As a Supporting Character, Why Do I Have So Many Heroines Around Me?

Xie Wei, by chance, learned from a system that his world had a 'Child of Destiny', and that he, Xie Wei, was like a minor supporting character with little screen time in a novel within this...

Chapter 10 Brother, will you teach me cultivation?

Seeing Xie Wei's miserable state, Dushi felt that he had gone too far and hid behind Qin Guang, as if afraid that Xie Wei would come over and blame him.

Xie Wei didn't hold Du Shi's retaliatory behavior against him. After all, he had injured the girl's face, but he hadn't hurt himself much, so whatever she did wasn't excessive.

"Slap! Slap! Slap!" Suddenly, a figure appeared beside him, sporting a signature short red haircut, thick eyebrows, and large eyes that held a hint of approval in Xie Weitian's gaze. His face bore numerous scars, the most severe being a line running from his forehead through his eyebrow to his eyelid. "Truly, heroes have always emerged from among the young!"

Upon seeing this person, the four men bowed deeply, saying, "My lord!"

The man simply nodded, then said to Dushi, who had been hiding behind Qin Guang, "You should be glad he used a blade. If he had used a sword today, you wouldn't just have this scar on your face."

After hearing the man's words, Dushi paused for a moment. "Yes!"

"It's time to go." After saying this, the person crossed his arms behind his back, glanced at Xie Wei, and then disappeared.

"Given that our people committed a foul, and that you've persisted for the duration of an incense stick's burning," Yanluo said to Xie Wei, his tone seemingly tinged with appreciation. "We keep our promise, and as agreed, you can leave."

"That girl isn't a heinous criminal. Let her explain the specific cause and effect to you when she wakes up," Chu Jiang said, seemingly afraid that Xie Wei would misunderstand and explaining the girl's identity to Xie Wei. But his words were as if they had been spoken in vain.

Xie Wei was stunned after hearing this. He originally thought that he would be the only one leaving after he finished the "game". After all, he could tell that the girl's identity in the underworld should not be simple. He should not let a stranger take her away. Could it be that there was a problem inside the underworld, which is why they had to protect her in this way?

And who was that person just now? Aren't people from the underworld usually not allowed to show their true faces? Why was that person not disguised at all? If he wasn't from the underworld, why did Yama and the others call him "Sir"?

Just as he was about to ask a question, he realized that all four of them had vanished. Xie Wei looked at the girl who had collapsed from exhaustion in the car. There were too many questions that remained unanswered, and his own thoughts were ultimately just guesses. He decided to wait until the girl woke up before asking her.

As if worried that the girl might not feel at ease while resting, he deliberately slowed down and chose a smooth road to go home.

Under the moonlight, as Xie Wei carried the girl in black into the apartment, Xu Daiwei happened to come out of the bathroom. Her white top and black shorts perfectly showcased her figure. Because Xu Daiwei used to tease Xie Wei by wearing nightgowns, Xie Wei had made her wear this outfit as her nightgown.

It wasn't that Xie Wei didn't want to choose other clothes, but the options Xu Daiwei offered were either silk nightgowns or backless nightgowns, and only the one she was currently wearing was somewhat normal.

Xu Daiwei was drying her hair, thinking that Xie Wei would come home and blow-dry it for her. Xie Wei did come home, but he had two black eyes and a swollen, bruised face.

Xu Daiwei walked towards Xie Wei with concern, wanting to take a closer look at the injury on Xie Wei's face. As soon as she got closer, she saw the girl in Xie Wei's arms, and the key point was that her face and figure were no less beautiful than her own.

"Ouch!" Xie Wei cried out in pain. He had just been fantasizing that his younger sister would come to his aid when she saw his injuries, but instead of her concern, Xu Daiwei pinched the bruises on his face.

"Oh! My dearest brother, you said you were busy this afternoon and didn't pick up your beloved sister, turns out you were busy picking up a corpse!" Xu Daiwei said sourly.

For some reason, Xie Wei felt a sense of impending doom from Xu Daiwei's tone, as if he wouldn't be able to explain himself properly. He quickly softened his voice.

"Xiaowei, I can explain this. Please help your brother carry her to her room, okay?"

Seeing Xie Wei's tired eyes, Xu Daiwei's heart softened immediately, and she couldn't bring herself to say the words she wanted to continue.

After placing the girl on the bed in another guest room, Xie Wei collapsed onto the sofa in the living room. Xu Daiwei took out a first-aid kit from under the coffee table and gently applied medicine to Xie Wei's wound, waiting for his explanation as she did so.

Fortunately, Xie Wei did not intend to hide the matter, so he briefly told Xu Daiwei what had happened that night. He did not hide anything because he wanted Xu Daiwei to see the real world.

After Xie Wei finished speaking, large tears dripped onto her face. Xie Wei, who had been keeping her eyes closed, thought it was raining, but how could it rain when she was indoors? She quickly opened her eyes and saw that Xu Daiwei's eyes were red and swollen, and tears were streaming down her face.

Xie Wei thought Xu Daiwei was afraid of that kind of world, so he quickly sat up to comfort her, "It's not that scary. Your brother is here with you. Your brother won't let you get hurt."

But after hearing Xie Wei's words, Xu Daiwei's tears didn't stop; instead, they flowed even more. She threw herself into Xie Wei's arms and said in a muffled voice, "Brother, will you teach me how to cultivate? That way, next time something like this happens, I'll be there for you. I'll become strong enough to protect you."

After hearing Xu Daiwei's words, Xie Wei suddenly realized that the girl wasn't scared, but just worried about him being injured. Xie Wei felt a long-lost sense of warmth in his heart.

Xie Wei didn't pay attention to the changes in his heart. He gently patted Xu Daiwei's head and felt that it was really great to change this little girl's fate. He was so grateful to the system.

After a moment of silence, he finally agreed. Since Xu Daiwei had already come into contact with that world, to avoid unnecessary trouble later, cultivating some skills would be beneficial for her self-defense when she went out. Moreover, Xie Wei had brought Xu Daiwei into this world, and he felt it was necessary to consider her future. Taking all this into account, Xie Wei agreed to Xu Daiwei's request.
