Chapter 233 A Fatal Strike, A Reversal of Fate

A stench assaulted their nostrils, and the giant python's gaping maw was inches away. Ning Yu could even feel its sharp fangs slicing through the air, aimed straight at his arm. In the nick of time, Mu Xue's dagger plunged deep into the python's mouth, stopping its fatal blow.

"Roar!" The giant python roared in pain. It released its grip on Ning Yu and turned its head angrily toward Mu Xue.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ning Yu rolled to the side, panting heavily, feeling as if his body was about to fall apart. The giant python's coils had almost killed him; his whole body ached, and he could barely muster any strength.

"Run!" Ning Yu struggled to his feet and shouted at Mu Xue. He knew that in his current state, he had no chance of defeating the enraged python; his only hope was that Mu Xue could escape.

But Mu Xue did not heed Ning Yu's words. She gripped the dagger tightly, staring intently at the giant python, showing no sign of backing down.

"Don't be silly, you go! I'll hold it off!" Ning Yu shouted anxiously. He tried to stand up despite the excruciating pain in his body, but to no avail.

The giant python seemed completely oblivious to the conversation between Ning Yu and Mu Xue; it had already locked onto its prey and was preparing to launch a deadly attack.

Mu Xue took a deep breath. She stopped trying to persuade Ning Yu and focused her attention on the giant python in front of her. She knew that now was not the time to argue; only by fighting with all her might she have a chance to survive.

The giant python slowly approached Mu Xue, its massive body causing the ground to tremble slightly with each movement. Mu Xue gripped her dagger tightly, her eyes fixed on the python's every move, searching for an opportunity to strike.

Suddenly, the giant python moved! It pounced on Mu Xue like an arrow released from a bow. Mu Xue was prepared; she dodged to the side, barely avoiding the python's attack. The python missed its target and crashed heavily to the ground with a loud thud.

Mu Xue did not let this opportunity pass. She gripped the dagger tightly and stabbed it toward the head of the giant python!

With a crisp "clang," the dagger pierced the python's scales, but only left a shallow white mark, unable to harm the python in the slightest.

Mu Xue's heart sank. She knew that ordinary attacks would have no effect on this giant python; she had to find its weakness.

Ning Yu watched all this from a distance, his heart filled with anxiety. He struggled to stand up, but fell to the ground again and again. His gaze fell on the faintly glowing spot on the giant python's body, and a thought struck him: this was very likely the python's fatal weakness.

He wanted to warn Mu Xue, but he couldn't make a sound. The giant python seemed to sense that Ning Yu had discovered its weakness; it coiled even tighter, causing Ning Yu's bones to creak and groan. He felt as if the python was about to break his body...

In the distance, Mu Xue, hiding in a crevice in the rocks, anxiously searched for any usable tools. Suddenly, her eyes lit up… In the distance, Mu Xue, hiding in a crevice in the rocks, anxiously searched for any usable tools. Suddenly, her eyes lit up—a sharp branch was half-hidden among the rubble! This branch, struck by lightning some time ago, had been dried thoroughly by the scorching sun, yet it still retained a terrifying sharpness. Mu Xue, as if grasping at a lifeline, rushed over without hesitation and, with all her might, pulled the branch out of the pile of rocks.

Ignoring the dust clinging to the branch, Mu Xue gripped her only weapon tightly, her gaze fixed resolutely on the giant python. Ning Yu was coiled around the python; his situation was extremely critical. She had to do something!

"Ning Yu, hold on!" Mu Xue shouted, then gripped the tree branch and charged towards the giant python without hesitation.

"Mu Xue, don't come any closer! It's too dangerous!" Ning Yu was terrified when he saw Mu Xue's actions and shouted at the top of his lungs. He had personally experienced the power of the giant python; Mu Xue rushing over like that would be suicide!

Hearing Ning Yu's cry, Mu Xue paused, a hint of hesitation flashing in her eyes. But when she saw Ning Yu being suffocated by the giant python, his pale face contorted in pain, her heart ached as if pierced by needles.

"I can't worry about anything else!" Mu Xue gritted her teeth, her eyes becoming unusually determined. She gripped the branch in her hand and charged towards the giant python again, faster than before, like a burning flame, rushing headlong into danger without hesitation.

The giant python naturally noticed Mu Xue's actions, a hint of contempt and disdain flashing in its cold, vertical pupils. This insignificant human dared to provoke it? Truly courting death!

The giant python roared, its massive body shifting slightly as it diverted a portion of its power, striking towards Mu Xue with lightning speed...

The giant python was incredibly fast; almost in the blink of an eye, its thick tail swept towards Mu Xue with a foul stench. Mu Xue dared not take the blow head-on and could only desperately dodge. She nimbly rolled on the ground, barely avoiding the fatal attack. Enraged by its missed strike, the python rolled its massive body across the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust, and continued its fierce assault on Mu Xue.

"Damn it!" Ning Yu was extremely anxious as he watched Mu Xue teeter on the brink of death under the giant python's attacks. He desperately tried to break free from the python's grasp, only to find himself being bound tighter and tighter, almost unable to breathe. However, at this critical moment, he suddenly felt the giant python's body loosen slightly as it wrapped around him.

It turned out that the giant python had diverted some of its power to attack Mu Xue, giving Ning Yu a chance to catch his breath. A thought struck him, and he stared intently at the python's seven-inch mark, where a scale shimmered faintly—the python's fatal weakness, which he had previously discovered!
