I married a petty hooligan in place of my sister, living a life of poverty. Who knew that my husband would suddenly transform into a mysteriously powerful and influential tycoon?
Jiang Can co...
“But…” Song Wan hesitated, “Mr. Lin, this is my business. I’m in charge of that class of children, so if the parents have any complaints or problems, it should be my responsibility to resolve them…”
"I told you not to go!" Lin Zhaojiang emphasized.
His gaze was deep, like a bottomless pool, surging with a fearsome aura.
Song Wan's heart skipped a beat. His expression was serious, even somewhat ruthless, but she was not afraid.
For some reason, she wasn't afraid of him, no matter what he looked like.
"Mr. Lin..."
"Wanwan," he said in a low voice, squeezing her shoulder firmly, "leave everything to me."
Song Wan suddenly realized that Lin Zhaojiang might know something...
Her heart was pounding like a drum, and her eyes were fixed on him.
"Mr. Lin, is there something you want to tell me?"
Lin Zhaojiang bit his lip, remained silent for a long time, and then told her slowly and deliberately, "I won't hide it from you anymore. Actually, I've already investigated your fiancé!"
"What did you say?"
Lin Zhaojiang took out the photos, and Song Wan felt her mind go completely blank for a moment.
“James’ mother, Sophia, has always been Bai Ruogu’s girlfriend,” Lin Zhaojiang said. “At first, I thought Bai Ruogu was just playing around with her, after all, that woman’s conditions were not that outstanding… But later I found out that Bai Ruogu was not just playing around with her, because I found out that several properties under his name had been transferred to this woman’s name.”
Song Wan was stunned for a long time, then suddenly felt her vision go black and her knees went weak. Just as she was about to fall, she fell into a warm and solid embrace.
Lin Zhaojiang looked at her with heartache and gently patted her back with his broad palm.
"Sophia caused a scene at the kindergarten today. I bet she wanted to embarrass you in front of everyone."
Song Wan's eyes reddened, and she felt a sense of helplessness, wanting to cry but unable to.
She was completely nestled in Lin Zhaojiang's arms.
His embrace was like her safest harbor.
"Don't go today," Lin Zhaojiang said in a low voice. "Don't worry, I'll handle everything."
When Lin Zhaojiang arrived at the international kindergarten, the parents sitting in the meeting room were indeed prominent figures in Yangcheng.
Among them are Huo Junyu and Jiang Mianmian.
Those people also recognized Lin Zhaojiang and nodded in greeting.
"Mr. Lin," someone asked with a smile, "has your child been bullied by this kid before?"
“No, not at all.” Lin Zhaojiang smiled. “My child has hit him before.” As he spoke, he sat down next to Huo Junyu and Jiang Mianmian.
"Is Yuan Yuan in a good mood?"
"Don't worry, Uncle!" Jiang Mianmian laughed. "Yuanyuan is very carefree. She hit someone and still thinks she's great. It's all because my dad taught her that!"
"Your father's parenting style is correct."
Huo Junyu and Jiang Mianmian exchanged a smile, then Lin Zhaojiang said, "Little Youzi, you're still pregnant, what are you doing here at this kind of event? Junyu could have come alone."
"My daughter hit someone, how could I not come?" Jiang Mianmian touched her belly. "I hope this one will behave better and not be like Yuan Yuan."
“Uncle,” Huo Junyu put his arm around Jiang Mianmian and chuckled, “We’re here partly to deal with our daughter’s affairs, and partly… Xiaoyouzi and I are both a little curious about who James’s father is.”
"Ha, what kind of good person could she be!" Someone interjected at this moment. It was the wife of one of Huo Junyu's business partners, who usually had a close relationship with the Huo family.
"Hey, just look at that child's mother, you can tell that the couple are definitely a bunch of snakes and rats, that's why they raised such a bad son!"
Jiang Mianmian patted the back of her hand and smiled at her.
"Mrs. Huo, I know you have a good temper and are magnanimous, but don't stop me later!" the woman said indignantly. "That brat bullied my son, and I'm going to risk my reputation to get justice for him!"
The words had barely left her lips when the conference room door opened, and Sophia strode in, her high heels clicking arrogantly. James stood beside her, frowning and glaring at everyone with a look of deep resentment.
Sophia patted her son's head to reassure him.
"Principal, everyone." She took off her sunglasses, a slightly mocking smile curving her bright red lips. "My son was beaten at kindergarten, and I'm determined to get to the bottom of this!"
"Where is Ms. Song?" She looked around, not seeing the main character of the day, and frowned. "She's the homeroom teacher of this class, shouldn't she be showing up?"
However, she had barely finished speaking when she heard a deep voice from somewhere: "What, you're not going to solve the problem just because Teacher Song isn't here?"
Sophia was startled and turned to see Lin Zhaojiang sitting to the side, playing with a lighter. The man's leisurely expression revealed a hint of ruthlessness. He suddenly raised his eyes, and the cold light in his eyes was like two sharp swords, making her heart tighten.
Lin Zhaojiang said with a half-smile, "Teacher Song isn't here, but the principal is. What, is the principal not qualified to handle this issue?"
“You…” Sophia remained arrogant, “Who are you? What gives you the right to point fingers here?”
Before Lin Zhaojiang could speak, an impatient parent stood up and said, "Madam, we really need to have something to say in front of everyone today! Do you know why your son was beaten? He's a bully in kindergarten, throwing his weight around! My son, Aze, has been bullied by him several times!"
"My Xiaoxing did the same thing; he broke all the toys he brought! Those were all limited edition figurines, ma'am, what do you think we should do to compensate him?"
