Chapter 39 isn't too late, is it? (1/2)

Actually, looking at the map, the straight-line distance between Canvas Lane and New Ellito is not that far.

However, because the dead end was empty, the middle was already blocked.

If we want to open up a new path, there is only one way left: make the dead end shrink!

The final step of the plan: defeat the Dead End Butcher!

"So, this is the place you calculated where the Dead End Butcher is most likely to appear?"

Nicole looked around; this place must have been an open-air parking lot, with a high-speed rail line nearby.

But now it has been destroyed beyond recognition by the Dead End Butcher. The high-speed rail line has been cut in half; all kinds of abandoned vehicles have been piled up in a ring, leaving a circular blank space in the middle.

"Logically speaking, this should be the place."

Iez jumped off Billy and looked around.

"Ugh, Rope Maker, why does this place feel so eerie? And judging by the weather, it looks like it's going to rain. I have a bad feeling about this."

The cold wind in Chad was bone-chilling, and Nicole involuntarily touched her forearm, where goosebumps were practically falling off.

At the same time, Amby nodded in agreement and said calmly, "I feel the same way."

"Hmph, don't worry, Ambii."

Billy swung his hand and pulled two pistols from his waist, striking what he thought was a cool pose, and shamelessly declared:

"I've learned the winning formula from the Star Knights storyline: Don't fight bad guys the rules; just use your ultimate flying kick from the start..."

Just as Billy was spouting off, Bell, noticing something amiss, began muttering to herself, "Hey, why is the etheric reactivity suddenly increasing, but only by a tiny bit? It's like something's rapidly approaching..."

Suddenly, a sharp cry rang out from inside Ies: "Something's coming! Watch out!"

Nicole: "Huh?"

Billy: "Huh?"

Ambition: "Hmm?"

Anbi's expression hardened, and she was the first to react, immediately drawing her sword and swinging it backward.

Han!

A tremendous force came from his arms, and Ambi slid more than ten meters away.

Once she regained her balance and looked closely, she discovered that it was a towering axe that was a full three meters long!

"Ambi, are you alright? Billy, is this the kind of upright person you talked about who doesn't play by the rules?"

Nicole quickly went over to help Ambi up and looked her over to see if she was injured.

Ambition shook her head to indicate that she was fine.

But Billy was holding his face in frustration, exclaiming dramatically, "He predicted my prediction! Is that guy also a fan of Star Knight?"

After saying that, Billy pointed forward, and Ambly and Nicole both looked over.

Amidst the thunder and rain, they squinted and, sure enough, saw a colossal creature crouching on the overpass more than fifty meters away from the towering axe.

From a distance, it looks as tall as a two-story building; just sitting there, one feels as if invincible. Everyone who faces it feels terrified, their hearts leading them toward certain death.

This is where the name Dead End Void comes from, the only overlord within the void!

Infamous: The Newborn Dead End Butcher!

Suddenly, it leaped up and jumped high into the sky, darkening the sky and completely obscuring the already hazy moonlight in the thunderstorm!

"Get out of the way!"

The bell rang as Ies screamed at the top of his lungs.

Suddenly, lightning flashed and thunder roared, and a white light captured the figure of the Butcher of the Dead Road under the moonlight.

Everyone turned their heads and saw, under the pale moonlight, the Dead End Butcher raised his fists and slammed them heavily into the ground!

Bang!

A deafening roar, the sky and earth shattered!

No words could describe the deafening sound; for a moment, everyone in the Rabbit House had their ears numb and their minds went blank.

Even Phaethon's proud long-distance mental connection that could traverse voids broke down.

The HDD was covered in a pale, snow-like color.

Ling was immediately shocked and asked in a panic, "What's going on?"

"Don't rush, ring!"

In the end, the older brother was more composed. Zhe took a closer look and quickly explained, "This is a signal interruption caused by a sudden burst of massive etheric activity. Ring, try connecting again."

Upon hearing her brother's suggestion, Ling quickly reconnected.

Sure enough, it worked right away!

Ling exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, you're a genius!"

However, Zhe didn't have time to respond to his sister's praise, and said in a cracking voice, "Get out of the way!"

Upon hearing this, Ling's delicate body trembled, and she quickly manipulated Ies to lower his head.

call!

A dark shadow flew past Ies' head and almost hit it!

"What is that... Billy!"

Upon regaining consciousness, Iez turned her head with lingering fear to see what had almost hit her, only to discover that it was Billy!

Ies quickly spurred his short legs over to check on Billy, gently patting his steel thigh and asking anxiously, "Billy, are you alright?"

"Judging from that voice... is it... is it the store manager?"

Billy managed to pull his head out of a pile of rubble; it was pitted and scarred, as if it had suffered inhuman torture.
