Chapter 60 Hiding

Alfonso gripped his greatsword tightly and began counting the number of monsters. There were about fifty enemies. Although they weren't moving fast, being surrounded head-on would definitely not be a good thing.

Karin, who was in the group, saw this scene and bit her lip. Suddenly, she took out a dagger from her pocket and frantically chiseled at the door, drilling a small hole about two centimeters in size.

He immediately understood what she wanted to do. Todd grabbed at the girl's clothes, and before he could utter a single "No," the girl had vanished through the doorway. The sound of a pebble hitting the floor came from the other side of the door. A moment later, the heavy door opened.

Alfonso and Leslie first looked at the open door, then took a deep look at Karin.

As Todd entered the house, his first action was to shield the girl behind him, while warily glancing at the Papal knight and his squire.

To his surprise, the two men belonging to the Inquisition did not ask any questions, as if nothing had happened, and turned around to bolt the door.

Soon, the infected swarmed in, banging and knocking on the door and walls. The four of them stood with their backs to the outside and their faces inward, desperately blocking the only barrier in front of them.

Two or three minutes later, a sound that sounded like the howl of a ferocious beast came from outside, deafening and capable of splitting clouds and rocks.

The infected individuals outdoors stopped moving and ceased their attacks.

The floor beneath my feet began to tremble, and dust fell from the wooden beams of the roof.

A humanoid creature nearly two meters tall slowly approached from the distance. As it passed the houses, it stopped in front of the team's hideout. The space inside instantly darkened; the light from the moon and fire was completely blocked by the enormous monster outside.

After lingering for a while, the humanoid creature left, heading towards Watchtower. From the bright red flesh and skin on its back, vibrations similar to the thumping of a rattlesnake's tail could be heard from time to time.

Those infected individuals who had been stagnant began to move again, following closely behind, heading into the distance.
