"Nekomata, are you still awake? I'm coming in."
Shiraki knocked lightly on the metal door of the container, and Nekomata quickly unzipped it from the inside and looked at Shiraki.
"Is it Nekomata's Yakitori?"
As she spoke, she looked at the plastic bag in Shiraki's hand, which contained a box of yakitori.
Bai Mu nodded, "Well, there's something else I want to tell you."
Bai Mu finished speaking and walked into the container.
But Nekomata turned his eyes away from Shiraki's hand and put his hands behind his back: "Hehe, Shiraki Shiraki, Nekomata has a surprise for you."
Bai Mu looked at her and felt a sense of sympathy for some reason.
Bai Lao is dead, and Mao still doesn't know about it.
He rubbed her head and smiled, "What's the surprise?"
Nekomata smiled and took out something hidden behind his back, "King, King! It's Nekomata's math test! Nekomata actually got 61 points! Nekomata is amazing!"
Bai Mu looked at the math test paper, which had the words "second year junior high school final exam paper" written on it.
"That's impressive! You got a passing score right out of the gate. I'll give you a roasted bird as a reward."
He said as he sat down at the table and handed the yakitori to the Nekomata.
"Hehehe, cats are smart again, right?"
The cat took the grilled bird with a happy look on its face and started eating it in big mouthfuls.
Bai Mu asked: "Speaking of which, it's so late, why haven't you gone to bed yet?"
It's almost dawn now.
The cat ate roasted bird again, pouting: "Hmm, I don't know what's wrong, meow, I always feel uneasy and can't sleep, meow."
“I still feel a little nervous now.”
Bai Mu let out a breath, he really didn't know what to do about this.
He stood up and hugged the cat again.
Nekomata blinked, "What's wrong, meow? Why do you want to hug Nekomata?"
Bai Mu shook his head and said, "I have something to tell you. Bai Lao is dead."
The cat thought Bai Mu was joking.
"How is that possible? Didn't we go see Whitey this morning?"
"Shiraki, you must be trying to scare Nekomata, right? Nekomata won't be fooled."
She continued to smile, her face full of disbelief.
After all, how could someone I just met in the morning disappear in the evening?
Impossible, how is that possible?
Bai Mu shook his head, "I'm being serious. It was Bai Lao's fault that I went out before. He died in the Hollow with those scum of the upper class."
He said, patting Nekomata's back gently.
Truth will come to light sooner or later. Lies will be exposed one day.
If the truth is a sharp knife, lies will only make it worse.
The cat still had a smile on its face after hearing this.
"Shiraki must be lying to Nekomata. Impossible. Absolutely impossible."
Bai Mu didn't say anything, but continued to pat her back gently.
He could feel Nekomata's body trembling slightly.
People don't actually cry when they are extremely sad.
The cat was silent again, with a smile still on his face, but the smile was slowly becoming stiff.
She opened her eyes and looked at the iron sheet, and her body began to tremble.
"Shiraimu..."
"You're lying to Nekomata, right?"
Bai Mu shook his head.
"real."
The two of them hugged each other in silence for a long time. The cat didn't cry, but its body seemed to be stiff and getting colder and colder.
Bai Mu could only hold her tighter and use his body temperature to give her a little warmth. He was afraid that if he let go, Nekomata would collapse and have an emotional breakdown.
The cat opened its mouth again, but something seemed to be stuck in its throat and it couldn't make any sound.
She tried to move her fingers, but they refused to obey her commands.
It's as if the body and soul have completely lost contact.
She breathed in small sips, inhaling cold air and exhaling cold air.
White guy is dead...
"How did Bai Lao... die?"
The cat asked, trembling again.
Bai Mu said: "He committed suicide. He couldn't live anymore, so he chose death."
"So, when Bai Lao died, did he leave with dignity?"
Nekomata's voice was hoarse.
Bai Mu nodded, "Well, he died like a gentleman."
"gentleman…"
The cat repeated the word again.
"gentleman."
"That...that's good, Bai Mu, can you please let me go, meow? You're holding me too tightly."
The cat struggled again and seemed to have regained some strength.
"Okay. Is that okay?"
Nekomata nodded, "It's okay, Nekomata, Nekomata has grown up..."
She picked up the roasted bird on the table and continued eating.
But the cold roasted bird was as hard to chew as wood and had no taste like wood.
She pretended to be fine and said, "Bai Mu, you should rest first. You haven't slept all day."
Shiraki was still a little worried about Nekomata, so he nodded and lay down on the bed.
"Well, if you have anything, tell me."
Nekomata gave Shiraki a reassuring smile, "It's okay, meow, Nekomata is very strong."
Baihua was also lying on the bed to rest. It raised its head when it sensed the movement around it, but it seemed nothing was wrong, so it curled up to rest again.
Bai Mu closed his eyes, but he couldn't sleep.
He listened carefully to the sounds around him. The Nekomata's breathing was very steady. Shiraki could only hear the chewing sound but no swallowing sound.
After a while, Baimu heard light footsteps.
He opened his eyes and saw that Nekomata had already opened the door and gone out.
He followed behind anxiously, lurking.
The cat kept walking forward and came to a small pile of flowers and plants. He picked up a small pile of stones from the ground and built a simple small mound.
