The alien warship has been at sea for four days.
Aisha stood at the bow of the ship, looking at the distant horizon through binoculars.
The distant sea, under the sunlight, was not the usual deep blue, but rather a disturbing grayish-black.
Aisha put away her binoculars and asked Ivy beside her, "When will the scouts be back?"
Evie looked up at the sky: "It's about time."
In the gray clouds in the sky, a figure appeared and disappeared, and the sound of wings beating against the air could be faintly heard.
With a mournful cry from a griffin, a Valkyrie and her mount plummeted from mid-air onto the deck.
Under the astonished gazes of the crowd, a loud thud resounded as the heavy impact caused the deck to creak and groan.
As the crowd gathered to watch, they saw hundreds of undead parasites clinging to the bodies of the Valkyrie and the griffin—a scene that sent chills down their spines.
"Get a few people to help! Hurry up!"
Aisha quickly found several Crusader sailors wearing dragonbone armor, and together they worked together to clean the parasites off the Valkyrie and the griffin.
Evie picked up a plucked parasite and examined it closely.
The parasite was curled up in a ball, motionless, showing no signs of activity whatsoever.
The ship's doctor examined the Valkyrie and the Griffin again, and found that apart from some wounds that were healing, they were generally fine.
Ivy asked the Valkyrie scout, "What's going on?"
Valkyrie Scout: "Those damned infected seagulls! They roam in flocks, patrolling the sea, and once they spot a living creature, they'll relentlessly pursue it! Luckily, I'm fast enough to shake them off."
Aisha watched as the Crusaders threw the parasite remains into the sea and said to Ivy, "Luckily, your people, and that hairy beast, were vaccinated in advance, otherwise there would be another undead Valkyrie in the sky right now."
Evie examined the Valkyrie's wounds again and nodded, saying, "Once the vaccine is administered, as long as the heart and head are not damaged, there will be no danger to her life."
Aisha pursed her lips: "It's not absolute. If you fall into a horde of undead and your limbs are torn apart, causing large wounds, you will still die from excessive blood loss."
Ivy asked the Valkyrie, "What did you discover during your patrol?"
Valkyrie: "To the south, six kilometers from here, we can clearly see undead creatures on the surface of the sea... I saw infected fish, dolphins, and even an undead shark!"
Aisha leaned closer and asked, "What about the waters near the coastline? Are there undead there too?"
The Valkyrie nodded: "There are also traces of the undead in the shallow sea, but their numbers and distribution are somewhat different. In the deep sea, there are more undead in the water; in the shallow sea, there are more undead in the sky. Oh, the undead in the sky I'm talking about are the seagulls, herons, bats..."
Ivy and Aisha exchanged a glance.
Ivy asked, "Which route do you think we should take?"
Aisha: "In the deep sea, there are more marine undead; in the shallow sea, there are more aerial undead. If I had to choose, I would prefer to go to the shallow sea."
Evie: "Why?"
Aisha: "The outer hull of the warship can be raised, lowered, and extended. During navigation, it can be completely sealed, enclosing the hull into an oval-shaped keel sphere, leaving only a few observation holes."
"In this way, it can effectively resist external attacks."
"If it's an attack from the sky, at most it will cause cracks in the upper deck of the warship, but it won't affect navigation; but if it's an attack from the sea, then it could damage the bottom of the ship. I don't need to explain what will happen."
Evie said, "Leaking, sinking."
Aisha: "That's right, so I chose the shallow water route."
Evie nodded: "I have no objection, and I also support taking the shallow sea route."
Aisha looked at the sea before her, took a deep breath, and said to the sailors around her, "Listen up, everyone! From here, we will raise the deck of our warships. We will not stop at the coast or rest along the way. We will go straight to the Supuha Mountains!"
Ivy whispered to Aisha, "Are you sure? Such a long journey, no rest stops along the way?"
Aisha explained, "Once the ship slows down, it becomes very easy for the undead to attack in groups. Only by maintaining speed can we pass through the areas where the undead gather and reach our destination."
Evie: "Then what about the power? Can the ship sail for that long?"
Aisha: "The ship's propulsion mainly comes from the electricity generated by the Tesla parasite. There are two main power rooms and one backup power room on board. If the ship is moving at half speed, the three power rooms will take turns supplying power, and the power is enough to support the ship all the way to the Supuha Mountains."
Evie thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "Okay, I have no more questions."
After saying this, Ivy turned and walked towards the cabin door on the deck.
Aisha waved towards the watchtower and shouted, "Retract the tower! Raise the keel! Switch the warship to cruising mode!"
A tremendous scraping sound emanated from the warship's hull as countless keel planks peeled off the outer armor, slowly rising and gradually covering the entire deck.
Aisha, standing in the center of the deck, looked up at the sky. The sunlight and scenery were slowly obscured by the keel, eventually turning into darkness.
Aisha shouted again, "Turn on the lights!"
Countless Tesla parasites embedded in the keel armor began to activate their power generation mode under the stimulation of nerve threads.
A soft yet bright moon-white light emanated from the parasite's body, flowing like moonlight throughout the ship's interior, illuminating everything.
Aisha followed the sunken tower stairs into a room constructed from keel.
Aisha sat down in a special chair shaped like a dragon bone, leaning back as dozens of parasitic nerve hooks extended from the back of the chair and slowly pierced her spinal nerve system.
With a painful groan, Aisha's nervous system was completely connected to the keel of the entire ship, and images of every cabin on the ship gradually appeared before her eyes.
Aisha steadied herself and began to issue orders in her mind as the captain.
"One, two, three, four keel thrusters, enter the water!"
"Open the stern airtight door and adjust the hull attitude and water depth."
"Main Storage Chamber No. 1, half-voltage discharge."
"Artillery control enters hibernation, electronic cloud activated."
After a series of orders were relayed, every cabin on the ship began to operate in an orderly manner.
The enormous propeller, shaped from the keel, began to spin beneath the sea surface.
The churning water and foam left several deep marks behind the hull.
The alien warship, which looks like a bullet, embarked on the final leg of its journey south.
