After searching the first floor, Jiang Li started heading to the second floor. The second floor was mostly filled with clothing stores, all of which Jiang Li had in his spatial storage, so he mainly collected shoe stores. Occasionally, he would go in and buy some clothes that caught his eye.

As Jiang Li turned a corner, he heard a commotion not far away. Looking ahead, he saw four men robbing a woman's belongings. The woman was holding a little boy of about three or four years old by the hand in one hand, and holding a knife in the other, pointing it at the four men.

There were four men. One was a man wearing a floral shirt with a somewhat sleazy appearance. His arm seemed to be injured, probably from a woman's cut. Let's call him Sleazy Man Number One for now. Another man was also wearing a floral shirt, but the pattern was different from the previous one. The two men looked somewhat alike, so they were probably brothers. Let's call him Sleazy Man Number Two.

The third one was wearing a white shirt and tie, paired with suit pants and black leather shoes; we'll call him the shirt man. The last one was wearing a black patterned short-sleeved shirt with a big gold chain; we'll call him the necklace man.

"Let me tell you, you'd better hand over your phone and come back with us obediently. It's your good fortune that our boss has taken a liking to you," the sleazy man said to the woman. Their boss was probably the man with the necklace.

"Impossible! I'd rather die than go with you!" the woman said, glancing at the shirt-clad man standing next to the second lewd man.

"Gao Peng, are you just going to stand by and watch my son and me get bullied? You coward!"

The woman looked to be around thirty or not yet forty, but she had a great presence and was very beautiful. No wonder the man with the necklace was attracted to her.

Gao Peng is the woman's husband. He is rather cowardly. He and the woman went out to find supplies and encountered the necklace man and his gang. The necklace man took a liking to the woman, but she did not dare to resist.

Gao Peng blushed when confronted with the woman's questioning, but he could only try to stay silent.

"He Shan, I have no choice. Why don't you just give in?" After saying that, he didn't dare to look at the woman's face again.

"Pah, you're a coward!" He Shan cursed fiercely.

"He Shan, I'm doing you a favor by taking a liking to you. Don't be ungrateful. Your man can't protect you, but I can protect you if you're with me. Besides, you're a daughter with a child. I'm afraid you're having a hard time," the man with the necklace said with a hint of impatience.

He Shan glanced at her son behind her. The little boy whispered "Mom" to He Shan, and He Shan tightened her grip on her son's hand.

The man with the necklace gave the two lewd men a wink, intending to ambush the woman when she wasn't looking. The two lewd men received the signal and stealthily walked towards the woman from the side. Just as they were getting closer and closer to the woman and about to make their move, Jiang Li made his move.

Jiang Li wielded the Tang sword and swiftly moved towards the lewd man, cleanly slicing across his neck, causing him to fall to the ground.

The others were startled by the sudden appearance of the people, especially the man with the necklace and his group. Seeing Jiang Li take down one of them in an instant, they all had the intention to retreat and hurriedly fled.

Jiang Li certainly wouldn't give them a chance. He wielded his Tang sword, taking down the two men on either side. Then, he walked over to them, wiped the swords clean on their clothes, and put them back on his waist. As for the man in the suit, he was too scared to move. Jiang Li tied him up. He decided to leave the man to the woman to deal with. How the woman handled him was none of her business. He just hoped she wouldn't be disappointed.

Jiang Li originally didn't want to get involved, but after glancing at the little boy, he finally intervened.

"You can handle this guy, but if there's a first time, there will be a second. Think it through."

"Thank you for today, I understand, I won't be sentimental." The woman tightened her grip on the little boy's hand, then said to Jiang Li, "Could I borrow your knife for a moment?"

“Okay,” Jiang Li handed the knife to He Shan.

"Thank you," He Shan said to Jiang Li as she took the knife, then squatted down and spoke to the little boy.

"Haohao, shall we play a game? Turn around, close your eyes, and cover your ears. Wait for Mommy to come find you. If you can hold out, Mommy will give you something delicious in a little while, okay?"

"Okay, Hao Hao will hang in there. Hao Hao wants to eat something delicious." The little boy obediently turned around and did as He Shan said. "Hao Hao will be good."

"He Shan, please let me go. I really won't do it again. Hao Hao needs me. Yes, I am Hao Hao's father, He Shan." Gao Peng shook his head vigorously at He Shan.

"Yes, you still know you're Hao Hao's father. So where were you when Hao Hao was being beaten? Where were you when I was being bullied? And now you still have the nerve to say that?" He Shan's hand holding the knife was trembling.

"Don't come any closer, He Shan, you can't kill me! I just want to live! What did I do wrong? I..."

He Shan didn't give the man a chance to speak again, and stabbed him in the heart with a knife. Her trembling hand betrayed her fear, and finally, He Shan's tears flowed uncontrollably.

After composing herself, she wiped the knife clean and returned it to Jiang Li. "Thank you so much for today, otherwise I really don't know what would have happened."

Jiang Li took the knife, then took out a bag of small bread rolls and a bag of fruit candies from his backpack and gave them to the woman.

"Give these to your son. There's a supermarket downstairs with some food; you can try to find some. How are you going to get back?"

He Shan hesitated for a moment before accepting the things Jiang Li handed her. "Thank you. Our car is parked outside. The rest of them have always lived in the mall." This was something He Shan had heard them mention before. After saying this, she bowed to Jiang Li and then walked to her son's side.

"Haohao is so great, look, there's candy for you." He Shan peeled a fruit candy and gave it to Haohao.

"Really? It's delicious! Thank you, Mom!"

He Shan patted Hao Hao's head, then thanked Jiang Li before taking Hao Hao's hand and heading downstairs.
