Chapter 2 (Revised) "Husbands and wives are like birds in the same forest..."
The young master Gao laughed and said, "Just now you were worried about my health, but now you're concerned about my smile. It seems your heart isn't sincere, not sincere at all!"
Zhu Bao'e, not listening to these words, hurriedly stepped forward and said, "Brother, don't say such things. If you take a sharp knife and cut open my heart, you will know that it is full of you. Even the Bodhisattva would have to put his palms together and sigh at my sincerity."
Young Master Gao laughed again: "So all that going to bed and starting work every day is just to find a place to hone your verbal skills."
She stepped forward to see his face, and the young master bowed and chuckled as he asked her to hold his face in her hands so she could see it.
Zhu Bao'e cupped his face in both hands, turning it left and right, using the same meticulous care she would take to eat a pancake, afraid of missing even a tiny bit.
Young Master Gao was also looking at her.
Look at her slightly upturned hair, a few long, thin braids like willow branches, honey-colored skin, and slightly pointed teeth.
Finally, he asked, "How are your injuries?"
Bao'e examined him carefully and comforted him, "Don't worry, I can't see any injuries. It's probably just that the sun was too strong and made you feel tired. You'll be fine after a rest."
"So what if it's your face?"
"That's fine, that's fine too."
"Since you're healthy and have a good complexion, why don't you let go of my hand?" Young Master Gao asked her. "How much more do you need to examine me?"
Good Bao'e, her heart was stirred up by these words again, and she held onto the smooth skin, unwilling to let go.
"You can't tell by looking or touching, but maybe a couple of kisses will tell you if it's been damaged by the scorching sun." As she spoke, she leaned forward to kiss him.
But as soon as she took a step closer, something suddenly landed on her back.
It was like a stick, hitting her so hard that she stumbled forward.
Young Master Gao dodged with a quick step, and she almost fell onto the bed again, but managed to stay upright in time.
Zhu Bao'e was also short-tempered. She touched her back, her thin eyebrows furrowing in annoyance, and was about to explode: "What kind of rubbish hit me? It's more solid than the pancake your father kneaded, and it almost broke my bones!"
For some reason, the young master Gao chuckled and said, "Your eyes are quite fortunate to recognize the power of this treasure."
He didn't speak loudly, and Zhu Bao'e was crying out in pain, so he couldn't hear him clearly.
She stepped forward, touching her lower back, and said, "Brother, please take a look and see if I'm hurt anywhere."
Young Master Gao probably saw through her wicked thoughts, but said, "Good sister, don't be in a hurry. You've had a long day, so you should wash up first. Once you feel refreshed and in a good mood, it's not too late to do it."
“That makes sense,” Bao’e said, holding his hand. “But my father-in-law always complains that I eat, dress, and use too much. It would be better to use one bucket of water for two people to wash, which would save him some money.”
"What a clever scheme! You're giving too much credit to those mandarin ducks playing in the water as the most frugal ancestors in heaven and earth." Young Master Gao sighed. "It's a pity that nowadays, Father doesn't care about a few dollars anymore; he just wants to throw all the family assets away."
Bao'e was alarmed: "What evil spirit has possessed him?"
Zhu Bao'e was furious: "That old man, he still won't give up! I'm so honest, how could I have ever harmed anyone? Besides, didn't he already know that I had completely forgotten my background and origins? He didn't suspect or question me a few years ago, but now he's worried."
Upon hearing that she had completely forgotten, Young Master Gao's expression changed slightly.
Unaware of the danger, she waved her hand and said, "Don't worry, no matter where he invites the sorcerer, I don't think he can withstand my rake! I'll poke a few pretty bloody holes in that sorcerer's head, and then use them as incense burners for your father, as a way of showing respect to him."
“What a kind and honest man,” said Young Master Gao. “I also thought you had long forgotten your origins. I suppose your father is getting senile and has forgotten about it.”
Bao'e snorted again: "That old man has such a bad memory. Back then, he was the one who guessed that I had been hit on the head by a monster, which is why I forgot about the past. Now he has forgotten everything. Could it be that he has also been hit on the head by a monster somewhere?"
Zhu Bao'e was also somewhat curious: "Who?"
"It is the Great Sage Equal to Heaven who caused havoc in the Heavenly Palace five hundred years ago."
"That sounds familiar, that sounds familiar!" Bao'e thought to herself, "This name does sound very familiar."
But let alone five hundred years ago, she couldn't even remember things from five years ago, so how would she know anything about the Great Sage Equaling Heaven?
Young Master Gao laughed, "Good sister, you just said you'd forgotten the past, but now you say it sounds familiar?"
"It's hard to say, it sounds like I've heard it somewhere before," Bao'e asked him. "What does the Great Sage look like? What kind of face does he have?"
With such an arrogant title, she guessed that he must be a handsome mage, otherwise how could she possibly have any familiarity with him?
Young Master Gao said, "Eyes are two eyes, and mouth is one mouth."
“Brother, don’t make such jokes.” Bao’e leaned closer to him and took his hand. “Tell me in detail, and maybe we can piece together a complete picture. If it’s an old friend, it will save me the trouble of playing with that rake.”
"I can't remember what he looks like, I can't remember him at all! But I do have a treasure in my hand that will clear up your muddy head."
