Chapter 64 (Second Update) "Zhu Bao'e, you follow..."

Although she chased away the traveler, the Rakshasa woman was still worried, so she quickly wrote a letter to the Bull Demon King, urging him to return as soon as possible.

No sooner had the letter been sent than the traveler returned.

He shouted, "Open the door!"

As Rakshasa was about to leave, the Holy Infant King stopped her: "Mother, let me go. This time I will not spare him; I will burn him to a crisp!"

After saying this, he ignored Rakshasa's advice and ordered a group of lesser demons to push out five small carts.

He asked the traveler, "Hey you monkey, what brings you here again?"

The pilgrim said, "Give me back my master and junior sister!"

Unexpectedly, the strange man agreed very readily: "Okay!"

The traveler asked doubtfully, "Is it really true?"

The Holy Infant King said arrogantly, "I'll return the monk to you. I have my own way to achieve immortality, and I don't need a piece of his flesh. But Zhu Bao'e won't let go. You can take your master and leave."

The pilgrim laughed and said, "Brother, you're too calculating. You took two people, so I naturally took two as well. Why leave one for you?"

"Don't talk back!" said the Holy Infant King. "I'll give the monk back to you, but I won't let Zhu Bao'e go!"

“You shameless wretch, your baby teeth haven’t even fallen out yet, and you’re not ashamed at all? You’ve trapped my junior sister here, what do you want with her?” the Monkey King laughed. “Nephew, I won’t talk to you, call that Rakshasa woman out.”

He shouted, "Sister-in-law, I, Old Sun, humbly beg you to release my junior sister and master. In return, I will lend you my fan."

The Holy Infant King shouted, "You monkey, you're so out of touch with reality! Stop yelling, or you'll get a gun!"

He drew a fire-tipped spear and fought him for dozens of rounds.

Seeing that it could not win, the monster resorted to its old trick, punching its own nose twice and spitting out fire.

Little did he know that the traveler had taken precautions and had already summoned the Dragon King to deal with the raging fire.

The traveler turned around and shouted, "Where is the Dragon King!"

Before long, a sudden downpour began.

What a wonderful, gentle downpour!

The Holy Infant, however, was not afraid. Instead, he laughed arrogantly and said, "This monkey, don't even think about plotting against me!"

Sure enough, the rain did not diminish the fire in the slightest.

It turns out that his fire was the Samadhi True Fire, not ordinary fire. Even the Dragon King's rain could not extinguish it; on the contrary, it was like adding fuel to the fire.

Seeing this, the traveler simply made a hand seal, picked up his staff, and rushed into the fire, wanting to test his strength against the monster.

Unexpectedly, the holy infant spewed out fire again, and in an instant, smoke and fire surged forth, all rushing towards the traveler.

The Great Sage was so enraged by the smoke that tears streamed down his face. Covered in soot, he threw himself into the water, intending to extinguish the fire.

Who would have thought that the cold water would cause him to become so enraged that his soul left his body, and he drowned in the cold water, drifting downstream.

The Dragon King panicked and hurriedly stopped the rain. Fearing no one would come to his rescue, he shouted into the Banana Cave, "Zhu Bao'e! Tianpeng! Quickly go to the ravine and save your senior brother!"

Bao'e heard this sound in her drowsy state and suddenly woke up.

She hurriedly got up, looking somewhat dazed.

Just then, a little demon arrived with vegetarian food, and she set out a table full of food for him.

Bao'e suddenly asked, "You rascal, what's your name?"

The little demon replied, "I'm completely confused."

Bao'e nodded: "Yunliwu, I want to eat tender bamboo shoots, bring them to me."

They stepped forward through the clouds and mist.

As he was bowing, the fool suddenly became ruthless, knocking him unconscious with a rake, first transforming him into his own likeness, and then into his likeness.

She dragged him to the table, made him sit in a vegetarian position, then took the tray and walked out.

Midway through, she encountered the Holy Infant King.

The Holy Infant King was in high spirits, full of pride and great ambition.

He asked, "In the fog, is Zhu Bao'e observing a vegetarian diet?"

"We were eating," Bao'e suddenly said. "Your Majesty, that vile demon doesn't want to be disturbed."

The Holy Infant stopped, asking in confusion, "What is the reason for this?"

Bao'e said, "She ate to her heart's content, but the monk didn't have a single bowl of vegetarian food. He mumbled that he didn't want others to see him and was somewhat ashamed."

The Holy Infant King indeed stopped, seemingly lost in thought.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Bao'e slipped out of the stone gate and headed straight for the mountain stream.

Just then, a person waded through the rapids; it was the traveler.

His eyes were tightly closed, and his limbs were curled up, making him look just like a dead man.

Seeing this, Bao'e couldn't help but burst into tears and said, "Brother, so what if that monk dies? Why torture yourself like this? Even if you become a dead person, at most the monk will just burn some incense and offer you a prayer!"

She rushed forward, pulled him out, and realized he was still breathing.

Good Bao'e quickly rubbed her hands together to warm them and massaged him for a while to help him breathe through his three gates.

The Great Sage slowly opened his eyes, saw her, and couldn't help but have tears welling up in his eyes as well.

He said, "Wu Miao, I, Old Sun, have suffered a loss."

