"Master..." Lin Chuan's heart trembled as well.

Fang Cili took a deep breath. "Good, it's commendable that you want to continue your studies."

"Master, I'm sorry." Lin Chuan's apology was very sincere.

In a lifetime, how many people can truly be for themselves?

Fang Cili waved his hand, "There's nothing to apologize for. I'm content that you've come to your senses now."

Fang Cili stared at Lin Chuan, his words laced with self-mockery, but his gaze was now increasingly resolute, radiating an inexplicable confidence.

At twenty-two, she had already experienced so much; she was a child with a hard life to begin with.

There was no soup in Lin Chuan's bowl, so Fang Cili put several pieces of meat into it. "Eat your food, have more."

After finishing the meal, Lin Chuan quickly went to clear the table.

Wei Shue stopped him, saying, "You cook but don't wash the dishes, you wash the dishes but don't cook. You've already cooked, so you should rest. If you're not in a hurry to leave, you can chat with your master."

Fang Cili rarely took out his treasured tea leaves and specially brewed tea for Lin Chuan.

The two sat down and chatted for a while, mostly about various things that had happened in the past few years.

Fang Cili and Wei Shue have two daughters, both of whom are now married and come back to visit on weekends or holidays.

Upon hearing that Lin Chuan had another daughter, Fang Cili laughed and said, "You're a lucky guy, you have two good girls. Make sure they study hard in the future and don't believe in things like getting married early."

"Master, don't worry, I have already made sure they study hard and are properly nurtured to become successful."

Fang Cili now felt a sense of pride, like that of a father, as if the child he had high hopes for had truly grown up.

Seeing Fang Cili like this, Lin Chuan's inner conflict was resolved.

Towards the end of the conversation, Lin Chuan remembered the matter between Fang Qiang and Wu Haijun.

"Master, I know two brothers who want to learn carpentry. I wanted to ask them about it..."

"Ask me if I can bring it?"

Before Lin Chuan could finish speaking, Fang Cili already knew what was going on.

Lin Chuan touched his nose. "Yes, I thought of you first because your cooking skills are the best."

"Stop flattering me! I was wondering why you came here today. Turns out you're here to ask me to take you on as an apprentice!" Fang Cili glared at him, his beard bristling.

Lin Chuan laughed, "Master, is that alright?"

Fang Cili snorted lightly, "Bring the person here first so I can take a look. I won't bring someone who's clumsy."

Lin Chuan stood up and bowed to Fang Cili, "Thank you, Master."

Fang Cili waved his hand, "Don't bother with all that fancy stuff, it's useless."

"Get lost, I can't be bothered to see you, you're keeping me from sleeping."

And so, Lin Chuan was once again chased outside by Fang Cili.

Lin Chuan tightened his collar, tucked his scarf in, and smiled helplessly.

Then he called out, "Master, I'll come again tomorrow, please prepare some wine for me!"

A voice came from inside, "You look like wine!"

Lin Chuan left with a smile, feeling incredibly relaxed.

After returning, Lin Chuan sent a message to Lei Yutang, telling Fang Qiang and Wu Haijun to come to the shop early the next morning so he could take them to see their master.

The next day, before dawn, Fang Qiang and Wu Haijun entered through the back door.

Lin Chuan wasn't finished yet. There were quite a few people eating noodles in the morning, so Fang Qiang and Wu Haijun washed their hands and started helping out.

After finishing this busy period, Lin Chuan instructed Lin Ping and Lin Wei to take the things he had prepared in advance, and then went out with Fang Qiang and Wu Haijun.

After loading the goods onto the donkey cart, Lin Chuan drove it off.

On the way, Lin Chuan explained, "The carpenter I found for you is named Fang Cili..."

"Fang Cili?" Fang Qiang was taken aback. "Brother, you mean Fang Cili, the most famous carpenter in our county?"

Wu Haijun was also surprised, "Brother, is it really that Fang Cili who has such amazing skills?"

Lin Chuan glanced at the two of them and said, "Do you two think I'm joking?"

Fang Qiang and Wu Haijun looked at Lin Chuan with admiration.

"Big brother, you are really amazing! You even managed to persuade Master Fang to take you as a disciple!"

“Big brother, you really are my big brother, my big brother for life. So many people want to become his apprentices, but he hasn’t accepted a single one.”

Lin Chuan cleared his throat. "Let me tell you two, I only said I'd take you two to see him. Whether my master approves of you or not is not up to me."

Fang Qiang's eyes widened. "Big brother, Master Fang is your master? No wonder he's so amazing."

Lin Chuan listened, and it seemed like things were getting backwards.

"He's very capable, that's why he taught me."

Fang Qiang smiled and said, "Brother, it's because you're so capable that you're valued by Master Fang."

The donkey cart headed straight south and stopped in front of Fang Cili's house.

Fang Cili heard the sound, looked up, and saw Lin Chuan coming again through the window.

He couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth into a smile.

She seemed to be in a very good mood.

Wei Shue looked outside and exclaimed, "Oh dear, Da Chuan is here! Go and see him!"
