Transmigrator Ning Yu relies on his special abilities and a system to survive on Earth after a nuclear war. He meets the older, alluring Mu Xue and confronts hypocritical ability organizations, ult...
A blinding white light engulfed everything, and a deafening roar seemed to tear the heavens and earth apart. At the epicenter of the explosion, Ning Yu's golden energy shield fluctuated violently, like a candle flame in a storm, threatening to go out at any moment.
The aftershocks of the explosion lingered, and the air was filled with the smell of scorched earth and gunpowder. When the dust settled, Ning Yu emerged from the light. He knelt on one knee, his clothes torn in many places, but his eyes remained resolute.
"Cough cough, Ning Yu, are you alright!" Mu Xue rushed out from behind him, anxiously checking his injuries.
"I'm fine," Ning Yu shook his head, took a deep breath, and stood up. "The enemy has been consumed by their own madness. Now it's our turn to fight back!"
At the center of the explosion, only a huge crater remained; those enemies who had tried to perish together with Thor's hammer had long since turned to ashes.
"Report! The enemy command post has been destroyed, and the remaining troops are fleeing!" A communications soldier ran up quickly, excitedly reporting the battle situation.
"Good!" A glint flashed in Ning Yu's eyes. "Pass down the order: the entire army will attack, leave no one alive!"
"yes!"
Ning Yu watched the fleeing enemy in the distance, a cold smile playing on his lips. This battle hadn't been easy for them. The enemy's frenzy had caught him off guard; if he hadn't been prepared, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
"Let's go, it's time for us to reap the rewards of our victory." Ning Yu turned to look at Mu Xue, his eyes gleaming with confidence.
On the smoke-filled battlefield, Ning Yu's figure was like a sharp sword, leading his forces like tigers descending a mountain to charge at the fleeing enemy. Shouts of battle and the sounds of gunfire mingled together, announcing that the scales of victory had completely tipped. Those once arrogant and domineering enemies were now like stray dogs, being wiped out one by one in fear.
Mu Xue, wielding two energy pistols, moved across the battlefield. Each trigger pull took a life. Beneath her icy expression lay a hint of excitement—the joy of victory and anticipation for the future.
The pursuit lasted a full day, and the battlefield gradually returned to calm only as the sun set. Ning Yu stood on high ground, looking at the devastated battlefield and the enemy corpses scattered everywhere, but his heart remained completely unmoved.
"Clean up the battlefield and collect all usable weapons, equipment, and supplies!" Ning Yu ordered, his tone tinged with fatigue but filled with determination.
The exhausted soldiers, upon hearing Ning Yu's order, immediately roused themselves and began clearing the battlefield. Soon, large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and various scarce supplies were piled up into small mountains.
Looking at the mountain of spoils before them, everyone's face broke into excited smiles. This victory not only meant their safety, but also a tremendous opportunity for future development.
"We've captured a lot of good stuff this time!" Mu Xue said excitedly as she walked up to Ning Yu. "With these supplies, our strength will increase significantly!"
Ning Yu nodded, a long-lost smile appearing on his face: "Yes, these were all bought with the blood and lives of our soldiers. We must make good use of them and not let them down."
"Don't worry, I will definitely use these supplies where they are most needed!" Mu Xue assured her.
Looking at the busy crowd, Ning Yu suddenly felt a surge of heroic ambition. This battle made him realize more deeply that in this chaotic apocalypse, only by possessing great strength could he protect himself and those he wanted to protect.
"Pass down the word, everyone will celebrate victory tonight! Starting tomorrow, we will..." Ning Yu stopped abruptly, gazing into the distance where an unusual aura seemed to be approaching.
"What's wrong?" Mu Xue keenly noticed Ning Yu's change and followed his gaze, but found nothing. "Is something the problem?"
"I can't quite put my finger on it, but I just have a feeling..." Ning Yu frowned slightly, the unease growing stronger. "Tell everyone to be on high alert and increase vigilance!"
Despite her doubts, Mu Xue immediately carried out Ning Yu's orders. The soldiers moved with practiced ease, and the previously relaxed atmosphere was instantly replaced by a tense and deadly one.
Ning Yu's premonition was correct; after a brief period of calm, an even greater storm was about to break.
Over the next few days, Ning Yu remained vigilant, investing the captured supplies into building up his forces. Advanced weaponry was distributed to experienced soldiers, powerful ability users received more systematic and professional training, and the dilapidated fortifications were repaired and even reinforced with energy shields captured from the enemy.
Ning Yu knew that in this dog-eat-dog world, only by constantly improving his own strength could he remain invincible.
"Report! The recruitment of new members has been completed, and the total number has now reached five hundred!" A member in charge of recruitment reported to Ning Yu.
"Very good. Tell the new brothers that as long as they contribute to the faction, I guarantee they will all live a good life!" Ning Yu nodded in satisfaction.
As night fell, Ning Yu gathered all the core members together, the dim light illuminating their serious faces.
"Although we have won this time, it does not mean we can rest easy," Ning Yu said in a deep voice, glancing at everyone. "Greater challenges lie ahead, and we must be fully prepared!"
"Boss, just tell us your plan, we'll all listen to you!" a burly soldier shouted, and the other members nodded in agreement.
"I plan to..." Ning Yu paused, then said with a determined look, "to explore even more distant areas!"
