The blue light on the entire beacon tower gradually faded and eventually turned gray and stopped.

In the very next second, blinding red light patterns instantly covered the entire surface of the beacon tower. This light symbolized a warning and also signified the end.

The red light that heralded the coming of the end times grew stronger and stronger, until finally, even through the magma, one could see the same red light emanating from deep underground.

Seeing this, Todd realized all too well that it was all too late.

The end of the world has finally come.

He crawled slowly back to Ivy's side, using all four limbs, staring blankly at the red-glowing beacon tower, muttering, "I failed in my duty, I let everyone down..."

Evie turned to Todd and said, "You've done everything you could."

Todd: "Everything we and they have painstakingly created, the kingdom we have built, will all be destroyed..."

Evie: "You are the king of all of us. Everyone trusts you and knows that you did not abandon them even at the last moment."

Todd bent down, let out a long sigh, and his eyes were no longer filled with fear and apprehension. He slowly said, "I will stand with my people, whether they live or die."

Evie reached out and took Todd's dragon claw: "We will follow you, wherever you go, whether it's the end of the world or eternal nothingness."

Todd lowered his head, looked at Evie, curled up to shield her in his arms, and said softly, "If the end of the world is unavoidable, then let's face it with a smile."

Evie didn't say anything, but simply smiled, took Todd's hand, and nodded gently.

Suddenly, a huge crack appeared in the space, a bright white hole, which slowly expanded in the cave and eventually stopped at one end of the platform.

Through the white hole, one can vaguely see the scene inside, which resembles a reflection in a lake.

It was a bustling town, with cars weaving along the roads and airplanes soaring through the sky.
