Chapter 239: Tomb Adventure

"There won't be any zongzi, right? Zongzi are zombies, right?"

The dim passage made Ji Chuan feel a little uneasy. If it were the original him, he would definitely not be afraid. He even felt friendly to the zombies as if they were his own brothers.

He can command his subordinates to help him explore the way, and he can also feel where his subordinates are hiding in this ancient tomb, and there will be no surprises in the appearance of each subordinate.

But he is an ordinary person at the moment. When he meets his younger brother, he will only want to taste his own saltiness.

I usually have an ugly face, stink, and all kinds of dirty stains on my teeth. It must be painful to be tasted by such things.

Thinking of this, Ji Chuan quickened his pace and waved the flashlight back and forth to check the road ahead.

Even in the end of the world, no one would be killed by zombies in an ancient tomb, right? Thinking of this, Ji Chuan felt the psychological pressure reduced.

Zongzi should only be something in literary works and should not exist in reality. The ancient mechanisms should also be designed based on some simple physical principles and should not be too dangerous.

Ji Chuan was comforting himself, and he seemed to hear vaguely footsteps coming from behind him.

In an instant, the hairs on his back stood up. He quickly turned around and shone the flashlight behind him. There was nothing, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

"I really scared myself."

Maybe it's the echo of footsteps caused by the empty space.

“Why is this road so long?”

Ji Chuan began to wonder if he had chosen the wrong road. Just as he was considering whether to return, he discovered that the slope of the road had changed.

He was a little excited. If the road became sloping, it meant that he could go up along the slope. Would this be the exit leading to the ground?

My luck is indeed pretty good. I can choose a path that leads to the ground no matter which one I choose.

Although the slope seemed to be getting steeper and it was somewhat tiring to climb, Ji Chuan still moved forward. He knew that his time was limited and he couldn't waste it in the ancient tomb. The antiques from the end of the world were of little value.

Ji Chuan stepped down, and the bricks on the ground sank with a crackling sound.

"Did the land collapse due to disrepair?"

Just as Ji Chuan was about to check the ground beneath his feet and consider whether he should move forward carefully, he felt the entire corridor shaking and something seemed to be rolling above his head.

A bad premonition arose, and as the rolling sound stopped above his head, Ji Chuan almost subconsciously ran behind him.

A spherical boulder fell directly not far from him. The ground shook slightly when it fell, and the boulder almost filled the entire corridor.

Due to the slope of the corridor, the boulder began to roll downhill towards Ji Chuan.

"damn it!"

Ji Chuan hurriedly ran back the same way he came. If he ran slower he would be crushed into a meat patty. He didn't want to experience this kind of death in this body.

He threw the backpack behind him on the ground. He didn't need a metal detector to search for treasures in the ancient tomb. He only kept the pickaxe and flashlight in his hand, maybe he could dig a hole and get out.

The boulder easily crushed a backpack of tools into pieces. Ji Chuan discovered that the flying ability was actually underestimated by the purple crystal core. If he had the flying ability at that moment, it could definitely save his life.

"Deadleg, run!"

Ji Chuan hadn't run for a long time and felt like his joints were about to fall apart. After hesitating for a moment, he threw away the pickaxe and flashlight.

The mining lamp on his head was enough. Without the weight in his hands, Ji Chuan felt that he was moving faster.

Finally he saw the space at the intersection, and he quickly ran into the door on the left. The stone ball would not turn, so this door was the best choice.

Ji Chuan jumped with all his strength and fell to the ground in the left door. The giant stone ball was stuck in the space behind him, making a dull "bang" sound, and the surrounding area was shaking.

A thick cloud of dust fell from the corridor. “Ahem…”

Ji Chuan panted heavily, enjoying the joy of surviving the disaster. "I tried my best to save you. You have to give me some air so that I can get some clues."

Ji Chuan talked to himself like a mental patient. After a simple rest, he continued to move forward. The road behind him was blocked by huge rocks. He had no choice but to move forward.

He took every step carefully, fearing that he would step on any mechanism again. If another stone ball came, he would die immediately.

He shook his head carefully, trying to use the mining lamp on his head to illuminate the surrounding environment.

He thought he heard footsteps behind him again.

Was there any response just now?

Ji Chuan broke out in a cold sweat. He mustered up his courage and turned back quickly, but this time he saw a very horrifying scene.

A man emitting blue and white light all over his body stood there, staring at him intently.

“Ghost!!!”

No, the appearance of zombies is strange enough, why would ghosts appear? Did I travel to a parallel world? Was the end of this world caused by ghosts?

Ji Chuan was very afraid of the dark and even more afraid of ghosts when he was a child. Song Huai always used this to amuse him. Now he hopes that Song Huai can appear here to scare him, as long as he is someone familiar.

This is much more exciting than doing single-player missions in script-killing games. All the NPCs here are real, and the ghosts are all played by real ghosts.

Ji Chuan ran quickly in panic, but he accidentally stepped on empty air and fell down.

Is there a deadly trap underneath? Ji Chuan felt a little desperate. He hadn't found any clues yet, and this door seemed to be wasted.

“Ouch!”

Ji Chuan felt a pain in his body, but luckily there was something under him to cushion him, so he only got some scratches when he fell and grabbed around.
