CompletedIn the high-tech star empire civilization, Corsis, a college student who accidentally transmigrates into a noble family, finds herself about to be married to the empire's General Nukhla.
Unexpectedly, Nukhla is her strict military professor back at school. Too defenseless in this alien world, she reluctantly marries him and desperately prays for an early divorce.
Generally, General Nukhla is quite amiable with students except for one thing — he is exceptionally harsh towards his assistant Corsis. Any slight imperfection from her would be immediately pointed out without mercy.
At night, Nukhla, wearing only a loosely draped bathrobe on a soft bed, speaks gently: “Corsis, I was wrong… Sleep here tonight, okay?” Seeing his exposed broad chest and the submissive posture, Corsis is speechless — her anger vanish, coming to lie down beside him.
Besides the Corsis-Nukhla story line, there is another subplot about a substitute lover in the entertainment industry: a gentle substitute lover facing a depressed, money-flush patron.
Liyang, a temporary substitute for a celebrity actor, meets his patron Xu Qingze who keeps him as his secret lover. After three years of satisfy each other's needs, when the substitute is no longer needed, he decides to quit as the real object returns, leaving the patron devastated.
In the end, Xu Qingze chases after Liyang who returns to his hometown, confessing his wrongdoings and declaring his true feelings.
Note: The story involves a 13-year age gap (22 vs 35). Both characters live long lives so the age difference is not significant. The work is non-gore in nature.
