Chapter 22 The cold-faced puppy picked up her waist

The Cheng family, no, their family has never been this lively before.

As soon as Shen Zhui opened the door, he heard men and women talking and laughing. There were several unfamiliar shoes in the shoe cabinet. He looked down and judged that there were two women and one man.

Who is the man?

The wall near the shoe cabinet at the entrance blocked his view; he couldn't see inside, and they couldn't see him either. No one heard the sound of the keypad lock opening the door, and no one came to greet him.

Just as Chen Zhui was about to slam the door shut, he heard a clattering sound. He looked down and saw it was the neighbor's Border Collie.

The Border Collie wagged its tail and nuzzled up to him.

Footsteps approached again. Cheng Guo, holding a half-peeled crayfish between her fingers, was overjoyed to see him return. Her eyes were brighter than usual, curving into beautiful arcs. She looked him up and down, as if she had seen him completely into her heart before speaking: "Why did you sneak back without telling me? Come in quickly, Ruan Ning, Shu Shu, and Zhou Nanyu are here."

No man can resist the admiring gaze of his girlfriend, and Shen Zhui immediately forgot his slight displeasure and followed Cheng Guo inside.

The rug in front of the living room sofa was rolled up to one side, a tablecloth was laid on the floor, and several servings of spicy crayfish and barbecue were placed in the middle. The four people sat around it in a circle, each with a can of beer in front of them, and were eating happily.

Today, Chen Zhui was busy catching a flight, so he was still wearing his shirt and trousers. After greeting a few people, he naturally walked into Cheng Guo's room, closed the door, and changed into a comfortable T-shirt and sweatpants.

When they came out, Ruan Ning bumped into Cheng Guo's shoulder and asked with a mischievous grin, "Can I still sit on your bed?"

Cheng Guo nodded as she ate her crayfish, while Ruan Ning smiled without saying a word, her gaze toward Chen Zhui intriguing.

Shu Shu, who was sitting next to Cheng Guo, got up and sat between Cheng Guo and Ruan Ning, interrupting their conversation. Shen Zhui sat down in the open space, and Zhou Nanyu moved closer to him. Shen Zhui was about to move closer to Cheng Guo when he turned his head and saw the Border Collie pushing its little food bowl between them, with no intention of moving aside.

Shen Zhui glanced at Cheng Guo, who was laughing so hard he collapsed on Shu Shu, and had no choice but to give up.

He hadn't seen Zhou Nanyu for a while. Zhou Nanyu handed him a can of beer, which he took and placed beside him, asking how he was doing.

Zhou Nanyu's career is just starting out. He landed the second male lead role in a new drama and also got an endorsement deal. He took two days off from the production team to film the commercial and originally planned to go back tonight. But when he heard that Ruan Ning was coming to Cheng Guo's place, he was curious about what the sofa Chen Zhui had been sleeping on for the past month was like, so he came along.

"Take the people away quickly." Shen Zhui put on gloves, picked up a crayfish, removed the head, pinched the body and tail and shook it a few times, and a whole crayfish meat came out of the shell.

He moved swiftly and skillfully, peeling the fruit without eating it, and naturally placed it in the bowl in front of him.

Cheng Guo glanced at him in surprise, pinched a piece of shrimp meat and put it in her mouth, then was called away to chat. Zhou Nan asked in astonishment, "When did you learn this skill?"

When Shen Zhui lived with them, he always acted like a young master and was a clean freak. At that time, someone in the dormitory didn't like to wash his socks, so Shen Zhui bought that person a whole box of socks and told him to throw them away after wearing them. How come he suddenly became such a dutiful husband in front of his sister?

The three women were chatting, and Ruan Ning didn't have time to pay attention to Zhou Nanyu. He leaned over to Shen Zhui with interest and asked, "How did you peel it?"

He can also peel a whole one, but he's slow. He wants to learn from Shen Zhui and show off to Ruan Ning.

Shen Zhui had no interest in teaching him and continued peeling shrimp with a cold expression.

Watching his actions, Zhou Nanyu finally answered the question, "It's not up to me to decide."

That means he can't take Ruan Ning with him.

She added, "The two of them originally planned to drink until they dropped today."

Shen Zhui had already overheard the gist of it. Ruan Ning and Shu Shu both had good news to celebrate recently. Ruan Ning was on summer vacation, and Cheng Guo and Shu Shu happened to be off work tomorrow. The three of them planned to eat and drink to their hearts' content tonight.

Sure enough, even after the crayfish were all gone, the party still hadn't ended. There were still a few cans of beer left. Ruan Ning raised her hand and suggested, "Let's play a game. The loser drinks, and then we all go home."

Shu Shu immediately seconded the suggestion, and the group finally decided to play a game where one of them had to put down their fingers and take a sip of wine.

