.

So Lucy tentatively picked up one of the military minister's fingers and poked it at the protective gear.

Suddenly, a strange noise came from inside the protective gear, and a clicking mechanical sound came from within.

Caesar's eyes flickered slightly. Without hesitation, he knocked off her protective gear with a palm strike and raised his small round shield to block Lucy.

"Lucy, watch out!"

Lucy was nervous and cautiously peeked behind Caesar.

Suddenly, the protective gear sprouted sharp edges, stretched outwards, and split into two closable parts. Patterns appeared out of thin air on its outer shell, revealing its rugged nature...

Soon, it turned into a coffin.

It lay quietly in the sandpit, perfectly still.

Lucy: "Uh..."

Lucy: "At least we don't have to figure out how to get this pig's head back. Caesar, bring the motorcycle over here, there's a rope on it."

"Okay!"

Caesar quickly pushed the motorcycle over, then stuffed the general's minister face down into the coffin.

While Lucy was tying the ropes, Caesar plopped down on the motorcycle. As Lucy clapped her hands to finish and stood up, Caesar casually glanced back, pointing his thumb to the seat behind him:

"Young Miss, get in the car!"

"Tsk, don't think you look cool like that!"

Lucy blushed slightly and sat down, wrapping her arms around Caesar's waist.

Caesar laughed heartily, then stepped on the gas and sped away.

Under the rising sun, a carload of people sped towards the sun, dragging a coffin behind them.

As if remembering something, Caesar suddenly asked, "Hey, Lucy, what did Wright do?"

"Him?"

Lucy gripped her side ponytail tightly to keep it from flying, and replied, "I sent him to chase after the remnants of the rebel army."

"Just him alone?" Caesar was somewhat surprised and instinctively wanted to turn around to look.

I thought to myself, no matter how much I trust Wright, I can't let him go alone, can I?

What if the rebels panic and run into the cave? Should Wright chase them or not?

"Of course not, how could I let Wright go alone?"

Lucy was somewhat annoyed by Caesar's slander of her intelligence, but then said with great confidence:

“An investigator approached me and volunteered, so I arranged for her to go with Wright!”

"I never expected that an investigator would come to our Wildfire Town for tourism, and their success rate for commissions is 100%! They're definitely a rising star!"

Caesar exclaimed in surprise, "There are people like this? What's her name?"

"Hmm..." Lucy looked up at the sky, thinking carefully: "It seems to be called Ruby, and it has a black and white doll with it. It should be the latest research product in the city, Bomb. The concentration of ether on its body is very high!"
