Chapter 670 Uninvited Guests

"Hand over all your things obediently, and maybe I can spare your life!" A man holding a worn-out pistol pointed the gun at the door and roared ferociously.

Their shouts rose one after another, forming a noisy wave outside the small shelter, as if to deafen Xiao Yi's ears. Their arrogant and domineering attitude seemed to have made sure that this shelter would definitely become theirs.

The burly man in the lead, a massive figure with bulging muscles, his eyes wide as he wielded the heavy axe, the blade slicing chilling arcs through the air. He gritted his teeth, the flesh on his face trembling with anger as he fiercely threatened, "Kid, get out of here if you don't want to die! I don't have the patience to talk to you!" His voice was like a resounding bell, shaking the air around him, and his ferocious expression seemed capable of cleaving everything in front of him in half.

Behind the door, Xiao Yi, though still recovering from his injuries, held a resolute and fearless gaze. He straightened his spine, clenched his fists, and shouted, "This is the shelter I painstakingly built. Don't even think about taking it away! I won't yield to your threats easily!" His voice was loud and resolute, echoing in the small space with unquestionable resolve.

Xiao Yi's heartbeat accelerated rapidly, but his eyes met the burly man outside the door without flinching, as if he wanted to defend this piece of pure land that belonged to him with his eyes and voice. His breathing became rapid, but every breath was filled with the power of resistance, and he was not afraid of the coming storm-like attack.

The two sides confronted each other like this, time seemed to freeze, and the air seemed to become heavy and oppressive.

Outside, the group's breathing grew heavier. The burly man in the lead gripped his axe, his knuckles turning white from the strain. His eyes grew fiercer as he stared intently at the closed door, as if trying to pierce it with his gaze. The others' faces were also grim, their grips on their weapons unconsciously increasing in intensity. Sticks creaked from their grip, and the safety on their pistols seemed poised to release at any moment.

Inside the door, beads of sweat oozed from Xiao Yi's forehead and slid down his cheeks, but his gaze remained firm, his body tense like a fully drawn bowstring, ready for the conflict that could break out at any moment. His heartbeat was as rapid as a drumbeat, and every beat was accompanied by tension and determination.

The surroundings were eerily quiet, with only the occasional whistling of the wind, like a silent prelude to a major battle. This stalemate made the atmosphere even more tense, as if a spark could instantly detonate this explosive situation.

Xiao Yi could feel his throat dry. He swallowed, trying to ease the tension, but the tense atmosphere was like a shadow, tightly wrapped around him. The group outside the door was also waiting in anxiety and anger, just waiting for an opportunity to explode.

The group stood outside the door, their originally arrogant demeanor gradually becoming impatient due to Xiao Yi's resoluteness to not give in. Their eyes began to reveal impatience, and their initial fierceness was gradually replaced by anger.

The leading burly man gritted his teeth, his cheeks puffed out, and his facial muscles twitched constantly. His hand holding the axe trembled slightly with anger. "This kid really doesn't know what's good for him!" He roared, his voice filled with uncontrollable anger.

The thin man holding a stick next to him began to stomp his feet and curse: "Why waste time talking to him, just rush in and beat him up!" His eyes were wide open, and his eyeballs seemed to be about to pop out of their sockets.

The other man holding a worn-out pistol kept tapping his palm with it, his face terribly gloomy. "Give him one last chance, or he'll be in trouble!"

The others joined in, their shouting growing louder and more excited, and they paced back and forth on the spot like a group of enraged wild animals, ready to break free from their cage and launch a bloody attack at any moment.

The atmosphere of the whole scene became increasingly tense. The group's patience had been exhausted and a fierce conflict was about to break out.

At that extremely tense moment, one of the thin but agile men suddenly raised his foot and kicked the door, which was not very solid to begin with, with all his strength. With a loud "bang", the door was kicked open and he rushed in recklessly like an out-of-control beast.

Xiao Yi's eyes flashed, and he swung the long sword in his hand without hesitation. The long sword flashed a cold light in the air, carrying Xiao Yi's determination and courage. His arm muscles tensed, veins bulged, and he instantly engaged in a fierce fight with the person who rushed in.

The man held a short knife and stabbed at Xiao Yi frantically. Xiao Yi dodged sideways and cleverly avoided the fierce attack, then swung the long knife backhand, and the blade chopped towards the opponent's arm.

Seeing this, the others could no longer hold back and rushed into the house like a tide. For a moment, the small space was filled with shouts and the clash of weapons.

A strong man raised a stick and smashed it towards Xiao Yi's head. Xiao Yi quickly squatted down and rolled to avoid the fatal blow. Another man holding an axe took the opportunity to chop Xiao Yi's back. Xiao Yi seemed to have eyes on his back. He turned around suddenly and blocked the axe with his long knife.

In the chaos, some were knocked to the ground, others' clothes were torn, and blood splattered everywhere. But everyone was bloodthirsty and showed no sign of retreating. The whole room seemed to have turned into a bloody battlefield, and a fierce and terrifying conflict broke out in an instant.

Although Xiao Yi's injuries had not yet healed, and every large movement would involve the wounds and cause waves of pain, his eyes were extremely firm, revealing a resolute and ruthless spirit.
