Chapter Two: Framed

The girl who had previously asked Jiang Yixing to share a ride was the first to speak up, "Is your knee alright?"

The director frowned and urged the medical staff to come onto the scene immediately.

The boy next to them rushed over to help Jiang Yixing and the somewhat bewildered female lead in Jiang Yixing's arms.

The female lead stood up, her face somewhat pale, and quickly helped Jiang Yixing up. Only then did Jiang Yixing get a closer look at the female lead. She had a face that wasn't particularly conventionally beautiful, with a bit of baby fat on her cheeks, big, round eyes, and a small, delicate nose, making her very pretty and cute.

"Thank you, thank you! Are you alright? Where's the doctor? Call a doctor quickly."

Gu Ruini's eyes were full of worry. She had heard it most clearly, and the collision must have been quite severe! She had fallen herself, yet she had caused someone else to get hurt. Gu Ruini was both angry and sad, and reached out to check Jiang Yixing's wound.

Jiang Yixing had already noticed the girl's tears were about to fall, and quickly said, "It's okay, it's okay."

Medical staff rushed over, helped Jiang Yixing sit down, pulled down her trouser leg, rolled it up, revealing a dark purple patch. A large purple spot appeared on Jiang Yixing's fair leg. Even through the trousers, the skin was broken, and blood was slowly seeping out, quickly turning the wound red.

The onlookers gasped in shock, and some girls quickly looked away, as if watching would cause them pain.

"Oh dear, this is a bit serious. We'll treat the external injury first, then go to the hospital for an X-ray to see if the bones are damaged. Bear with the pain!" The doctor took out a cotton ball soaked in alcohol and cleaned the wound.

Jiang Yixing didn't even frown, but the people around him all hissed.

Jiang Yixing couldn't help but laugh out loud, "You guys look like you're in more pain than I am."

Seeing that Jiang Yixing could still laugh, the boy next to him gave him a thumbs up and said, "I admire you as a real man!"

The doctor was also surprised. This girl looked thin and frail, but he didn't expect her to be so tolerant of pain. She didn't utter a sound when the alcohol was applied, and her legs didn't even tremble. In the past, whenever she had her wounds treated on set, her assistant would have to hold down the actors' legs. Some of the male actors would pretend not to cry out, but when you looked at their legs, they were already shaking uncontrollably.

"Wow, impressive, young lady."

Jiang Yixing smiled and raised her eyebrows. "It's a minor injury, it doesn't hurt."

Jiang Yixing was truly not afraid of pain, but Gu Ruini was in excruciating pain for her. Her brows were furrowed like two twisted ropes. Watching from the side, she didn't dare to touch Jiang Yixing easily, for fear that any wrong movement from her would delay Jiang Yixing's treatment.

Gu Ruini had never suffered such injustice in her life. She didn't even have a single scar on her body; she had always been well protected by her family. Yet today, on her first day of shooting an advertisement, she had caused such a serious injury to this seemingly frail girl.

She was furious, her tears stopped, and when she turned around, she was fierce, her baby face stern and looking quite serious. Gu Ruini rushed to a female extra's audition and, without saying a word, slapped her hard across the face.

That girl was the very culprit who caused Gu Ruini to fall, but she was hiding in the crowd, pretending nothing had happened.

Unlike the other girls who tied their hair in a ponytail, she had long hair draped behind her. A look of shock crossed her face; she covered her face with one hand, her eyes instantly reddening. Pointing at Gu Ruini with her other finger, she trembled, "You...how could you hit someone..."

Without saying a word, Gu Ruini slapped me again, her big almond-shaped eyes flashing with anger. "You pushed me once, hurting two people, so it's not too much for me to slap you twice, is it?"

"I didn't, how can you make false accusations..." Li Yan lowered her head, her hair falling down, revealing only a pair of tearful eyes.

A boy nearby couldn't stand it anymore and said, "Rennie, we need to figure out what's going on first, right?"

Li Yan looked at the boy who had spoken with a pleading expression, and stammered, "Thank you..."

The boy instantly felt needed, and a surge of emotion welled up inside him. He took two steps and stood in front of Li Yan.

Gu Ruini scoffed, her gaze fixed on Li Yan, who was hiding behind the boy. "You know perfectly well whether you do or not."

Gu Ruini wasn't buying it. She'd seen all sorts of tricks before. "If you mess with me, you'd better be prepared."

Li Yan's tears, which she had been holding back for a long time, finally fell. "Does this mean that the Gu family can bully people at will?"

The surrounding extras frowned. Wasn't this bullying?

Jiang Yixing took in everyone's reactions. "Did she push you?"

"Hmm." Miss Gu Ruini's gaze softened considerably as she looked at Jiang Yixing. "Is your leg alright?"

As he spoke, he took out his phone and made a call, "Hello, send two doctors over, and have a driver come in to pick them up."

Gu Ruini acted swiftly and decisively, leaving Jiang Yixing no time to stop her.

Those around them exchanged bewildered glances. It seemed that Gu Ruini really was a rich second-generation.

Those familiar with entertainment agencies in the industry know that the Gu family is an investor in Jiangnan Media, the largest entertainment agency in the industry. The Gu family is not only involved in the entertainment industry, but also in various other industries, making them one of the top wealthy families in B City.

Ignored, Li Yan bit her lip. "What right do you have to slander me? I demand an apology from you."

“Oh, I almost forgot about you,” Gu Ruini said, raising her chin slightly. “You don’t need to come tomorrow.”

"You... what gives you the right to make that decision!" Li Yan glared at Gu Ruini. "What right do you have to fire actors at will!"

Gu Ruini didn't want to waste a single word on this person. She simply nodded to the assistant director beside her, signaling him to fire Li Yan. Then she walked over to Jiang Yixing, whose leg wound had already been treated, with blood still seeping from the bandaged area.
