Chapter 10 Rope Maker 2

There are people coming and going on Liufen Street, and there is an inconspicuous video store garage called RandomPlay on the street.

Nicole and Baimu stood there waiting for the rope maker brother and sister. Nicole suddenly said, "Hey, Baimu, I see you're not good at speaking. Wait until I speak, and you stay silent."

Bai Mu: “Why?”

Nicole stood on tiptoe and patted his shoulder. "When it comes to business, I'm a long-time customer. I know how to bargain and even give you credit. It's always right to listen to me."

"Do you know how much money our Rabbit House owes? Millions, and it's only thanks to my eloquence that we're able to keep up the debt."

Just as Nicole was bragging about her glorious "achievements", a voice came over.

Ling: "I heard everything, Nicole."

Zhe: "Nicole, why are you in such a hurry to come to our place? Is there something wrong?"

Nicole immediately shut up when she heard that, and she held her chest guiltily and said, "Hey, why are you two always so elusive? You scared me to death."

Ling smiled and extended a hand to Nicole: "If you don't do anything wrong, you don't have to worry about ghosts knocking on your door. Nicole, it's time to pay off your debt."

Nicole: "On credit...on credit or something. Oh, this is Bai Mu, I introduced him. He has a commission for you guys, and we can develop him into a long-term client."

"Introduction fee, isn't it..."

She rubbed her hands together and looked at Ling and Zhe with a greedy look on her face.

Ling looked to the side and asked, "What's the referral fee, brother? Do we have this in our store?"

Zhe said with a smile: "Okay, sister, stop teasing Nicole. The referral fee has already offset part of the credit. Nicole, is that okay? Hey, young man, what do you want to ask for?"

Nicole finally breathed a sigh of relief, "As long as there's an introduction fee."

Ling also looked at Baimu. Baimu had not spoken before, so his presence was quite low.

"Wow, it's that handsome guy. How did he find his way here? Do you want to come in and sit down? We have green tea."

Ling unconsciously took a few steps closer to Bai Mu as she spoke, but was pulled back by Zhe, "Ling, be wary of strangers."

"Why? He looks like a good person."

Zhe looked Baimu up and down. Not only was he covered in scars, but his abdomen was also wrapped in a bandage made of torn pieces of clothes, and blood was still seeping out. Did he really look like a good person?

"Your name is Bai Mu, right? The commission is 30,000 per transaction. We don't accept credit from strangers."

Zhe said, looking at Nicole, "Does he have money?"

Nicole laughed and said, "He's still looking for a summer job, isn't he? He probably doesn't have the money, but I can guarantee it with my reputation, Nicole, he's absolutely reliable! He'll definitely pay me back once he has the money."

When Ling and Zhe heard the word "credibility", they shrugged unconsciously, and even Bai Mu laughed a little.

Ling: "Nico's reputation... Hmm~ That's really reliable."

She deliberately emphasized the word "reliable".

Nicole pouted. "Although, although the debt is a bit high, we at the Rabbit House are working hard to pay it back. Phaethon the Rope Maker shouldn't make things difficult for such a loyal and reliable Rabbit House~"

Ling: "Since Baimu is here to discuss the commission, Nicole, let's talk to the client."

Nicole glanced at Bai Mu with some concern, her eyes saying "be cunning" and "adapt to circumstances".

But Bai Mu didn't notice anything, he just looked the two up and down.

Zhe, Phaethon's older brother, was about 1.80 meters tall, a bit shorter than Phaethon, and looked very frail. He wore a work suit that had a functional feel to it, and he looked very capable and handsome.

Ling, who was probably Zhe's younger sister, had blue hair and was about the same height as Nicole. She wore a black jacket and short skirt. Her face was quite cute, a bit like a playful fox. Her big eyes seemed to have stars in them, and she was always very curious about her surroundings.

Bai Mu nodded and took a step forward: "No problem."

"I need a rope maker to find me a small safe that was lost in a recently appeared Type 3 Void."

Ling stroked her chin. "Our computer will need tomorrow to compile all the data from the Type 3 void. We can certainly accept your commission, but the commission fee..."

Zhe didn't hesitate at all. "Since you're a new customer, we can certainly give you credit. It's a deal, tomorrow at noon."

He immediately took out a business card and handed it over. "This is our business card. Feel free to call us anytime tomorrow afternoon. We'll guide you through the caverns, but we hope you can find some companions to explore with you. After all, there are many monsters in the caverns, and you might not be able to handle them all alone."

Bai Mu nodded, "I understand."

After saying that, he walked out of the garage on his own.

Nicole heaved a sigh of relief when she heard this, "Thank you for not making things difficult for him."

"Nicole, he seems much more reliable than you. Regarding the debt..."

Ling said as she extended her hand again, but Nicole had already run out dejectedly, "Bai Mu, wait for me! Let's talk about the debt later."

The two finally left.

Ling then pouted and looked at Zhe, "Brother, why did you agree to let him buy it on credit so easily? We're already running out of money this month!"

Zhe smiled faintly and said, "What do you think? You've been looking at me a lot today, like a pervert, without any sense of vigilance at all."

"Brother, what are you talking about? He's so handsome, and I can't even look at him a few more times! Tsk, so stingy~"

"I've seen it for a while now, and that person has to call me brother-in-law."

"Don't say that!"
