Chapter 813: Fighting Together 20

Xiao Yi's mind moved. If he could use this canyon to avoid potential dangers, it would be an excellent choice. He walked into the canyon. The stones under his feet were a little slippery, so he had to slow down and move forward cautiously.

The canyon was filled with a damp smell, and some mosses and unknown ferns grew on the stone walls. Xiao Yi noticed that there were some protruding rock platforms in the canyon that could serve as temporary hiding places.

Just then, he heard a low roar in the distance. Xiao Yi's heartbeat accelerated again. He knew that this might be some kind of ferocious beast. He quickened his pace, looking for a safer place.

Deep in the canyon, he found a cave. The entrance to the cave was blocked by some vines, and it was difficult to find without careful observation. Xiao Yi carefully pushed aside the vines and walked into the cave.

The cave was filled with a stale smell, and the ground was slightly damp. He scratched the cave wall with his dagger a few times, observing the interior in the dim light. The cave was not large, but it was large enough for him to hide.

Xiao Yi found a rock near the cave entrance and sat down, quietly waiting for the sound outside. The roar was getting closer and closer, and it seemed to be coming towards the canyon. He gripped the dagger tightly, his palms full of sweat.

After a while, a massive black bear appeared at the canyon's entrance. Its bulk was massive, its fur gleaming black, and its eyes gleamed with ferocity. It lingered for a moment at the canyon's entrance before slowly making its way down the canyon.

Xiao Yi's heart was in his throat. He tried to lower his breathing as much as possible, not daring to make a sound. The black bear seemed to smell a strange smell. It stopped, raised its head, and kept sniffing.

Xiao Yi stared at the black bear nervously, silently praying that it would not find his hiding place. After walking for a while in the canyon, the black bear did not find anything unusual and turned away.

Xiao Yi breathed a sigh of relief and slumped on the ground. But he knew that this was not a permanent place to stay, and he had to continue exploring to find a truly safe place.

He walked out of the cave and continued along the canyon. Soon, the canyon began to widen, and a wide meadow appeared in front of him. The meadow was full of colorful wildflowers. The flowers swayed gently in the breeze, as if beckoning him.

Xiao Yi walked out of the canyon and stepped onto the grassland. Suddenly, he felt the ground beneath his feet was a little soft, and a bad premonition came over him. At this moment, he found himself trapped in a swamp.

He tried to struggle to pull his feet out, but the more he struggled, the faster his body sank. Xiao Yi's heartbeat accelerated again. He knew that if he couldn't get out of the swamp as soon as possible, he would be swallowed up.

He calmed down and recalled the knowledge he had learned about swamp survival. He slowly lay flat on the swamp, trying to distribute his weight, and then used his dagger to dig into the ground next to him, trying to use the force to pull himself out.

After a lot of hard work, Xiao Yi finally got out of the swamp. He lay on the grass, gasping for breath, his heart filled with relief at having survived.

After this series of twists and turns, Xiao Yi became more determined to find a safe place. He stood up and continued to move forward. At the end of the grassy field, he found an abandoned castle.

The walls of the castle were mottled and worn, and the gate was closed, but from the outside, its structure seemed quite solid. Xiao Yi walked around the castle and found a broken window.

He carefully climbed through the window and entered the castle. The castle was filled with a decayed smell, and the hall was filled with debris and dust. Xiao Yi carefully explored each room and finally found a tattered map in one room.

The map marked the terrain of the area and some possible ways out. Xiao Yi studied the map carefully and gradually formed a plan in his mind.

He decided to rest temporarily in this castle, replenish his strength, and then continue his adventure according to the guidance of the map. In this world full of unknowns and dangers, Xiao Yi relied on his courage and wisdom to move towards hope step by step.

He found himself in an abandoned factory surrounded by tall cargo boxes and a maze of pipes. He rushed into the factory without hesitation, with the zombies chasing him closely.

Xiao Yi's heart was beating so fast that it felt like it was about to burst out of his chest. His breathing was rapid and disordered, and every breath of air seemed to carry a burning flame, burning his throat. His legs were moving rapidly like a whirlwind, but the creepy roar of the zombies behind him was getting closer and closer.

The moment he rushed into the factory, a stale, decaying smell hit him. Abandoned machine parts were scattered all over the floor, and the rusted steel structure looked eerie in the dim light. Xiao Yi's eyes quickly scanned the surroundings, his brain working rapidly, looking for an opportunity to dodge or counterattack.

He ran frantically through the debris-filled passage, tripping over his feet from time to time, but with his tenacious will he quickly got up and continued forward. The zombies poured into the factory like a tide, their twisted bodies and hideous faces looming in the shadows.

Xiao Yi turned into a narrow passage, with old wires and rickety pipes hanging on the walls on both sides. He squeezed through sideways, and behind him came the sound of zombies hitting obstacles, which slightly slowed down their speed, but Xiao Yi knew that this was only a brief respite.

Suddenly, he saw a room with a half-open door in front of him. Xiao Yi rushed in without hesitation, then quickly turned around and closed the door. He leaned his back against the door, breathing heavily, his ear pressed tightly against the door, listening to the movements of the zombies outside.
