Dr. Zhao didn't speak, but stared intently at the instrument screen, which displayed various data about the equipment's operation. The curves, which should have fluctuated regularly, were now chaotic, as if they had been subjected to strong interference.

Seeing this, Liu Xiaodi was secretly delighted and put on an even more enthusiastic performance. He pointed at Ning Yu, raised his voice, and said, "Dr. Zhao, look at these data. It's obvious that he was hit by a powerful energy shock! Besides Ning Yu's loss of control of his superpower just now, what else could have caused this result?"

Ning Yu frowned, sensing a hostile intent directed at him. He looked at Liu Xiaodi with sharp, piercing eyes and said coldly, "Liu Xiaodi, you can eat whatever you want, but you can't say whatever you want. I was focused on training the whole time. When did I touch any of this equipment?"

"Who knows if you did it on purpose?" Liu Xiaodi met Ning Yu's gaze defiantly. "Maybe you just wanted to sabotage the equipment so we couldn't research superpowers and you could monopolize the resources!"

“You…” Ning Yu was furious. He clenched his fists, wanting to teach Liu Xiaodi a lesson no matter what.

"Enough!" Dr. Zhao slammed his hand on the table, interrupting the argument. He looked up at Ning Yu, his eyes filled with inquiry. "Ning Yu, can you explain what's going on?"

Ning Yu took a deep breath, suppressing his anger. He knew this wasn't the time to act impulsively; he needed to prove his innocence. He looked at Dr. Zhao and said earnestly, "Dr. Zhao, I can guarantee with my integrity that I absolutely did not do anything to damage the equipment. I have always cooperated fully with your research and hoped that the research on superpowers could achieve a breakthrough. How could I possibly do such a thing?"

“But…” Dr. Zhao wanted to say something more, but was interrupted by Liu Xiaodi.

"Dr. Zhao, you can't just listen to his side of the story!" Liu said anxiously. "The evidence is conclusive, you must stand up for us!"

Dr. Zhao fell silent. He looked at Ning Yu, then at Liu Xiaodi, caught in a dilemma. He knew Ning Yu had always performed exceptionally well and shouldn't have done such a thing, but the data didn't lie; the equipment malfunction had indeed occurred after Ning Yu's training.

Just then, Brother Wu, who had been silent all along, stepped forward. He walked to Dr. Zhao's side and said in a deep voice, "Dr. Zhao, I've been watching from the side the whole time. Ning Yu has never left my sight since the start of training, and it's impossible that he would touch those devices..."

Dr. Zhao's brow relaxed a little at Brother Wu's words. He had always trusted Brother Wu's character and knew he wouldn't lie easily. "Brother Wu, are you sure? This is no small matter."

"You..." Brother Wu was furious, but Ning Yu stopped him. Ning Yu shook his head slightly, signaling him to calm down. He knew that the more flustered he became, the easier it would be for someone to find fault with him.

"Dr. Zhao, look at this!" Liu Xiaodi seemed to have been prepared. He pulled a cloth bag from his pocket, opened it, and inside were some small metal tools. Pointing to the tools, he said, "I just found these at Ning Yu's training area. These tools are made of a special material that can interfere with supernatural energy fluctuations, and our equipment malfunctioned precisely because of this interference!"

Ning Yu's pupils contracted slightly. He recognized at a glance that those tools were not his own, but he was certain that these things had never appeared in his training area before. He suddenly looked up at Liu Xiaodi, his eyes icy cold, as if he could see through all of Liu's pretenses.

“These things…” Ning Yu was about to explain when Liu Xiaodi interrupted him.

"You still want to argue?" Liu Xiaodi pressed closer, pointing at the tools and shouting, "These are all evidence! What else do you have to say?"

Dr. Zhao looked at the tools, then at Ning Yu, his suspicions deepening. The appearance of these tools was too strange, and Ning Yu's behavior was also somewhat abnormal. Could it really be as Little Brother Liu said, that Ning Yu deliberately damaged the equipment?

"It wasn't me..." Ning Yu took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He knew that nothing he said now would make a difference; only by finding real evidence could he prove his innocence.
