"Operator, hello. If you are hearing this broadcast, it means the erosion has already begun, and we have started to be forgotten by the world."

Chapter Sixty-Five Transgender

Everyone was looking at He Yu.

The man held the string against the priest's neck, his face calm, while the one holding the sword was equally composed.

"What's wrong? Weren't you being pretty aggressive just now?" Andrew said.

He stared into the other person's eyes, his tone incredibly relaxed, as if he didn't care at all whether he lived or died.

“You may kill me,” he continued, “but someone will be buried with me soon.”

He Yu stared at him; it was a chilling smile, dazzling and sharp under the blood-red light, making one's breath catch in their throat.

Everyone watched as an outsider confronted the ruler of Jerusalem in full view of the crowd, his murderous intent and hysteria laid bare at the climax of the theatrical performance.

They remained locked in this stalemate for ten seconds before He Yu finally withdrew his hand, and Andrew Lie's sword-wielding hand slowly drifted away—he should have killed this reckless young man.

The other person was still smiling, staring intently at him. Everyone was familiar with that look; it was like looking at a dead person.

He said to him softly, "Do you think I care? You idiot."

A deathly silence fell over the surroundings. The fighting had stopped as if by unspoken agreement, and everyone watched the desperate confrontation. The voice of the person in question could be heard clearly.

Pandora stood in the middle of them, staring at He Yu. The light reflected in her eyes, making her seem numb and indifferent, as if her soul had been stolen by this inhuman and painful massacre.

And so, under those astonished gazes, He Yu raised his knife and swiftly slit the girl's throat. Blood gushed out instantly, splattering onto the faces of the two men, making the former's smile even more ferocious.

Andrei retreated, the gun still pointed at Pandora's body, but he no longer had his usual calm and composure. He looked at him with fear and anger, like a prisoner on the altar, filled with boundless hatred.

"How dare you...you!"

He Yu pushed Pandora away casually, as if he had just encountered a piece of trash. What could he do? In the eyes of this group, he was just a lowly "operator"—no matter how many people he could kill, that would never change. But the way he looked at the other party was like a wolf looking at a deer, with a condescending chill and an unreserved bloodlust.

Bamke was stunned and didn't react for a moment. He was hit hard on the shoulder, probably by an axe or something. The blade got stuck in his shoulder blade. It was a bad blow. He casually turned around and slashed back, and blood flowed down his arm.

Beneath his loose black hair, his eyes looked as if they were soaked in blood, and he was looking like he was having a fierce battle.

He glanced around, and everyone instinctively stepped back, clutching their weapons, but no one dared to approach.

They thought this person was too strange. Every attack seemed to be predictable, and he killed several ambushers in just a few minutes. He could even dodge bullets. It was outrageous.

As Bamke's gaze swept across them, none of the seasoned veterans met his eyes; their expressions were filled with uncertainty and fear. There was nothing around him except the corpses; the people had left a large empty space around them, as if they were no longer actors suffering together on stage, but rather another extreme species.

Although the number of people was still greater, Bamke knew that the battle was almost over. Apart from He Yu and Andrei, these people would no longer fight him because it was pointless.

But that doesn't mean I won't take the initiative.

He wiped the blood off his hands, threw the broken knife on the ground, and walked towards them.

No one spoke, and no one tried to stop him. Under the dim fluorescent light, everyone just kept backing away, staring wide-eyed as he approached.

Then something even more outrageous happened, which looked like the work of the dead Pandora.

As Bamke dodged a hail of bullets and prepared to stab the idiots a few times, a glimpse out of the corner of his eye revealed a group of people rushing out of the gate. He paused, then instantly understood what was about to happen from their expressions—

But he didn't shout anything, because the sound waves behind him suddenly exploded, sweeping away everything around him.

Flames and steel fragments rushed in from the ventilation ducts, the fireworks burning the sky and turning half the sky red, making it appear dazzling and murky.

A person engulfed in flames burst out, screaming inhumanly horrific screams. The air smelled of burning plastic sheets, reminiscent of the garbage dumps scattered throughout the old city, filled with crippled and cheap crops.

He Yu was so shocked that he almost fell over. Someone grabbed him and dragged him back two steps. His cheek was scratched by falling shards, and blood was flowing out, but he didn't have time to care.

Andrew seemed to wake from a dream, only managing to reach out and grab him by the collar, but Bamke turned around and kicked him away. At the same time, a second explosion occurred.

Regardless of what was exploded the first time—whether it was liquid fuel or something even more terrifying—the second explosion was always far more powerful.

There are many accelerants in the gene pool. Now, it is unclear whether someone has been lying in wait for a long time, getting carried away and wanting to destroy more characters, or whether it is related to Beelzebub's authorization.

The flames attempted to turn everything that was still alive, as well as the dangers that were making the show progress too fast, into ashes.

Bamke didn't know how many people would die this time, but it was sure to be a lot. Under the flames, the corpses that had been pieced together around the gene bank were charred. Even with so much reinforcement, the alloy building still collapsed with a crash, unable to remain standing under the continuous explosions, like a box-shaped hell.

He heard countless cries of agony and pleas for help, or perhaps it was just his imagination. In that instant, the destructive power was so great that almost no one had time to make a sound. Their minds were filled with chaotic thoughts, but the burning world remained silent.

Perhaps it was because of those brutal scenes... Many people rushed out of the flames, only to collapse at the doorway. The air was filled with the smell of roasted meat. People screamed and suffered in this hellish box before turning to ashes, marking the end of this potion-grabbing spectacle.

He figured this must have gone through several pre-show discussions, such as when to detonate the bomb, the size of the area, the quantity to use, and how many people had to die. In the end, a decision was made that someone would receive the reward they deserved, while the other unlucky ones would only die in purgatory.

Beside him, He Yu shook his head, stood up, and even pulled Bamke along, saying, "Don't worry, I'm fine."

The man, of course, didn't believe a word of it and retorted directly, "Your intestines are coming out; I just stepped on them."

"Ah, sorry." He laughed nonchalantly, then picked up a burning sword from the ground and plunged it into his heart.

“You…” Bamke sighed, then smiled and said, “How enviable.”

Just then, everyone heard a loud notification sound.
