But this female pirate was luckier than Boyle; she held on until the rescuers arrived.

Thanks to her tenacious vitality and healing abilities, she survived the most dangerous period, and her vital signs gradually stabilized, although she remained in a coma.

Entrusting Aisha to Rachel, Todd had to rush back to the arena before anyone else became suspicious.

Along the way, the number of guards was far greater than usual, presumably because last night's rescue operation had angered those in power.

However, as long as Aisha remained under Rachel's protection, Todd believed that the Ulsters would not be able to find them even if they turned the entire city upside down.

Back in the "Red Circle," Todd changed his clothes, took a shower, and got ready when he happened to witness Ackerman and Kasper's battle against the barbarian sisters.

Frankly, apart from the gladiators themselves, nobody cared about this fight.

Even the gladiator's managers, bored after the entrance gates were raised, leaned against the wooden pillars and began to doze off.

Neither of the two fighters were famous gladiators, so the number of spectators was naturally very small, and there was even an awkward situation where an entire row of the stands was empty.

Throughout the venue, there were only scattered shouts, which, upon closer listening, were mostly malicious requests such as "Take off those two women's clothes" and "Let us hear their moaning."

As the bell on the high platform rang, the gladiatorial combat officially began.

Immediately afterwards, a loud crash woke up all the drowsy audience members.

Parly's twin blades struck Casper's shield with tremendous force, producing an echo as loud as a bell.

Using his eagle eye and X-ray vision, Todd looked at Casper's tower shield and discovered its secret: the shield was covered with a layer of iron sheet. When an impact occurred, the hollow gaps beneath the iron sheet would emit an echo, thus increasing the momentum and creating the effect of a powerful impact.

Todd didn't teach them this design; it must have been an improvement they came up with themselves after thinking about and verifying it. It seems these four guys really put their hearts and souls into this fight.

Ackerman hid behind Kasper, using the tower shield for cover and striking with a shortbow; one of the barbarian sisters was responsible for drawing the shield bearer's attention, while the other went around to try to attack the archer.

This team-based fighting style impressed the Ulsters.

Ackerman knelt on one knee, took aim, and then "shot" an arrow through a gap in the tower shield, aiming straight for Parly's shoulder.

The latter seized the opportunity and raised his double-edged sword.

The arrowhead collided with the blade, and a dazzling burst of sparks bloomed on the battlefield.

A gasp of surprise rippled through the audience.

The metal tip of the arrow collided with the blade, producing such dazzling sparks. This demonstrates the astonishing strength of the archer and the incredible speed of the parryer's reaction!

More and more spectators stood up from their seats and began to pay attention to this battle that they had not initially expected to win.

Every arrow Ackerman hurled with a treacherous angle, every incredible rescue Casper made, and every wave of attacks from the barbarian sisters elicited increasingly loud cheers and applause.

The monotonous and boring battles in the arena in the past could no longer satisfy the people of Ulster. Suddenly, there was a gladiatorial match that far surpassed the usual ones in terms of both tactics and fighting. How could these people not be captivated by it?

About ten minutes into the battle, Ackerman suddenly found an opportunity and unleashed a rapid double volley. The first shot was blocked by Parney, but the second arrow pierced her thigh.

The blood gushed out like a spring, instantly soaking the earth.

Parne clutched her thigh and screamed as she fell to the ground.

Her sister, Parly, shielded her with her weapon while shouting at her to stand up.

In front of a large audience, Parne bit down hard on the strip of cloth on her wristband, gripped the dangling arrow with one hand, took a deep breath, and pulled the arrowhead out, blood and flesh still attached.

The heart-wrenching screams and the bloody, mangled wounds sent a shiver down the spines of all the spectators in the arena.

Parne quickly bandaged her wound and limped back into the fight. The audience erupted in a tidal wave of praise and acclaim.

What a brave and strong female warrior! Even after suffering such severe injuries, she was still able to continue fighting for her loved ones and for victory.

This fighting spirit is admirable to everyone.

The battle lasted fifteen minutes. Due to wounds and tactical issues, the barbarian sisters ultimately suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the shield-bow duo.

Kasper's dagger was pressed against the neck of his sister Parly, who opened her arms to protect her younger sister.

This scene moved everyone present, and almost everyone gave a thumbs up, indicating that all four people could survive.

Ackerman looked around the room, his trembling bow finally lowering. He exchanged a glance with Parly, who was equally nervous, and smiled in relief.

Todd smiled as he left the stands.

The battle performance came to a perfect end, and what happened afterward was no longer of his concern.

As Todd entered the gladiator quarters, a young, well-armored swordsman waited on the stone steps, observing him with curious eyes.

The young swordsman appeared to be in his early twenties, with the typical features of a man from the northern snowy plains: sharp, well-defined features and an extraordinary air. He wore a suit of armor crafted by a renowned designer, and his longsword was engraved with intricate family crests.
