In the early morning, the mist from the night before had yet to dissipate, and the sky was just beginning to turn pale.
There were few vehicles or pedestrians on Liufen Street, but Ling was already at the door of the video store, twirling her keychain with one finger, swiping her cell phone, and leaning against the wall as if waiting for someone.
"It should be here soon, right?"
Ling winked and glanced at the empty street.
Zhe opened the door a crack and said with a smile: "Sister, it's too early. Even Bai Mu needs to rest."
Ling pouted anxiously, "It's almost half past five, and Chef Qiaopu's ramen shop has been open for a full 720 seconds. He's not going to come, is he?"
Every second of waiting is torture.
Zhe sighed. He had never seen Ling get up so early before. Today was the first time she got up so early. She even spent a long time fiddling with her hair in the room.
well.
"You can't be impatient, so why don't you come in and help me move some boxes? The videotapes that came in a few days ago have been edited and are ready to be put on the shelves."
Ling Dada's eyes rolled around, and she suddenly blushed and said, "Who, who wants to eat him?"
Zhe smiled without saying anything, closed the shop door, then shook his head and leaned against the wall.
I don’t know if my sister can do it.
But Baimu is a really good person. It would be great if he could be my brother-in-law.
But given Baimu's personality, this matter cannot be rushed.
He walked up to Bombu, who was standing at the counter, holding the cardboard box. "Number 18, you'll be pushing these videotapes today."
"Yeah! Yeah! (I'll work hard today!)"
Zhe rubbed No. 18's head lovingly and started to arrange the goods again.
Ling waited outside the door. After about a few minutes, a figure in a windbreaker came from a distance.
There was also a tiny cat beside him.
Ling immediately perked up, "Bai Mu is here."
The figure came closer and closer to Ling.
"Good morning, Shiraki, let's go and I'll treat you to some ramen!"
Bai Mu looked at Ling, "Do you usually get up this early?"
Ling shook her head, then nodded again as she thought of something.
"I usually get up early. How could I get up early just because Bai Mu is coming?"
"Let's go."
"Meow~"
Baihua walked to Ling's feet and rubbed her calf.
Ling squatted down and picked up Baihua with both hands, "Good morning, Baihua."
“Ahhh~”
Baimu barked happily twice, knowing that there would be delicious food if he followed this girl.
Ling smiled and hugged Baihua into her arms, saying as she walked forward, "Baihua has a really good personality, almost like you."
Bai Mu followed her, "Really? I feel that Bai Hua's personality might be a little better than mine."
He still has a clear understanding of himself.
Ling pinched Baihua's belly and said, "Baihua doesn't bite or bark, she's very well behaved."
Bai Mu nodded when he heard that, "Well, then I don't bite or bark, that's pretty much the same."
Ling turned her head to look at the tall Baimu, and pinched his belly, "You are good too."
“Hahahahahahaha.”
The two walked to the newsstand across the street, where a Husky was sleeping soundly on the stall.
Ling introduced with interest:
"Bai Mu Bai Mu, this is our Liufen Street's mascot, Awoo Senior."
Bai Mu looked at it curiously, "Is it the boss?"
"Yeah, it's amazing, right? You can come here every day to scratch a free ticket, and you can also read the newspaper for free. It's really great."
Ling reached out and touched Aowu's head.
Suddenly, he smiled evilly and said, "My favorite thing to do every day is to wake it up while it's asleep and ask it for a scratch-off lottery ticket."
Bai Mu touched his chin, feeling that this was not a very fair thing to do.
Aowu's ears were twitching, as if he had anticipated something bad.
Ling lifted up one of Ao Wu's ears and shouted inside, "Wake up! Senior Ao Wu!"
"Woof!"
Awoo suddenly perked up, sat up and looked at the two of them. His face was still a little angry, but when he saw Baihua, he immediately laughed and stuck out his tongue, looking flattering.
"That's it."
Ling said as she pulled out two scratch-off tickets from the side.
"Try it?"
Bai Mu took the scratch card and scratched off the top layer with his fingernails, revealing a dog bone.
"This is?"
Ling leaned over to take a look. "Wow, third prize, 1888 Dingni!"
"Good luck. Look at mine."
Bai Mu nodded, "Look at yours."
Ling scratched the scratch-off ticket in front of her. On it was a pattern of two bones. "I'm luckier. Hehehe, second prize, 2888 Dingni~"
She said this with a smile and placed the phone in front of Awoo.
Awooo transferred some Dingni to both of them.
"Let's go, ramen ramen."
Ling, holding Baihua, skipped towards Chef Qiaopu's ramen shop.
Bai Mu followed behind and asked curiously, "Won't it lose money this way? I mean, one free scratch ticket every day."
Ling shook her head. "Yeah, no, this is a small shop set up by the municipal government. We have some homeless children on Liufen Street. With this small shop, they can have some money to spend so they don't go hungry."
"A few thousand dinnels won't make the city poor, and it won't make us rich, but it will buy a child a bowl or half a bowl of ramen."
Bai Mu looked at the redeemed scratch ticket in his hand and nodded. He wished there was a place like this when he was a child.
The two came to the ramen shop, which was a small shop with only a few stools on the outside and a long table for eating noodles.
