Chapter 70 Accident?

Bai Mu didn't panic. He took out a notebook and said, "If there are any questions, I will investigate. Now I ask you questions. What is the name of the deceased?"

The man calmed down and said, "His name is Peng Chenghai, he's 23 years old, and a junior in the School of Engineering."

Bai Mu nodded, then looked at him and asked, "What about you?"

The man said, "My name is Frankie. I'm a year younger than him. I'm his roommate and we have the same major."

"How many of you came today?"

"Five. The crying girl over there is his girlfriend, Anna. The other two are friends from other colleges. They just went to the bathroom together."

Bai Mu nodded, "Well, I'll go check out the body."

As he spoke, he took out a pair of white plastic gloves from his pocket and put them on, then looked at the manager: "By the way, do you have the medical examination report from the hospital?"

The manager nodded, "Yes, yes, it has been sent to my phone."

"I'll send you a copy."

As he spoke, Bai Mu accepted the document.

The examination report showed that it was cardiac arrest, but the specific cause still needs further forensic investigation.

Bai Mu looked at Franky and said, "Come with me."

Franky nodded, "Yes, officer, you must investigate thoroughly."

Bai Mu: "Don't worry, I'm very professional."

After saying that, several people walked to the side of the corpse. Bai Mu squatted down and reached out to pry open the corpse's mouth.

A strong smell of coffee suddenly emanated from the corpse's mouth.

Bai Mu asked, "Does he usually drink coffee?"

Franky shook his head. "No, he never drinks coffee."

Bai Mu said nothing, and took out a pair of tweezers from the tool kit beside him and probed into the gap between the dead man's teeth.

Soon some black flakes were discovered.

"Do you have any impression of this thing?"

Franky shook his head. "Looks like... seaweed? No, not quite. It looks like something made of wood."

Bai Mu didn't say anything. Instead, he pulled out an evidence bag and said into the intercom, "XX amusement park needs support. It's suspected to be a case of intentional homicide. I found residue from a high-concentration caffeine tablet in the victim's mouth."

He looked at Franky again and said, "Call all of you here. I want to conduct a live interrogation."

Frankie listened to what Bai Mu said on the intercom, and immediately his throat rolled and his eyes reddened. "Officer, he didn't die of a heart attack, right?"

Bai Mu shook his head. "The report just sent by the hospital shows that the deceased had no history of heart disease. It is most likely murder."

"I now suspect this is a murder case of a serious nature."

"Please cooperate."
