Post-apocalyptic Wasteland Mechanic
Me: I had a very interesting dream. I was halfway through telling you about it in the dream, but then I realized it wasn't right. Why am I in a dream? Why do I have to tell you about it again?
I dreamed of a cyber wasteland world view, where Mo Yi and I were a pair of thieves.
Once when we were resting on a rooftop, we met another group of people. They tried to make a deal with us, but we didn't agree and were about to fight.
Just then, a well-known person from the world view, a person similar to an exchange, appeared. They created a small space and invited me to go in alone to meet with their boss.
I went there, and the boss tried to hire me directly, but I refused. The rules of the exchange were that you couldn't fight on their territory (in their space), and they couldn't actively hurt others, so they had no choice but to let me go.
When I entered the space, Mo Yi and the person on the opposite side started to argue with each other, but the person on the opposite side couldn't win the argument. In anger, the people from the exchange wanted to "recruit" the person on the opposite side. When the person on the opposite side disagreed, they wanted to use force.
Mo Yi had always hated people from the exchange because of my unclear situation, but after this incident, they miraculously started to cooperate with Mo Yi.
When I came out, I saw them fighting with the people from the exchange. The people from the exchange next to me also started to arrest me. I dealt with the people on my side first, then looked back at Mo Yi. Hey, he was fighting quite leisurely, and it didn't seem like there was any big problem.
I didn't want to bother with the people on the other side, but the people at the exchange were so annoying, so I took out a homemade gun and started shooting.
Mo Yi knew I had poor aim and was easily affected by recoil, so he quickly disengaged when he saw me pull out my gun. But the other side didn't know that after I executed the people from the exchange, the leader of the opposing team was shot in the calf.
But I don't know what was wrong with him. He actually fell in love with me because of the nonchalant look in my eyes when I shot.
Then he came to me in the name of his gunshot wound and insisted that I wait until his wound healed before leaving. He even paid for accommodation and asked us to live in the same building with them. Mo Yi was very unhappy.
I'm a mechanical modifier, apparently? I spend my time in my room studying blueprints, building weapons myself, or modifying them.
Then the leader and Mo Yi on the opposite side took turns harassing me.
I'd still be patient and answer every question from the moneylender who provided me with the accommodation. But as for Mo Yi, I'd scold him, saying he was just too full to eat and that he should go find me some spare parts instead of wasting his time. Then Mo Yi would be happy and happily go off to look for parts.
Anyone with a discerning eye could see that I treated people differently based on their closeness. The leader on the other side also realized this, so he changed his strategy and started with the weapons I had been researching, trying to find topics to talk about with me and build a closer relationship.
[Mo Xun: Then it was abruptly interrupted.]
Me: Because my mom woke me up and told me to get up and eat.