“Senior brother, I know, no need to say more, at least save your life.” Bao’e helped the traveler to sit down in the forest, and did not forget to say, “This matter should be credited to me for saving your life.”

“I can figure it out, I can figure it out!” the traveler asked her. “Wumiao, weren’t you taken to a cave by that monster? How did you get out?”

Bao'e then told him about hearing the Dragon King's message and how she disguised herself as the Cloud Fog.

The traveler said, “My dear sister, I used to say you were a simpleton, but I was wrong about you.”

He then thanked the Dragon King of the Clouds. After the Dragon King left, he said, "That Red Boy has some skills. He originally said he could return the fan to his master, but he wanted you to stay in the Banana Cave. Now that you've come out, you can ask for your master back, but the Banana Fan is not easy to obtain."

“Of course, of course!” Bao’e said. “Senior brother, to tell you the truth, I have known that Rakshasa woman for several years and know that she respects the Bodhisattva. Go and invite the Bodhisattva to come and ask her to plead with that Rakshasa woman.”

"It is good, but I am not feeling well right now. My skin and flesh are sore and numb, and I am in great pain. I cannot carry the somersault cloud."

“I’ll go and invite her,” Bao’e said, getting up. “I’ve been to the South China Sea before and have seen Guanyin. It’s not a difficult thing.”

After saying this, she rose up on clouds and mist and headed straight for the South China Sea.

But halfway there, she suddenly bumped into Guanyin Bodhisattva, who sat down on the rock and closed her eyes in meditation.

The fool thought to himself that he was incredibly lucky to have met Guanyin before even reaching the South China Sea.

She immediately stopped in her tracks, hurriedly stepped forward and bowed, saying, "Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva, please help me!"

The Bodhisattva said, "Why are you running around instead of going to retrieve the scriptures?"

Bao'e said, "Bodhisattva, I have come to you because I am in trouble. My master has been captured by a demon, and my senior brother has been burned and is in great pain. I hope that you, Bodhisattva, can act as my intermediary and help me save my master and borrow that demon's treasure again."

“Your master was captured because his mind was not clear. Your senior brother was burned because he was not skilled enough. This journey westward is for cultivation, why do you always look for helpers?” The Bodhisattva paused for a moment and asked her, “What kind of demon is he, and how did you offend him?”

Bao'e said, "It's a demon transformed from a cow."

After she finished speaking, she seemed to hear the Bodhisattva let out a cold laugh.

She looked up and saw that the Bodhisattva still had a compassionate expression. She thought she had misheard and continued, "He did not offend me. He just wanted to seek immortality, so he kidnapped my master."

"Very well, I'll do you a favor and ask him to release your master." The Bodhisattva turned and rode away on a cloud, saying, "Zhu Bao'e, come with me."

Bao'e thought it was strange.

The Bodhisattva often calls her Wumiao, so why is she called by her secular name today?

She asked blankly, "Bodhisattva, I haven't even said what kind of demon it is, how do you know where it is going?"

The Bodhisattva paused for a moment: "You said it was transformed from a bull. Within a hundred miles, only the Banana Cave on Cuiyun Mountain has a bull demon."

"Bodhisattva, why is Moksha not here today?"

"He was chanting sutras in the South China Sea."

“Some time ago, that monk Moksha asked to borrow my embroidered ball to play with. I’m afraid he’s forgotten, so I hope the Bodhisattva will remind him.”

"I will tell him when we get back."

Bao'e nodded and rode forward on a cloud.

But as she approached the Bodhisattva, she suddenly raised her rake and struck, shouting angrily, "Who dares to impersonate a Bodhisattva and scare me? Take this!"

The Bodhisattva dodged her and rebuked her: "Zhu Bao'e, this humble monk kindly helped you, why are you suspicious!"

"Don't try to fool me," Bao'e laughed. "The Bodhisattva doesn't call me by my secular name. Besides, the embroidered ball is Nezha's treasure, what does it have to do with that Muzha pilgrim?"

Upon hearing this, the Bodhisattva wiped his face and transformed back into the appearance of the Holy Infant King.

He couldn't help but praise, "Zhu Bao'e, you really have some skills. But don't even think about going to the South China Sea, just come back with me honestly."

It turned out that the Holy Infant King had heard from "Cloudy Fog" that Zhu Bao'e was somewhat ashamed and refused to see outsiders while eating, so he sent someone to prepare a vegetarian meal for Tang Sanzang before going to find her.

When he went inside, he saw "Zhu Bao'e" lying motionless on the table. Fearing she was dead, he rushed over, only to find that she was a fake.

Startled, he went out of the cave to look for her and saw her riding a cloud southward. He knew she was looking for the Bodhisattva, so he disguised himself as the Bodhisattva and waited for her.

Bao'e smiled and said, "My child, don't try to stop me."

The Holy Infant King said, "I have already released that monk; he is now in the hands of that monkey."

Bao'e asked doubtfully, "Is it really true?"

"I won't lie to you. When we get back, you'll see for yourself." The Holy Infant King, holding the Fire-Tipped Spear, said to her, "Zhu Bao'e, come with me. We can talk about borrowing the Banana Leaf Fan."

Author's Note: Friends, I commissioned a story about Bao'e's true appearance, but it's a real pig, and I'm hesitating whether to post it or not. I really want to laugh...
