Time passed quietly, flowing away as the flame in Fagga's hand flickered.
After the meal, he and Ellen went outside the tent, found a sand dune to sit on, and silently watched the logistics staff below who were still busy with their feet touching the ground.
Ellen remained silent, quietly leaning on Fagga's shoulder as they watched the crowded throng, which from a distance looked like ants moving about.
The white clouds were pushed away by the breeze, and the annoying sun finally broke free of its cage, immediately displaying its brilliance, as if it wanted to use all its strength to scorch the earth.
Eileen let out a long sigh of relief, feeling as light as if she had finally found an excuse.
He quickly and subtly sat up from Faga's shoulder, then suddenly pressed Faga into his lap with his right hand, letting Faga's head rest on his thigh.
"Ai...Ailian?"
Fagga was somewhat surprised, wondering why Ellen would suddenly give him a lap pillow.
"No...it's nothing, it's just that the sun is a bit strong, and I was worried you'd get sunburned."
Eileen's cheeks were slightly flushed, and she mumbled as she spoke.
After a while, she seemed to have finally made up her mind, and her tone was more serious than ever before: "Faga."
"Um."
"We're going to the battlefield soon. You... you'll be leading the charge, right?"
Upon hearing this question, Fagga couldn't help but chuckle.
He finally understood what Ellen wanted to say. He turned his head and looked up, and suddenly felt that Ellen, who was worried about him, was both silly and cute. He couldn't help but reach out and gently stroke Ellen's face.
"Stop messing around, I'm talking to you about serious business!"
Eileen was a little angry, her lips puffed out slightly, but she didn't grab Faga's hand. Instead, as if afraid of being taken advantage of, she reached out and pinched Faga's cheek as well.
“Sometimes I really want to bite you to death!” Ellen said viciously.
But she quickly broke down, bursting into laughter, tilting her head back to look at the sun in the sky, and murmuring:
"But I really want you to live forever, so that even the sun can't kill you."
Suddenly, everything went black before Eileen's eyes.
Suddenly, Fagga got up and came to Eileen's side.
Eileen stared into his eyes, which were as black as the night sky.
The next second, Eileen suddenly felt a soft touch on her lips, so she unconsciously closed her eyes and was pressed down by Fagah, wrapping her arms around Fagah's neck.
After a long while, their lips parted.
The two opened their eyes at the same time, and each saw the other's reflection in the other's eyes.
A moment later, Ellen heard Fagga say softly:
"Don't worry, we will all live to be a hundred years old."
“Faga…”
A glint appeared in Eileen's eyes, as if something had touched her heart. Suddenly, she raised her arms and leaned towards Fagga...
"Hey, you two up there, stop eating! Show some respect for the others!"
But the weather is unpredictable, and people can be insensitive.
Yuma cupped her hands into a megaphone shape and shouted, "Ready to go! Time to depart!"
