In the Great Qian Dynasty, Qin Ze, who transmigrated and became the son of the Tiger Might General, was cast aside by the Empress after she used him, stripped of his military power, and enfeoffed t...
The night breeze was blowing gently. Although it was mid-February, it was no longer cold. A strand of golden hair sticking up on the girl's forehead was swaying gently in the night breeze.
Her fair face was adorned with freckles, her chin was pointed, and her lips were pink and white. But the most striking feature of her delicate face was her pair of bright eyes.
Looking into those pale blue eyes, Dingle was stunned.
Smed then laughed and said, "As you can see."
After Smyth finished speaking, Dingle came to his senses, and a smile appeared on his face:
"Pota Smit?"
The girl said timidly, "Yes, sir."
Do you recognize me?
Dingle looked into those familiar eyes and shook his head: "I don't know them, but I think we do now."
“My name is Dingle Albert. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Porta.”
"Excuse my intrusion, but did you... just wake up today?"
“Yes, sir,” Potta said softly, and Smed added, “just a few hours ago.”
"I told her to stay in the hospital a few more days, but..."
Before she could finish speaking, Potta's previously serene expression suddenly became lively; she pouted and interrupted, saying:
"Okay, I'm fine."
Smyder smiled helplessly, and Dingle smiled too, saying, "So, Smyder, you're going to take Miss Potta home?"
Smed scratched his head and hummed in agreement.
Porta immediately added, "Brother Smed saved me, I want to invite him home for dinner."
"Mr. Dingle, have you had dinner?"
Dingle nodded knowingly and said with a smile, "I've already eaten, and my stomach is still very full."
Bota blinked. "Okay, then you can come to my house next time. It's at number 28 Tanin Street."
Dingle agreed, "Okay, but I probably won't be able to go for a while. I have to go on a long trip."
"Going on a long trip? Colonel, where are you going?" Smed asked, puzzled.
Dingle did not answer directly. He glanced at Porta, pondered briefly, and then said, "Some work-related matters."
“By the way, Smyth…” He hesitated, then stopped himself.
Smed immediately understood and turned to Potta, saying, "Children shouldn't listen to adults. We need to talk about work."
Pota made a face, stuck out his tongue, pulled his head back in, and closed the car window.
Dingle walked over to Smed and whispered, "Huffman told me about her. Are you sure she's alright?"
"Hmm...it seems like I'm alright, just a little weak, but I think I'll recover quickly."
“Okay, but we still need to keep a close eye on her. Huffman originally asked me to help her find her family. Now that she's awake and knows where her home is, have you notified her family yet?”
Hearing this, Smed, enduring the pain, bent down and whispered, covering his mouth with his hand, "Colonel, her family is in the car."
"Huh?" Dingle was taken aback.
Smed explained in a low voice:
"Her sister was in the car, but she fell asleep shortly after getting in."
"You don't know, the reason Pota woke up tonight is because her sister was taken to the hospital, and she was woken up by her sister."
"Also..." Smed stammered, his eyes becoming somewhat strange.
This puzzled Dingle greatly, and he frowned, saying, "Speak your mind."
Smed swallowed hard before continuing, "Her sister caused quite a scene in St. Marienplatz, alarming many people, even your... uh, alarming Senator Wolfgang."
"It's about Porta. After the councilor learned about it, he mobilized people to find her. It didn't take long to find St. Mary's Hospital. I was there when the guards rushed into Porta's ward. It startled me. I thought they were looking for me."
"Later, someone brought Bota's sister to the ward and asked her to recognize her family. Of course, her sister recognized her immediately. Then she stayed by Bota's side, calling her name and talking about her childhood. Not long after, Bota woke up."
"That's basically it."
When Smed finished speaking, Dingle froze, looking at the carriage behind Smed with a complicated expression.
I just felt that the whole thing was just too bizarre.
In the evening, as I walked out of the palace, people returning from St. Marienplatz told me about the commotion that had occurred after the execution.
A woman launched a scathing attack on her father, Wolfgang. In the end, the father, who was extremely concerned about his reputation, knelt down in front of the crowd and even wept bitterly.
Fortunately, this incident did not escalate into a bloody incident like the last one, and it was definitely a good ending.
And it all started because of that woman who was described as "crazy".
But now, this so-called "crazy woman" turns out to be the older sister of the girl, Pota?!
This is truly unexpected. What kind of coincidence led to this eventual development?
If Porta's sister hadn't disrupted the rally, would the enraged crowd have clashed with the new government over Von Palen's body? Could it have even led to another tragedy?
If the father hadn't led the officials to kneel and apologize to the people, sincerely repenting, would the people have chosen to leave, or would the conflict have escalated further?
