CompletedSince transmigrating, Jiang Zhaoxue's life has been smooth sailing. That is, until she met Shen Yuqing and suffered greatly for love. She always thought this was a brain disease caused by love, until one day, she had a dream. In her dream, she saw a male protagonist's face-slapping, leveling-up novel.
The male protagonist, Pei Zichen, was originally the Celestial Lord's top disciple and the sect's pride. Due to the affection of his junior sister, he was envied by his master, who deeply loved the junior sister. When Pei Zichen was framed by his fellow disciples, his master abused his power, crippled his spiritual roots, and cast him down a cliff.
Afterward, accompanied by his junior sister, he leveled up and cultivated, eventually returning to the immortal mountain. He killed his master, annihilated the sect, married his junior sister, and eliminated everyone who had ever bullied him. Among those he eliminated were his master, his master's wife (his shiniang), and their entire family.
That cannon-fodder shiniang was her, Jiang Zhaoxue. The dream was too terrifying. After waking up, Jiang Zhaoxue quickly found a way to descend the mountain to find the male protagonist, intending to kill him, seize his treasures, and defy her fate. Unfortunately, her attempt to seize his treasures failed.
She could only set up a formation on the male protagonist, using his destiny and life force to create a sliver of hope for herself. To change her fate, she deceived him, enticed him, and when he was betrayed by everyone, she jumped off the cliff with him, carrying him through snowstorms. All the while, she cursed him in her mind, planning how to get rid of him once her goal was achieved.
Pei Zichen was unaware of any of her schemes. He only remembered that the wind was strong the day he fell down the cliff. He couldn't hear her words clearly; he just leaned against her shoulder, covered in blood, and looked at this woman, whose eyes had always only held his master. He called out in a daze, "Shiniang?"
That was the address he used when he first met her at the age of twelve, after climbing three thousand heavenly steps to reach her. It was also the name he came to hate the most in his later life.
Reading Tips:
1. The male protagonist has a growth arc; he's not always a "junior lover." There will be times when he is assertive. Only emotional dominance (male loves female more than female loves male) is guaranteed, not societal status. Those who want absolute female dominance should be cautious.
2. The female protagonist is not a good person. She wouldn't do evil if she had a choice, but between harming herself and harming others, she chooses to harm others. I've never written her as thinking she's a good person. She only acts kindly when she has the ability and choice. Don't misunderstand that I'm portraying a glorious and righteous image; she's simply a selfish, ordinary person.
3. Once you enter this novel, don't have too many moral demands. The moment you click to enter a story about "Shiniang x Disciple," you should be prepared for moral ambiguities.
4. There's a lot of male competition and chaotic love triangles. The female protagonist is slightly irresistible to all.
5. The female protagonist genuinely liked the second male lead for two hundred years, and her emotions were amplified, leading her to do outrageous things. Her inherent personality wouldn't sacrifice rationality for love, so after she sobered up, her style of acting changed dramatically. This doesn't mean she was completely manipulated and had no feelings at all. She had some, but not many.
6. The plot points are cliché, and the romance is melodramatic.
7. Updates are irregular and not necessarily daily. Even if you find I might update at a certain time, it doesn't mean I promise to update at that time every day.