The group kept an eye on each other. Ruan Ning and Zhou Nanyu regretfully lowered a finger, and everyone's gaze turned to Chen Zhui.

He smiled and said, "I had appendicitis surgery a while ago."

“You managed to slip up,” Zhou Nanyu said, moving closer to Ruan Ning. “It’s all because we’re both too healthy.”

The group laughed and continued.

Ruan Ning: "I have taught students."

Zhou Nanyu: "I've acted in movies."

Shen Zhui: "I've had an appendectomy."

Cheng Guo: "My partner and I live under the same roof."

After one round, Shen Zhui put down only one finger, Cheng Guo put down two, and the other three put down four.

The young couple who openly protected each other and flaunted their affection were scorned by the public.

Next, another couple racked their brains to recall the things they had done together. Seeing that he was alone and at a disadvantage, Shu Shu stopped being polite and started using deadly moves.

"I have never been in a relationship."

Slightly tipsy, Cheng Guo pulled her down to sit and covered her mouth, saying, "Keep your voice down, is this something to be proud of?"

The three girls blushed and started making a ruckus. Shen Zhui knew that Cheng Guo had a low alcohol tolerance, so he lowered his head and drank his own beer. Taking advantage of the chaos, he switched Cheng Guo's beer with Cheng Guo's.

The game continued, and Cheng Guo, with his lightly floating beer can, exited the game.

When Teacher Zhang from next door came back, knocked on the door, and took the Border Collie away, they took the opportunity to leave.

Cheng Guo saw them to the door and told them to call her when they got home. When she turned around, Shen Zhui was taking off his T-shirt and throwing it aside, bending down to tidy up the placemats.

Long legs, broad shoulders, narrow waist, and a sexy, broad back with prominent muscle lines.

The young, vibrant, and powerful male body was right in front of her. Longing surged, and the effects of the alcohol rose. Cheng Guo closed the door, swayed over, squatted down, cupped Chen Zhui's face in her hands, and looked up to meet his gaze.

Why didn't you tell me you were coming back?

Shen Zhui looked at her. "Did you tell me in advance that you would leave the whole night for me?"

"No, tonight was arranged by Ruan Ningshu and me a long time ago," Cheng Guo answered honestly, quickly trying to cover up his displeasure when she noticed his expression. "But I won't let them come to the house, and I'll be back early."

Shen Zhui lowered his eyes, making it impossible to tell whether he had been appeased or not.

Cheng Guo patted his face, her voice tinged with alcohol, "Didn't you say we'd kiss as soon as you got back?"

The person being photographed looked up and met her gaze, his Adam's apple bobbing impatiently.

She was pulled up by the wrist, and no one cared about the mess on the ground anymore.

The same malty aroma mingled in their mouths as the bedroom door slammed shut, and Cheng Guo was forcefully kissed by Chen Zhui, who pinned her against the door.

It wasn't until a layer of sweat appeared on her bare abs and back muscles that Cheng Guo's hand slid down repeatedly before Chen Zhui finally let go of her, holding her back and panting softly.

"Go take a shower first, I'll tidy up the outside."

As the carpet in front of the sofa was laid back in its original position, the sound of water in the bathroom stopped. Cheng Guo opened the door and came out. Her hair was wet and stuck to her shoulders, with water dripping down the ends, quickly revealing the beautiful curve of her chest.

Shen Zhui didn't dare to look again and hurriedly went into the bathroom. This was the first time he had come in after she had finished showering. The scent of the shower gel was still in the steamy room, and the faint, indescribable fragrance on her body was still there.

His body showed signs of waking up prematurely. Chen Zhui took a deep breath, turned on the shower, and poured hot water over his head, flowing over his chest and back, finally gathering on the ground at his feet and heels. He brushed his hair back, revealing a handsome face, closed his eyes, held his breath, and rinsed for half a minute before wiping his face and speeding up the rinsing process.

When she came out, the bedroom door was open. Cheng Guo was sitting on the sofa with her long legs crossed, her charming long hair draped over her shoulders. She had changed into a long nightgown with an elaborate design, a semi-transparent black light mesh dress with gold embroidered patterns.

Seeing him come out, Cheng Guo stood up, her skirt swaying down to her calves, revealing delicate and beautiful ankles. Her slender but not skinny feet stepped onto the carpet as she walked towards him step by step.

Shen Zhui's gaze fixed intently on her, and seeing her standing in front of him, he smiled.

"Change your clothes? I want to see you put them on," Cheng Guo said.

His gaze shifted to the sofa, where he noticed the suit he wore on the day he received the award.

She seemed particularly fascinated by how he looked in a suit.

He looked up and examined her again.

"Is it good?" she asked again.

Shen Zhui curled his lips slightly, changed his clothes, picked her up by the waist without a word, took a few steps and threw her onto the bed.