"Brother actually has such a treasure?" Bao'e looked a little stunned, and then hurriedly moved closer. "Quickly take it out so I can have a look. Don't hide it!"
"Watch closely." The young master took something out of his ear and held it in his palm.
Long and thin, glittering with gold.
Bao'e looked closely and exclaimed, "These are the gold needles I got from Mother?"
Young Master Gao chuckled twice, then sighed and shook his head: "You blockhead."
"How dare you insult me!" Bao'e roared in anger.
"Just watch, see what kind of thread this golden needle can thread, and what kind of clothes it can cut." He held the needle in his hand and tossed it a couple of times.
But then the gold object, which looked like an embroidery needle, grew much larger and in the blink of an eye became ten feet long.
Bao'e was dazzled by the myriad golden rays emanating from the stick. Even though she was a simpleton, she could see the supernatural power of the golden stick.
She thought to herself, "This young master Gao is usually weak and has only mortal eyes. How could he possess such a magical artifact? The one in front of me is probably someone else in disguise."
She realized something was wrong and immediately decided to leave.
The young master Gao, with his staff in hand, chuckled and pulled her back.
"Good girl, you haven't even seen all the wonders of this treasure yet, where are you going!" He wiped his face, revealing a face as monstrous as the Thunder God.
Bao'e was so frightened when she saw the young master Gao transform into this snarling, menacing figure.
Where has her gentle and kind young master gone? Instead, he's a snarling monkey!
Her scalp tingled, her hands and feet went numb, and she turned into a gust of wind and ran outside.
The demon then struck the wind with her stick.
This blow left Bao'e dizzy and seeing stars.
It really opened my mind, causing all those past events to rush back all at once.
She regained her human form and staggered downstairs, looking as if she were drunk.
The hairy-faced monster was hot on their heels.
Bao'e covered her head and, after descending a few steps, suddenly managed to sort out some thoughts from her chaotic mind.
She has traveled into the world of "Journey to the West," and she did so more than a thousand years ago.
The person who helped her transmigrate into the book said that the book was not the original work, but a heavily modified version, which included many supernatural tales and anecdotes.
This book is also her destiny book; everything in the book is the experience she was meant to have.
The man predicted that she would encounter many calamities and gave her this book in advance, telling her to read it carefully and be cautious.
But she was lazy and dizzy at the sight of words, and even if she wanted to make some major changes, she couldn't change it much. She had no interest in reading any modified versions of Journey to the West, and just spent her days dreaming about it.
Ultimately, relying on her previous cursory reading of the original "Journey to the West," she hastily flipped through a few pages and called it a day.
Who would have thought that she had just taken a nap and actually transmigrated to this bizarre and fantastical world?
She is still not fully conscious and can only vaguely recall these fragmented details.
But there was one thing she remembered.
That revealed the true nature of the hairy-faced monster behind him.
He was none other than the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, who wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace!
This impatient monkey once stirred up the entire Heavenly Court with a single blow. Bao'e knew he had some supernatural powers, but for a moment she couldn't remember who she was or why he wanted to hit her. Fearing she was no match for him, she tried to find a way to escape.
She leaped down the stairs, gritting her teeth, running until she was covered in a cold sweat, when suddenly someone came running towards her.
It turned out to be Gao Cuilan.
The young master was handsome and gentle, but now he looked like a bird that had wandered into a wild forest, his clothes were loose and disheveled, his black hair was messy, and there was a piece of hemp rope hanging from his elbow.
Three or four servants hurriedly followed behind him, calling out "Third Young Master" in high and low voices.
But upon seeing her, they all stopped, panicked, and dared not approach.
Only Young Master Gao rushed forward, his face pale and his words hurried: "Bao'e, Bao'e! Don't go, please let me explain. Father sent men to kidnap me, and I barely managed to break free. Believe me, I have no intention of harming you."
Bao'e fled in panic, not caring about him at all.
But he suddenly grabbed her, forcing her to stop and calling out urgently, "Good brother!"
Hearing this, Gao Cuilan breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Seeing a thin layer of sweat on her face, he was about to wipe it away for her when he heard her say, "We can't be husband and wife anymore, brother, please don't think of me anymore."
After saying that, she tried to turn and run away.
Gao Cuilan's face turned pale. She was still thinking about inviting the monk and was unwilling to let go.
He suddenly found a surge of strength and grabbed her tightly, his hands turning white from gripping her so hard that his voice became hoarse: "Bao'e, are you blaming me?"
Bao'e was extremely anxious. She glanced at the dark doorway and saw a pair of fiery eyes. Instantly, her bones went weak and her body went numb.
"No, no!" she said, but she wished she could throw him to the ends of the earth. She pulled his hand away like a stalk of green onion and said urgently, "Brother, as the saying goes, husband and wife are like birds in the same forest; when disaster strikes, they fly away separately. Now that you are alright, I'll fly away first!!"
She leaped away, transforming into flames.
The traveler, without looking to the side, also rose up on a cloud and followed closely behind.
Only the tall railing remained standing in the courtyard, like dead ashes and withered wood.
The two or three servants hesitated and stepped forward, about to call him, when they saw him suddenly choke and vomit a mouthful of blood out of thin air.
